Abstract: Example embodiments of the present invention relate to methods, systems, and a computer program product for detecting and avoiding storage array performance degradation. The method includes anticipating an unpredictable performance state of a storage device in a storage array that degrades storage array functionality according to a performance profile for a storage device type of the storage device. In response, performance of the storage array may be adjusted to avoid the storage device entering the unpredictable performance state.

Abstract: In various embodiments, methods and systems for language scaling a natural language processing system (NLPS) are provided. A database schema of a database is accessed. The database schema includes entities that are defined in a query natural language different from an NLPS natural language upon which NLPS components are built. The entities are communicated to a machine translation service and top translations. A translated database schema model is generated based on the entities and translations. When a query associated with the query natural language and the database schema is received, a query translation is generated. The query translation comprises selectively translated portions of the query based on a selective translation mechanism that includes accessing the machine translation service to translate selected portions of the query. The selected portions are selected based on the translated database schema. The query translation is executed on the NLPS components to identify query results.

Abstract: An assembly method for first and second articles is disclosed. A first substrate with a plurality of first articles and a second substrate with a plurality of second articles are selected. The articles on the flexible substrate webs with different pitches are assembled together by displacing portions between the first articles of one web out of plane to move the first articles on that web to the same shorter pitch as the second articles on the other web, aligning the two webs to register corresponding first and second articles on the two webs, and assembling the corresponding articles together. The assembly may be used for example in the making of RFID tags, labels and inlays.

The one or more person(s) identified using the model may be the person(s), or member(s), of a social network determined to have a maximum capability, relative to other members of the social network, for influencing the members of the social network in adopting, e.g., purchasing, a product having the identified features. In addition, parameters of the model may be determined using information about the social network, user preferences, and the products and features of the products.

Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and apparatus for managing operations, for instance making orders and fulfilling orders, using one or more computing devices. In accordance with an example embodiment, an operations management system can include a self-order system, a self-payment system, and an order-fulfillment system. The self-order system, the self-payment system, and the order-fulfillment system can communicate with each other via a communication system that connects the systems, such as a wireless network for example. Using the operation management system, orders can be placed and fulfilled efficiently and with minimal personal interaction.

Abstract: A system for adjusting down pressure loads on a harrow of an agricultural implement may include a base hitch member and an upper tow arm pivotally coupled to the base hitch member. First and second linkage arms may pivotally couple to the upper tow arm. A lower support arm may pivotally couple to the first and second linkage arms. A plurality of ground engaging elements may be supported on the lower support arm. A tensioner assembly may include an actuator coupled between the base hitch member and the lower support arm. The actuator may include an actuator rod that extend and retract to adjust a relative distance between the base hitch member and the lower support arm. The actuator may regulate a down pressure applied on the plurality of ground engaging elements by adjusting the relative distance between the base hitch member and the lower support arm.

Abstract: This patent specification relates to methods and systems that can detect over cycling conditions that exist in an HVAC system. The over cycling condition can be caused by overheating of a forced air heating system or furnace of the HVAC system control. When the furnace overheats, a thermally actuated limit switch within the furnace may cut off power to a heat generation apparatus. The limit switch can reconnect the power to the heat generation apparatus after it has cooled down, at which point the thermostat control system may issue another heating call to continue heating the enclosure so that it reaches the desired temperature. If the overheat condition persist, then the thermally actuated switch will cut power, resulting in repeated power cycling. The detection system and methods can monitor these power loss events and use them as data points for determining whether an alert condition exists within the HVAC system.

Abstract: The examples relate to various implementations to enable simultaneous controllable lighting distribution and a wide angle image light output from areas of a luminaire. An example of such a luminaire includes image light emitters and an array of general illumination light emitters for general illumination. A grid structure that has a supporting grid of rows and columns with intersection points and transparent sections or gaps is used to maintain a spaced arrangement of the general illumination light emitters and the image light emitters. Each of the transparent sections is bounded by individual structural members of the grid meeting at individual intersection points. In a specific example, image light emitters are located at intersection points of the grid structure. The general illumination light emitters are optically coupled for emitting general illumination light through the transparent sections of the grid.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to a rapid adjust buckle for a rifle sling. The buckle can include a main buckle portion with a pair of side portions and a handle portion extending between the pair of side portions and over the main buckle portion to define a handle aperture. In various embodiments the handle portion and the main buckle portion are a unitary piece composed of a polymer material with the handle portion being flexibly biased towards an uncompressed open shape such that the handle portion is configured to compress against the main buckle portion in response to a compressing force but return to the uncompressed open shape when the compressing force is relieved. In one or more embodiments the handle portion includes a plurality of jointed connection points configured to flatten the profile of the handle portion when the handle portion is exposed to the compressing force.

