  • Patent number: 10782534
Abstract: A Near-Eye-Display (NED) device having a housing shell that is integrated with molded boss clusters for precision mounting of hardware components. The techniques disclosed herein include forming a housing shell directly over one or more pre-molded boss clusters that have been inserted into cavities of a housing shell mold core. For example, with the pre-molded boss clusters already inserted into the cavities, a selected housing shell material such as a thermosetting epoxy resin impregnated carbon fiber reinforced (CFRP) fabric may be thermal compression molded over the housing shell mold core. Individual ones of the pre-molded boss clusters include one or more “three-dimensional (3D)” bosses for mounting various hardware components of the NED device. The bosses may protrude from an inner surface of the housing shell and may provide interior mounting features without affecting the appearance of the outer surface of the housing shell.

  • Patent number: 10783411
Abstract: Computing devices and methods for associating a semantic identifier with an object are disclosed. In one example, a three-dimensional model of an environment comprising the object is generated. Image data of the environment is sent to a user computing device for display by the user computing device. User input comprising position data of the object and the semantic identifier is received. The position data is mapped to a three-dimensional location in the three-dimensional model at which the object is located. Based at least on mapping the position data to the three-dimensional location of the object, the semantic identifier is associated with the object.

  • Patent number: 10783439
Abstract: A framework and interface for invoking and assimilating external algorithms and interacting with said algorithms in-session and real-time are described herein. An example embodiment also includes reproducible, updatable nodes that can be leveraged for data-driven analysis whereby the data itself can direct the algorithm choice, variables, and presentation leading to iteration and optimization in an analysis workflow. With example embodiments, an entire discovery or diagnosis process may be executed on a particular data set, thereby divorcing the discovery or diagnosis process from a specific data set such that the same discovery or diagnosis process, phenotype identification, and visualizations may be repeated on future experiments, published, validated, or shared with another investigator.

  • Patent number: 10784988
Abstract: Techniques are described for performing conditional forward error correction (FEC) of network data. The techniques and solutions can be applied to suppress the transmission of redundant forward error correction information for data (e.g., frames of audio and/or video data) that can be effectively recovered at the receiving device (e.g., at the decoder). For example, a first computing device that is encoding and transmitting data (e.g., encoded audio data) to a second computing device can determine whether portions of data can be predicted (e.g., to a certain quality measure) at the second computing device. If the portions of data can be predicted, then the first computing device can skip sending redundant copies of the portions of data (e.g., can skip sending forward error correction information) in current network packets.
