Abstract: A method for eyes-off training of a dictation system includes translating an audio signal featuring speech audio of a speaker into an initial recognized text using a previously-trained general language model. The initial recognized text is provided to the speaker for error correction. The audio signal is re-translated into an updated recognized text using a specialized language model biased to recognize words included in the corrected text. The general language model is retrained in an “eyes-off” manner, based on the audio signal and the updated recognized text.

Abstract: An apparatus receives an upper layer packet that includes data from a source device, a virtual private network (VPN) identification, a destination address, and a destination option type. The apparatus authenticates the upper layer packet by comparing the VPN identification of the received upper layer packet to a customer VPN identification. The apparatus determines whether the apparatus recognizes the destination option type of the upper layer packet. The apparatus discards the upper layer packet on a condition that the apparatus does not recognize the destination option type. The apparatus decapsulates the upper layer packet into a lower layer packet and transmits the decapsulated packet to a destination on a condition that the apparatus recognizes the destination option type.

A rule set may be generated for each security appliance that includes (i) a first set of rules based on known attacks, identified as rules for mandatory inclusion in the rule set; and (ii) a subset of the second set of rules, identified as rules for potential inclusion in the rule set, selected randomly according to a distribution percentage, score, or weight for each potentially included rule. Higher scored rules, which may be more likely vectors for potential attack, may be distributed to a greater number of appliances; while lower scored rules that may be less likely or represent more speculative attacks may be distributed to fewer appliances.
