Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for creating a data volume from within a software container and initializing the data volume with data may include (i) running, from a volume creation container image, a volume creation container that isolates user space of the volume creation container from other processes while sharing kernel space with the other processes, (ii) creating a new data volume from within the volume creation container, and (iii) executing, from within the volume creation container, a run command to run a data initialization container from the volume creation container image and mount the new data volume to a target mount point in the data initialization container, the data initialization container executing a data initialization command to copy data to the new data volume. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
Abstract: A media management framework comprises an integrated architecture and online networking service for aggregating a user's various media files to enable a customized distribution of those media files. User media files are processed, archived, aggregated, and distributed for display in customized story streams. Additional media files are pulled from other sources, such as social media feeds and the public domain, to create a customized distribution and a comprehensive user experience centered on a user's media files based on specified user preferences. The customized distribution also includes modifying story streams based on learning of additional user preferences from continued user interaction and continuously grouping inference associations from one or more of activities, people, objects, times, dates, and locations.

Abstract: A system for storing, interpreting, displaying, and processing heterogeneous data comprises a common data layer configured to manage and store abstracted data using a standard relational database, the common data layer comprises a template repository storing a plurality of data-logic templates and user data. The system further includes a data abstraction layer comprising rules for processing user data and handling a user-interface, an intelligence layer comprises context sensitive processing logic of user inputs and data from the data abstraction layer according to the data-logic templates, and a user interface layer configured to present the processed data and capture user inputs for the system.
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for determining data available for transmission. One method includes associating a packet data convergence protocol entity with a first radio link control entity and a second radio link control entity belonging to two different cell groups. The method includes determining an amount of data available for transmission, the amount of data available for transmission including packet data convergence protocol data and radio link control data pending for initial transmission in the first radio link control entity and the second radio link control entity. The method includes comparing the amount of data available for transmission with a threshold. The method includes submitting the packet data convergence protocol data to a first radio link control entity in response to the amount of data available for transmission being below the threshold.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide swallowable devices, preparations and methods for delivering drugs and other therapeutic agents within the GI tract. Some embodiments provide a swallowable device such as a capsule for delivering drugs into the intestinal wall or other GI lumen. The device comprises a capsule sized to be swallowed and pass through the intestinal tract. The capsule can include at least one guide tube, one or more tissue penetrating members positioned in the guide tube, a delivery member, an actuating mechanism and a release element. The release element degrades upon exposure to various conditions in the intestine so as to release and actuate the actuating mechanism. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful for the delivery of drugs which are poorly absorbed, tolerated and/or degraded within the GI tract.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are antibodies specific for erythroferrone and assays comprising the antibodies. Also disclosed are methods for using the assays for the diagnosis or monitoring of disease.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a ransomware detection component or an anti-ransomware application that detects, stops, and removes ransomware from a computing system. In one embodiment, the anti-ransomware application may prevent new ransomware from infecting one or more components of the system or remove or disable existing ransomware that is already present on the system.
Abstract: Certain aspects of the subject matter described here can be implemented in a downhole-type electric submersible pump system. An electric machine can be disposed downhole in a wellbore. The electric machine is coupled to rotate with an impeller that can be disposed downhole in the wellbore. The electric machine includes a stator assembly with at least three stator sections axially arranged and spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the electric machine. The electric machine also includes a rotor assembly with at least three rotor sections arranged axially along the longitudinal axis of the electric machine. The rotor assembly is carried within and supported to rotate by the stator assembly.

Abstract: A composition for making a cast, thermoformable sheet or slab, comprising: a syrup comprising: about 30-40% SSI—acrylic pre-polymerized syrup by weight at 20% solids; about 30-40% MMA—methyl methacrylate by weight; about 2-3% BA—Butyl acrylate by weight; about 1-15% by weight acrylic chips; and about 1-15% by weight rigid particles with a mean diameter of about 0.5-2000 ?m. The rigid particles may preferably comprise a polymeric material such as poly allyl diglycol carbonate particles. A method for producing a thermoformed article having a textured surface comprising mixing the syrup as above; swelling the acrylic chips; degassing the syrup; heating the syrup; casting the syrup into a sheet; and thermoforming the cast sheet against a mold.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for autonomous vehicle scheduling are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving, at a first processor, a first request for a vehicle to travel to a location. The first request is to be transmitted to the first processor from a second processor. The example method includes calculating an arrival time of the vehicle based on the first request. The example includes comparing the first request to a second request for the vehicle based on the arrival time. The example method includes scheduling the first request based on the comparison and directing the vehicle to the location based on the schedule.
Abstract: A cleaning tool for use in abrading a surface for cleaning the surface includes a resiliently deformable backing member insert, and a chain mail abrader enclosure comprising a chain mail body having a plurality of interlinked rings. The chain mail abrader enclosure is configured to allow for insertion and removal of the resiliently deformable backing member insert. The resiliently deformable backing member is disposable within the chain mail abrader enclosure such that the backing member is positioned against the chain mail body to allow the chain mail body to conform to contours of the surface during abrading.
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and techniques for planning travel of an autonomous robot. A system identifies one or more obstacles that are located in proximity of at least a portion of a planned route for the autonomous robot. For each obstacle, the system: (i) determines a semantic class of the obstacle, including selecting the semantic class from a library that defines a set of multiple possible semantic classes for obstacles, and (ii) selects a planning policy for the obstacle that corresponds to the semantic class of the obstacle. The system can generate a trajectory along the at least the portion of the planned route using the selected planning policies. The robot can then initiate travel according to the trajectory.
