Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for assisting with event execution are provided. Data from a productivity application associated with a user may be analyzed. A significant life event associated with the user may be identified based on the analysis. A plurality of sources that each have at least one recommendation for executing a type of event corresponding to the significant event may be identified. An itinerary template for the significant life event may be generated from a plurality of the recommendations. The itinerary template may be surfaced. Additional examples of the present disclosure relate to identifying relevant applications for download to a user's device managed by an administrator device.

The end cap defines therein an end cap interior chamber. The isolation module comprises a first end coupled to the end cap and a second end having a first opening. The mounting module is coupled to the isolation module and at least partially is accommodated in the first opening, and the mounting module has a second opening. The conductive contact is at least partially accommodated in the second opening. The driving module is at least partially accommodated in the end cap interior chamber. The potted material is filled in the end cap interior chamber and surrounding at least part of the driving module.

Abstract: A system for the production of liquefied natural gas from raw natural gas. The system includes a pre-treatment module to remove impurities from a raw natural gas input, a gas compression module to compress gas received from the pre-treatment module, an absorption chiller for providing gas equipment cooling in the compression module, and a gas liquefaction module including a gas pre-cooler configured to pre-cool gas received from the compression module using a closed-loop refrigeration cycle and a six-stream heat exchanger unit configured to cool gas received from the gas pre-cooler. A power module is provided that powers the pre-treatment module, gas compression module, and gas liquefaction module.

Abstract: A method for design and fabrication of holographic optical elements for a compact holographic sight is proposed. The method includes use of ray-trace software to design holographic elements having optical power using an intermediate hologram with parameters obtained through minimization of the merit function defining image quality.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described that relate to authentication and/or binding of multiple devices with varying security profiles. In one aspect, a first device with a higher security profile may vouch for the authenticity of a second device with a lower security profile when the second device requests access for content from a content provider. The vouching process may be implemented by allowing the first device to overlay its digital signature on a registration request that has been signed and transmitted by the second device. The second device with the lower security profile may access content from the content provider or source for a predetermined time period, even when the second device does not access content through the first device.

Abstract: For flexible radio resource allocation, a processor 405 monitors for a transmission control 150/155 in a given Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol 10 of a first slot 11 based on a transmission control policy 290. The processor 405 further receives the transmission control 150/155 in the given OFDM symbol 10. The processor 405 determines available time frequency resources (TFR) 16 for a data transmission based on at least a symbol position 203 of the given OFDM symbol 10 and the transmission control policy 290, wherein the TFR 16 comprise at least one OFDM symbol 10 and at least one frequency range 15.

Abstract: The invention features devices and methods for the deterministic separation of particles. Exemplary methods include the enrichment of a sample in a desired particle or the alteration of a desired particle in the device. The devices and methods are advantageously employed to enrich for rare cells, e.g., fetal cells, present in a sample, e.g., maternal blood and rare cell components, e.g., fetal cell nuclei. The invention further provides a method for preferentially lysing cells of interest in a sample, e.g., to extract clinical information from a cellular component, e.g., a nucleus, of the cells of interest. In general, the method employs differential lysis between the cells of interest and other cells (e.g., other nucleated cells) in the sample.

Abstract: Poppet valve for an internal combustion engine including a valve stem and a single circular valve head attached at one end of the valve stem. The valve head has a circular peripheral contour and an arcuate edge without any sharp elements to avoid turbulence and improve flow around the valve to therefore maximize flow velocity. This translates into increased cylinder breathing in the intake cycle and reducing back pressure in the exhaust cycle.

Abstract: A dynamic signal to noise ratio tracking system enables detection and tracking of amusement park equipment within the field of view of the tracking system. The tracking system may include an emitter configured to emit electromagnetic radiation within an area, a detector configured to detect electromagnetic radiation reflected back from vehicles within the area, and a control unit configured to evaluate signals from the detector to survey the amusement park equipment to determine whether the equipment has degraded or shifted.

Abstract: Reduced voltage switching of a main switch in flyback power converters. At least some example embodiments are methods including: storing energy in a field associated with a secondary winding of a transformer, the secondary winding arranged for flyback operation within a secondary circuit of the power converter; charging a capacitor coupled to an auxiliary winding of the transformer; discharging the energy in the field associated with the secondary winding to provide an output voltage of the power converter; and when the electrical current flowing through the secondary winding reaches a predetermined low level reducing voltage across a main switch in a primary circuit of the power converter by coupling the capacitor to the auxiliary winding to create a voltage on a primary winding of the transformer.

