Abstract: An article of chained jewelry may include a pod unit fitting into the body of each pod unit, both stacking up vertically and horizontally. Each pod unit is provided be so that the body of each pod unit is designed to have a protrusion extending out on one side, and an opening on the opposite side of body along an axis. In operation, when one pod unit is place next to another, the protrusion extending from the body mates or connects into the opening of the adjacent pod unit, to form a chain of pod units.
Abstract: A system for blocking fast flow paths in geological formations includes preparing a solution of colloidal silica having a nonviscous phase and a solid gel phase. The solution of colloidal silica is injected into the geological formations while the solution of colloidal silica is in the nonviscous phase. The solution of colloidal silica is directed into the fast flow paths and reaches the solid gel phase in the fast flow paths thereby blocking flow of fluid in the fast paths.

Abstract: An apparatus for creating haptic stimulations is provided. The apparatus includes pod(s) coupled to a garment, each pod including: (i) an internal structure including an arrangement of a plurality of protrusions and (ii) an airtight bladder surrounding the internal structure, wherein the bladder is pneumatically coupled to a pneumatic device that is configured to control a pressurized state of the bladder. The internal structure in each pod is configured to: (i) when the respective bladder of the respective pod is in a first pressurized state, have a first degree of flexibility; and (ii) when the respective bladder is in a second pressurized state different from the first pressurized state: curve, at least partially, in a predetermined direction, and have a second degree of flexibility less than the first degree of flexibility, thereby providing a haptic stimulation to a wearer when the respective bladder is in the second pressurized state.

Abstract: A method of making a plastic tank suitable for containing water comprises forming a tank base which is partially or fully lined with a plastic layer that is different in character or color from the plastic material of the substrate of the tank base. The tank is alternatively formed by injection molding substrate material around the core of a mold which is partially or fully covered by the liner material, and by injecting liner material into the mold to bond it to the tank base substrate in conjunction with retracting part or all of the core, to provide space in the mold for the liner material.

Abstract: Elevation mechanisms for table saws and anti-backdrive mechanisms for use in elevation mechanisms for table saws are disclosed. The anti-backdrive mechanisms typically include three sub-assemblies: an input assembly, an output assembly, and a fixed assembly. The anti-backdrive mechanisms prevent a torque related to the output assembly from changing the blade elevation. For example, the weight of the blade and the structure supporting the blade is prevented from backdriving the elevation mechanism and allowing the blade to drop.

Abstract: A shaving razor with a handle and a housing, the housing dimensioned to receive at least one blade. The housing has a pair of spaced apart opposing parallel walls each defining a fully enclosed opening that extends completely through the respective walls. The handle includes a pair of semi-circular pin members that are disposed in the openings to mount the housing to the handle while allowing rinse water to travel through the openings to access the at least one blade.

Abstract: A code generator platform may receive source metadata and a target data model. The code generator platform may determine a parameter, of the target data model, that is associated with the attribute. The code generator platform may map, based on the attribute and the source metadata, the data to the parameter of the target data model. The code generator platform may generate, based on mapping the data to the parameter, data transformation code associated with the data and the target data model, wherein the data transformation code, when executed, generates target data that corresponds to the data according to the target data model. The code generator platform may perform an action associated with the data transformation code to permit the data transformation code to be executed in order to update a target database with the target data.
Abstract: In some implementations, a system may include a camera, a display, one or more memories, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories. The system may identify a horizontal plane in an image being captured by the camera and presented on the display, may determine a size of the horizontal plane, and may determine that the size of the horizontal plane satisfies a threshold. The system may designate the horizontal plane as a ground plane based on determining that the size of the horizontal plane satisfies the threshold. The system may output an indication that the horizontal plane has been designated as the ground plane.

Abstract: The system generally includes a crosspoint switch in the local data collection system having multiple inputs and multiple outputs including a first input connected to the first sensor and a second input connected to the second sensor. The multiple outputs include a first output and a second output configured to be switchable between a condition in which the first output is configured to switch between delivery of the first sensor signal and the second sensor signal and a condition in which there is simultaneous delivery of the first sensor signal from the first output and the second sensor signal from the second output. Each of multiple inputs is configured to be individually assigned to any of the multiple outputs. Unassigned outputs are configured to be switched off producing a high-impedance state. The crosspoint switch includes a third input that is configured with a continuously monitored alarm having a pre-determined trigger condition when the third input is unassigned to any of the multiple outputs.

Abstract: A system including a container having a door pivotably coupled to the container that is movable between a first position and a second position. A locking assembly is coupled with the container and includes a first shaft and a second shaft generally parallel with and spaced apart from the first shaft, and an over center linkage extending between a respective first pivotal connection between the over center linkage and the first shaft and a respective second pivotal connection between the over center linkage and the second shaft. Further, the locking assembly includes at least one latch coupled with the second shaft and movable between an unlatched position and a latched position. The over center linkage is movable, when the door is at the second position, over center to a state at which the latch is in the latched position and the door is biased toward the second position.

Abstract: A linear actuator system includes a linear actuator and at least one proportional control valve and at least one pump connected to the linear actuator to provide fluid to operate the linear actuator. The at least one pump includes at least one fluid driver having a prime mover and a fluid displacement assembly to be driven by the prime mover such that fluid is transferred from the pump inlet to the pump outlet. The linear actuator system also includes a controller that establishes at least one of a speed and a torque of the at least one prime mover and concurrently establishes an opening of the at least one proportional control valve to adjust at least one of a flow and a pressure in the linear actuator system to an operational set point.
Abstract: Systems and methods provided for testing remote frequency identification (RFID) straps on a web. Testing system includes a test head having a pair of contact pins configured to be moved toward the web (or configured to make contact with web moved towards them) and into contact with the web or RFID strap. Conveyor continuously moves the web to move individual RFID straps into and out of alignment with the test head. Controller causes the contact pins to move toward the web at a frequency that's greater than the frequency at which the conveyor moves consecutive RFID straps into alignment with the test head. Alternatively or additionally, the test head may have a mount formed of a compliant material that allows at least a portion of the test head to deflect while the contact pins are in contact with a continuously moving RFID strap, thereby maintaining contact between contact pins and strap.
