  • Patent number: 12141049
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for injecting in-process agents into processes executing self-contained, statically linked binaries that do not interact with a dynamic loader mechanism that identifies and resolves required libraries at run time. System calls directed to the execution of binaries in processes are intercepted and the targeted binary is analyzed to determine whether it is statically linked. In case a statically linked binary is identified, a proxy launcher process is started instead of the binary which starts the original binary as traceable child process. After the child process has loaded the original binary into its process memory, the memory image of the child process is copied to the launcher process and the child process is terminated. An agent is loaded into the launcher process to instruments the copied memory image.

  • Patent number: 12141299
Abstract: A secure data parser is provided that may be integrated into any suitable system for securely storing and communicating data. The secure data parser parses data and then splits the data into multiple portions that are stored or communicated distinctly. Encryption of the original data, the portions of data, or both may be employed for additional security. The secure data parser may be used to protect data in motion by splitting original data into portions of data, that may be communicated using multiple communications paths.

  • Patent number: 12142749
Abstract: A heat-activated pump regulates the temperature of a battery or motor. For a battery, an evaporator has fluid passageways arranged in a serpentine path or multiple parallel paths, in direct contact with battery cells. For a motor, the passageways wrap around its casing or within. Working fluid in the passageways is converted to vapor. Whenever a target pressure is exceeded, a pressure-control valve allows vaporized working fluid to escape into a liquid-piston chamber, where it expands adiabatically and displaces pumped liquid, expelling it in a pumping stage from the liquid-piston chamber through a check valve into a condenser. Another check valve allows the pumped liquid to return in a suction stage to the chamber. An injector valve between the liquid-piston chamber and the evaporator returns jets of condensed working fluid to the evaporator in successive brief spurts responsive to periodic pressure pulses in the liquid-piston chamber.

  • Patent number: 12143427
Abstract: A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message containing a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer for a communications session is sent to a first endpoint. The SDP offer includes a first parameter indicating whether the communications session will include media encoding TTY data, audio data, or both TTY data and audio data. An error response is received that indicates the device has rejected the first parameter. Based on the error response to the first endpoint, a modified SIP message containing the SDP offer for the communications session is sent to the first endpoint. The SDP offer of the modified message excludes the first parameter indicating whether the communications session will include media encoding TTY data, audio data, or both TTY data and audio data.

  • Patent number: 12143506
Abstract: Technology is shown for establishing a chain of trust for an unknown root certificate in an isolated network that is verified using a chain of trust external to the network. A bootstrap executable and a leaf certificate rooted in the external chain of trust are configured with an OID. The leaf certificate is received in the isolated network and used to sign a new root certificate created in the isolated network to create a blob that is stored in a pre-determined location. The bootstrap executable is executed to instantiate a client machine, which retrieves the blob and verifies its signature using the leaf certificate. The client machine verifies that the OID values from the blob and bootstrap executable match. If the signature and OID checks are successful, then the new root certificate is distributed within the isolated network and installed in a PKI certificate chain of trust.

  • Patent number: 12139661
Abstract: In a well in a subterranean formation, treatment fluids for time-released iron control are utilized. These treatment fluids contain a time-released form of a complexing agent or reducing agent, wherein the agent forms a soluble product with iron. The time-released form prevents loss of the agent prior to delivery to the desired site and at the desired time(s). Methods for controlling iron in a well in a subterranean formation utilize these treatment fluids containing a time-released form of a complexing agent or reducing agent and these methods create soluble products when the agent interacts with the iron to control the iron from the formation and/or well.

  • Patent number: 12139215
Abstract: Aspects of the technology involve controlling a vehicle configured to operate in an autonomous driving mode. This includes receiving a set of environmental inputs including temperature information from different temperature sources, receiving initial steering information from a steering system of the vehicle, and obtaining an initial rack position command by a motion control module of the vehicle. The system determines, based on the environmental inputs, the initial steering information and an initial rack position, a likelihood that a steering actuator of the steering system of the vehicle is blocked or likely to become blocked. The system determines whether a threshold excitation amount has been applied to the steering system within a selected amount of time or a selected driving distance. When the threshold amount of excitation is not met, an excitation profile is applied to the steering system in order to modify the initial rack position.
