  • Patent number: 12148131
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes generating an inpainted image from a masked image using a patch-based encoder and an unquantized transformer. An image including a masked region and an unmasked region is received, and the received image is divided into a plurality of patches including masked patches. The plurality of patches is encoded into a plurality of feature vectors, wherein each patch is encoded to a feature vector. Using a transformer, a predicted token is generated for each masked patch using a feature vector encoded from the masked patch, and a quantized vector of the masked patch is determined using generated predicted token and a masked patch-specific codebook. The determined quantized vector of the masked patch is included into a set of quantized vectors associated with the plurality of patches, and an output image is generated from the set of quantized vectors using a decoder.

  • Patent number: 12149106
Abstract: An indexed sequence of bits in a buffer is allocated for tracking a battery charging state. The indexed sequence of bits has a first number of bits. A battery voltage of a rechargeable battery is sampled at a sampling rate. For each sampled battery voltage, the battery voltage is compared with a voltage threshold. A next bit position in the indexed sequence of bits is identified. In accordance with a determination that a comparison result is true, a predefined first value is added to the next bit position. A second number of bits that are filled with the predefined first value is determined. A ratio between the second number and the first number is also determined. In accordance with a determination that the ratio exceeds a threshold step-down ratio, a battery charge voltage is stepped down. The rechargeable battery is charged to a step-down voltage.

Abstract: Described herein are glucose sensors. The sensors are composed of host cells incorporating DNA devices specifically designed to produce fluorescence when the cells come into contact with glucose from a patient sample. Once the fluorescence has been quantified, it can be correlated with the amount of glucose present in the sample. Also described herein are extracts from the host cells that can sense and measure glucose levels in a patient. The devices and extracts disclosed herein are inexpensive but sensitive and accurate enough for use in both home and clinical testing situations. The devices and extracts disclosed herein are also useful for diagnosis of diabetes, pre-diabetes, or other diseases associated with elevated glucose levels.
