  • Patent number: 10605017
Abstract: A standing valve puller is provided. The standing valve puller is configured to latch onto an engagement pin when the engagement pin is run into the standing valve puller within a wellbore, downhole. The standing valve puller generally includes a tubular housing having an upper end and a lower end. The upper end comprises a pair of pivoting arms dimensioned to receive the engagement pin, while the lower end offers a threaded connector that connects to a standing valve. When the engagement pin is lowered through a through-opening preserved within the arms, the arms pivot to latch onto the engagement pin. When the engagement pin is lowered again, the arms pivot away from the engagement pin, providing a “latch and release” cycle. A method of unseating a standing valve from a seating nipple in a wellbore is also provided herein.

  • Patent number: 10609537
Abstract: A host device, such as a laptop or desktop computer, that supports wireless point-to-point connections with a peripheral device, such as a pair of headphones, mouse, etc., is configured with a proximity platform with which services register to execute particular filters or scenarios upon the host device connecting or attempting to connect with a peripheral device. For example, an advertisement packet transmitted from the peripheral device using Bluetooth may be customized with a particular pattern that corresponds to one or more registered patterns from the registered services, thereby causing the proximity platform to perform particular functions. Peripheral devices can thereby customize their products so that a host computer automatically performs a function upon receiving an advertisement from the peripheral device, such as surface a notification on a user interface of the host device or track the peripheral device's location.

  • Patent number: 10603235
Abstract: A patient repositioning system for pulling a patient toward a head end of a bed includes a sheet, a mattress, and a housing which contains at least a part of a drive mechanism for operatively coupling to and pulling the sheet. The housing resides below a head end piece of the mattress, and is secured to the bed deck. The sheet pulling structure extends out of the housing via a slot and releasably attaches to the sheet, in a manner which has a low profile so as to pass through the slot. The sheet is longer than and wider than the mattress, and has beaded longitudinal side edges which are retained within rows of spaced retainers located on opposite sides of the mattress. During pulling of the sheet, the contoured shape of the housing facilitates movement of the sheet into the housing via the slot, even though the sheet width extends beyond the lateral edges of the mattress.
