Abstract: An electronic connector assembly includes a first PCB including a first electrical circuit, and a connector member disposed on a first side of the first PCB and electrically connected to the first electrical circuit. The connector member has a connector body sized to fit within an opening defined by walls of an EMI shield frame. The electronic connector assembly further includes a permanent magnet disposed on a second side of the first PCB. The permanent magnet has a magnet body sized to cover the opening in the EMI shield frame of a receptacle assembly and to provide a magnetic attraction force between the permanent magnet and the EMI shield frame to press the first PCB against an opposing portion of the walls of the EMI shield frame and cause a grounded portion of the first side of the first PCB to make an electrical connection with the EMI shield frame.

A “tail” portion of the shield is eliminated by including a non-magnetic material adjacent to opposite sides of a middle portion of the sensor stack.

Abstract: A system includes a memory storing last-used frequency settings and protocol settings, and a processor of a telematics controller of a vehicle. The processor is programmed to, responsive to the vehicle being powered from a parked state, set a period during which the vehicle attempts to reconnect per the last-used frequency settings and protocol settings without performing a full scan via a modem; and perform a full scan via the modem responsive to expiration of the period.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automating user input using onscreen content. For example, a method includes receiving a selection of a first screen capture image representing a screen captured on a mobile device associated with a user, the first image having a first timestamp. The method also includes determining, using a data store of images of previously captured screens of the mobile device, a reference image from the data store that has a timestamp prior to the first timestamp, identifying a plurality of images in the data store that have respective timestamps between the timestamp for the reference image and the first timestamp, and providing the reference image, the plurality of images, and the first image to the mobile device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a method for discovering unique entities over multiple devices. A virtual pool of entities is created and divided into subpools, each including fewer than all entities. Subpools are subdivided into delta pools. Cookies are recorded for each delta pool when the particular portion of content is presented to or accessed by entities in the delta pool. Recorded cookies are divided into cookie types based on cookie characteristics. Machine learning and statistical analysis algorithms are used to automatically determine sizes of delta pools and probabilities of each cookie type being classified as belonging to particular delta pools. Virtual entities are assigned from the virtual pool to each of the recorded cookies that were recorded when the particular portion of content was presented. A number of unique entities that accessed the particular portion of content is determined.

Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to facilitate expedient shopping in a physical retail facility. In one embodiment, a shopping system directed to pre-filling shopping carts with retail items prior to a customer's arrival at the physical retail shopping facility includes a user database of user profiles having one or more partialities associated with customers, a product database of retail products with identified vectorized characterizations or product vectors, a plurality of physical shopping carts, and a control circuit. By one approach, the control circuit is configured to access the user database and the product database and identify suggested retail items for a particular customer based, in part, on comparisons between the identified partialities and the identified vectorized product characterizations of the retail products.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for categorization of vehicle loading and display thereof. An example apparatus includes a vehicle load condition manager programmed to categorize a first load data and second load data associated with a vehicle, compare a summation of the first and second load data to a threshold, and generate an alert for display via a user interface when the summation of the first and second load data exceeds the threshold.

Abstract: A method of using a seating device including a base, a plurality of roller mechanisms, a seat operably associated with the base via the plurality of roller mechanisms for movement relative thereto, the seat including a leading edge in a direction of travel, comprises receiving a user's sitting area on the seat of the seating device with the seat in a position centered over the base; and based on user input the seat moving toward the leading edge in the direction of travel away from the seat centered over the base while the user's muscles are engaged to maintain an upright posture, helping to improve the user's motor control, stability and strength over time.

Abstract: A method for maintaining a prepaid payment system comprises a user account that can be utilized to complete a purchase transaction with a merchant. A delayed processing window is introduced between a time when the merchant receives a payment approval notification from the payment system and a time when the payment system transmits a payment request to an issuer of a funding account associated with the user's payment system account. The payment system utilizes a user's stored value account maintained by the payment system to satisfy the requirements of a prepaid program, and therefore processes the payment request received from the merchant and transmits the payment approval notification without obtaining prior authorization from the issuer of the funding account. The payment system submits one or more payment requests for the funding transaction at a time after the completion of the purchase transaction between the user and the merchant.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a label holder for retaining an electronic product label and detachably coupling to a product container includes rear panel, a top panel and a bottom panel each movably attached to the rear panel and extending in a forward direction relative to the rear panel, and at least one container-gripping panel attached to the rear panel and extending from the rear panel. The rear panel, the top panel, and the bottom panel together define a channel therebetween configured to slidably receive and retain an electronic product label. The container-gripping panel includes a plurality of projections extending therefrom and configured to grip at least one wall of the product container to detachably couple the label holder to the product container. Methods of detachably attaching the label holder to the product container and methods of uncoupling the label holder from the product container are also described.

The edge seal is adapted to be attached around an edge of a merchandise box, the merchandise box having a first structural portion and a second structural portion that are connected to one another along the edge, such that a first portion of the edge seal is disposed against the first structural portion of the merchandise box and a second portion of the edge seal is disposed against the second structural portion of the merchandise box. The tag assembly interlocks with the edge seal and includes an electronics assembly, contained within a housing, that forms at least part of an alarm system. The electronics assembly may include an electronic article surveillance (EAS) tag.

Abstract: Different containers are used for different usage sessions, a container referring to a virtualization layer for a computing device and used for isolation as well as hardware resource partitioning. A usage session refers to the time span beginning when one or more users begin to use the computing device, and ending when the one or more users cease using the computing device. During a particular usage session that uses a container, all interaction with the computing device is maintained in the container. The container is deleted when the usage session ends, leaving no data from the usage session behind after the usage session ends. Additionally, some usage sessions need not be run in containers, so data generated during such usage sessions is maintained after usage session ends. The host operating system automatically determines which usage sessions to run in containers and which usage sessions to run separate from any containers.