Abstract: Described is a system for determining crop residue fraction. The system includes a color video camera mounted on a mobile platform for generating a two-dimensional (2D) color video image of a scene in front or behind the mobile platform. In operation, the system separates the 2D color video image into three separate one-dimensional (1D) mixture signals for red, green, and blue channels. The three 1D mixture signals are then separated into pure 1D component signals using blind source separation. The 1D component signals are thresholded and converted to 2D binary, pixel-level abundance maps, which can then be integrated to allow the system to determine a total component fractional abundance of crop in the scene. Finally, the system can control a mobile platform, such as a harvesting machine, based on the total component fractional abundance of crop in the scene.

Abstract: A fiber optic telecommunications device includes an enclosure defining an interior. A first fiber optic adapter is provided at the enclosure. A spool is provided at an exterior of the enclosure. A fiber optic cable, which includes a first optical fiber, is wrapped around the spool. A first fiber optic connector is mounted at a first end of the first optical fiber. The first end of the first optical fiber is positioned within the interior of the enclosure. The first fiber optic connector is inserted within the first fiber optic adapter. The enclosure and the spool are configured to rotate in unison about a common axis when the fiber optic cable is unwound from the spool.

Abstract: A system for vibration-driven sensing may include a wearable dimensioned to be donned by a user of an artificial reality system. The system may also include a vibration sensor that is incorporated into the wearable and generates an electrical response that corresponds to a vibration detected at the wearable. The system may further include at least one processing device communicatively coupled to the vibration sensor. The processing device may determine, based at least in part on the electrical response generated by the vibration sensor, that the user has made a specific gesture with at least one body part. In response to this determination, the processing device may generate an input command for the artificial reality system based at least in part on the specific gesture made by the user. Various other systems and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: In implementations of the subject matter described herein, an action detection scheme using a recurrent neural network (RNN) is proposed. Representation information of an incoming frame of a video and a predefined action label for the frame are obtained to train a learning network including RNN elements and a classification element. The representation information represents an observed entity in the frame. Specifically, parameters for the RNN elements are determined based on the representation information and the predefined action label. With the determined parameters, the RNN elements are caused to extract features for the frame based on the representation information and features for a preceding frame. Parameters for the classification element are determined based on the extracted features and the predefined action label. The classification element with the determined parameters generates a probability of the frame being associated with the predefined action label.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining the frequency of a cardiovascular pulse based on a first physiological signal that is continuously available and a second physiological signal that is less available and that is more accurate or otherwise improved relative to the first signal with respect to pulse rate estimation. When the second signal is available it controls the determination of the pulse rate. When the second signal is unavailable, the first signal is used to determine the pulse rate. This can include using the first signal to estimate the pulse rate until the second signal is available, at which point the pulse rate is estimated based on the second physiological signal. Alternatively, the first signal could be used to determine a number of candidate pulse rates, and the second signal could be used to select a pulse rate from the set of candidate pulse rates.

Abstract: An improved solids interceptor and methods of using the same. The solids interceptor includes a tank having an inlet and at least one outlet, and an access opening on an upper end of the tank. A perforated basket is removably received within the tank via the access opening. When the basket is installed within the tank, wastewater entering the tank via the inlet flows into the basket, with the solid waste being collected in the basket and the liquid waste flowing out of the basket via the perforated screen. The basket and tank include an interlocking flange assembly that automatically axially aligns a basket inlet with an inlet pipe simply by inserting the basket into the tank. The basket is removable from the tank to easily clean out and discard solid waste accumulated in the basket.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, in response to a search query received from a client, a search is performed in a content database to identify a list of one or more content items based on one or more keywords of the search query. A first search is performed in an image store to identify a first set of one or more images using a first image searching method. A second search is performed in the image store to identify a second set of one or more images using a second image searching method that is different than the first image searching method. A search result is transmitted to the client, the search result having at least a portion of the content items to the client. Each content item is associated with one of the images selected from the first set of images or the second set of images.
