Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to selective gesture recognition for handheld device gestures. An example method includes receiving, by a handheld interactive object, movement information descriptive of a gesture performed with the handheld interactive object. The method includes selecting a local and/or remote machine-learned model for processing the movement information. The movement information can be processed to identify a gesture action corresponding to the movement information. The local and/or remote machine-learned model can be selected based on user input data and/or a complexity of the movement information. In response to selecting the local machine-learned model, the method includes processing the movement information according to the local machine-learned model and communicating a message to a remote device based on the result.
Abstract: Decoding random forest problem solving through node labeling and subtree distributions. Random forests, like any other type of machine learning algorithm, are designed and configured to solve classification, regression, and/or prediction problems. Solutions (or outputs) provided by random forests, given inputs in the form of values for a set of features, may sometimes be inaccurate, unexpected, or undesirable. Understanding or decoding how a random forest solves a given problem may be a way to correct or improve the random forest. The disclosed method, accordingly, proposes decoding random forest problem solving through the identification of subtrees (by way of node labeling) amongst a random forest, as well as the frequencies that these subtrees appear (or distributions thereof) throughout the random forest.

Abstract: Devices, systems, methods, and non-transitory media facilitate image rejection for a radio frequency signal with a wideband carrier. Wideband signals from a device may be analyzed, the wideband signals corresponding to a wideband channel. Each wideband signal may correspond to a sinusoidal electrical signal with IQ amplitude and phase modulation. An in-phase component (I) of a wideband signal may be determined. A quadrature component (Q) of the wideband signal may be determined. Based on the determined I and Q, a wideband IQ imbalance may be determined. A scalar error based on the wideband IQ imbalance may be obtained. The scalar error may be mapped to a vector error plane. Orthogonal error vector points that are based on the mapping may be determined. The wideband IQ imbalance of the device may be compensated based on adjusting an IQ setting of the device with the orthogonal error vector points.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a syndesmosis treatment construct configured to be placed into a cinched configuration that presses a first bone against a second bone. The syndesmosis treatment construct comprises a proximal fixator to contact the first bone and a distal fixator to contact the second bone. A first suture and a second suture are parallelly looped through the proximal fixator and oppositely looped through the distal fixator. Distal ends of the first and second sutures are fixated within a washer disposed between the proximal fixator and the first bone. Proximal ends of the first and second sutures are passed through openings in the washer and through the proximal fixator. Pulling of the proximal ends by a practitioner places the syndesmosis treatment construct into a cinched configuration. Any of various suitable suture knots may be formed so as to fixate the cinched configuration.

Abstract: A high-capacity pump fabricated with improved motor cooling and corrosion resistant components and powered by a variable-speed brushless DC motor suitable for use with a wide variety of applications. A brushless 12V DC motor is controlled by a manual and wireless variable speed control means to provide unparalleled flow control. The motor is contained within the housing in a sealed cavity in the housing, wherein the cavity is filled with mineral oil which maximizes heat transfer to facilitate motor cooling. A PVC impeller is contained within a PVC section of the housing thereby creating a corrosion resistant impeller section. The pump of the present invention has achieved improved performance over known pumps and is capable of delivering 4,500 gallons per hour (GPH) at 6 feet of head pressure, while only drawing 30 amps at 12 Volts DC. Wireless remote control of the pump is achieved via a wireless enabled device.
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for injecting in-process agents into processes executing self-contained, statically linked binaries that do not interact with a dynamic loader mechanism that identifies and resolves required libraries at run time. System calls directed to the execution of binaries in processes are intercepted and the targeted binary is analyzed to determine whether it is statically linked. In case a statically linked binary is identified, a proxy launcher process is started instead of the binary which starts the original binary as traceable child process. After the child process has loaded the original binary into its process memory, the memory image of the child process is copied to the launcher process and the child process is terminated. An agent is loaded into the launcher process to instruments the copied memory image.