One example system includes a plurality of beacon devices, a plurality of mobile computing devices, a fleet management system, and a fleet owner computing devices. One example method includes receiving, by the fleet management system, a device status request from the fleet owner computing device. The fleet management system determines one or more operational statuses of beacon devices owned by the fleet owner and transmits data indicative of the one or more operational statuses to the fleet owner computing device. The operational statuses can include a current detection status (e.g., online or offline), a location status, a power source status, and/or other operational parameters.

Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe low latency pre-web classification of query data. In examples, processing is performed where query data may be analyzed in a low latency manner that includes providing a vertical intent classification and entity identification for query data before a web ranking service processes the query data. Query data may be received. A vertical intent classification index may be searched using the query data. In examples, the vertical intent classification index may comprise a set of files that can be used to determine one or more candidate entity identifiers for the query data. The one or more entity identifiers may be ranked. The query data, a vertical intent classification for the vertical intent classification index and the one or more ranked candidate entity identifiers may be transmitted for processing associated with a web ranking service. Abstract: This disclosure provides a wagering system associated with a first wagering facility, the system communicably coupled with a network and including a memory operable to store betting odds on a plurality of wagering events hosted by the first wagering facility. The system further includes a processor coupled to the memory and operable to receive a first bet on a particular event via the network, the particular event comprising at least one of the wagering events hosted by the first wagering facility. If a second bet is received within a predetermined period of time after the first bet is received, then the processor recalculates the betting odds on the particular event based upon both of the first bet and the second bet. If a second bet is not received within a predetermined period of time after the first bet is received, then the processor recalculates the betting odds on the particular event based upon the first bet.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for online content sharing are provided. A computer-implemented method may include receiving an identifier of a video hosted by a content hosting platform from an external platform, the video being requested by a first user of the external platform, the first user having a first user account with the external platform. The method may also include determining that the video identifier comprises an attribution tag, and determining that the video was previously shared with the first user by a second user via the content hosting platform by analyzing the attribution tag, the second user having a second user account with the content hosting platform. The method may further include storing a record of the second user's sharing of the video with the first user in a data store of the content hosting platform.

Abstract: A remote control device may be configured to be mounted over the toggle actuator of a light switch and to control a load control device. The remote control device may include a mounting assembly and a control unit that is removably attachable to the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may include a release tab that is configured to be operated from a locking position in which the control unit is secured to the mounting assembly, to a release position in which the control unit may be detached from the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may include a clamp that is configured to engage with the toggle actuator of a mechanical switch to which the remote control device is mounted.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and medicaments that include oxaliplatin are provided for use in the treatment of bladder cancer by locally administering oxaliplatin into the bladder of a patient to achieve a sustained concentration of oxaliplatin in urine in the bladder sufficient to produce a therapeutic concentration of oxaliplatin in bladder tissue. The oxaliplatin may be delivered into the bladder from an intravesical drug delivery device inserted into the bladder, wherein the device continuously releases the oxaliplatin into the urine in the bladder over an extended period of hours or days.

Abstract: A computer has a secondary storage device with a filesystem for persistent storage of application data, the filesystem having filesystem objects including files, directories, and group objects such as consistency groups. The group objects specify respective groups of the filesystem objects on which certain filesystem group operations act as a unit. The filesystem also has filesystem routines for performing filesystem operations including single-object operations and group operations. A single-object operation acts upon a specified user file or directory independently (e.g., opening or reading from a file), while a group operation acts upon a respective set of filesystem objects grouped together by a specified group object.
