Abstract: Use of a non-volatile memory array architecture to realize a neural network (BNN) allows for matrix multiplication and accumulation to be performed within the memory array. A unit synapse for storing a weight of a neural network is formed by a differential memory cell of two individual memory cells, such as a memory cells having a programmable resistance, each connected between a corresponding one of a word line pair and a shared bit line. An input is applied as a pattern of voltage values on word line pairs connected to the unit synapses to perform the multiplication of the input with the weight by determining a voltage level on the shared bit line. The results of such multiplications are determined by a sense amplifier, with the results accumulated by a summation circuit. The approach can be extended from binary weights to multi-bit weight values by use of multiple differential memory cells for a weight.

Abstract: A method of controlling a vehicle park system in a shift out of park includes receiving a shift out of park request, and commanding a park actuator to rotate an actuator shaft operatively connected to a park pawl movable from an engaged position in which the park pawl is engaged with a park gear, to a disengaged position in which the park pawl is disengaged from the park gear. The method includes determining whether a detent lever operatively connected to the park pawl has moved towards an out of park position within a predetermined period of time after commanding the park actuator to rotate the actuator shaft, and then commanding an electric propulsion motor to apply torque to the transmission output shaft to assist the park actuator if the detent lever has not moved towards the out of park position within the predetermined period of time.

Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to refining virtual mesh models through physical contacts. For example, a hand-mounted mobile device, such as a wearable glove, may be used to create and/or emphasize specific points within a virtual mesh model of a physical environment. An indication of physical contact of an interface of the mobile device with a physical object may be obtained via a touch sensor of the mobile device. A location and/or an orientation of the interface of the mobile device during the physical contact with the physical object may be identified based on sensor data obtained from one or more positioning sensors. Location data indicating the location may be stored in a data storage device from which the location data may be referenced. In an example, refinement of a virtual mesh model of a physical environment containing the physical object may be prioritized based on the location data.

Abstract: A method of robotic collaboration comprises designating a first robot a lead robot and assigning a first task in a task area to the lead robot. Broadcasting a work query in the task area seeks the presence of subordinate robots configured to perform tasks. Receiving a work confirmation signal from a subordinate robot in the task area answers the work query with an affirmation that the subordinate robot is in the task area to perform tasks. Transmitting a task command to the subordinate robot in response to the work confirmation signal comprises a directive to perform the first task. Receiving a task confirmation signal informs the lead robot of the subordinate robot electronic characteristics comprising processing capabilities, transmit signal profile, receive signal profile, and storage device capabilities. Processing confirms whether the subordinate robot can collaborate with the lead robot to do the first task.
