Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method and a hardware and software system for collecting data from retail point of sale. The hardware connects to a wide variety of barcode scanners and receipt printers. Collected data is transmitted to a cloud-based infrastructure backend system using a wireless internet connection built into the hardware. The collected data can be processed to extract item-level transaction information, and estimate the price and in-stock status of items in particular shops. A search engine can be provided using this data, which allows a customer to discover which nearby shop has an item of interest in stock. A targeted advertising system that complements this search service is also presented. The data can be used by retailers and manufacturers for business analysis and optimization.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for performing dynamic phase correction includes obtaining, at a processor, phase-contrast image data acquired by a photon-counting detector, wherein the photon-counting detector includes a plurality of subareas and each subarea includes a plurality of pixels configured to generate a measurable parameter in response to X-ray photons. The method also includes detecting, via the processor, motion within the phase-contrast image data within a sampling window for multiple subareas of the plurality of subareas. The method further includes estimating, via the processor, motion-correcting parameters for the detected motion within at least one subarea of the multiple subareas. The method still further includes generating, via the processor, a motion-corrected image based on the estimated motion-correcting parameters.
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that enable advanced gaming and virtual reality control using radar. These techniques enable small motions and displacements to be tracked, even in the millimeter or submillimeter scale, for user control actions even when those actions are optically occluded or obscured.
Abstract: A method of fabricating an extended release subcutaneous medicinal dosage implant system which includes an implant fabricated from a highly homogeneously mixed composition including a medicinal agent in combination with release controlling polymers which include poly (DL-lactide) and polycaprolactone. In one implementation for treating an opioid disease, the formulation composition includes naltrexone at 40 weight percent, poly (DL-lactide) in the approximate range between 36 and 46.4 weight percent, and polycaprolactone in the approximate range between 24 and 11.6 weight percent. In addition, in order to provide anti-biofouling quality and prevent foreign body adsorption/interaction with the material of the implant, polyethylene glycol is added in a preferred content of 2.0%. The manufacturing process includes hot melt extrusion and a mini jet based implant formation stage with the optimized process space were the temperature of the process ranges from 170° C.-180° C.

Abstract: The concepts described herein relate to a system, method, and/or apparatus for monitoring a NOx sensor that is arranged in an exhaust gas feedstream of an internal combustion engine downstream of an exhaust aftertreatment system to detect a fault related to the NOx sensor. This includes utilizing a catalyst efficiency model to detect occurrence of a fault that may indicate an in-range biased or stuck NOx sensor.

Abstract: A memory system having a processing device (e.g., CPU) and memory regions (e.g., in a DRAM device) on the same chip or die. The memory regions store data used by the processing device during machine learning processing (e.g., using a neural network). One or more controllers are coupled to the memory regions and configured to: read data from a first memory region (e.g., a first bank), including reading first data from the first memory region, where the first data is for use by the processing device in processing associated with machine learning; and write data to a second memory region (e.g., a second bank), including writing second data to the second memory region. The reading of the first data and writing of the second data are performed in parallel.
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to coding a multi-view signal, which includes processing a list of plurality of motion vector candidates associated with a coding block of a current picture in a dependent view of the multi-view signal Such processing includes estimating a first motion vector based on a second motion vector associated with a reference block in a current picture of a reference view of the multi-view signal, the reference block corresponding to the coding block of the current picture in the dependent view. The first motion vector is added into the list, and an index is used that specifies at least one candidate from the list to be used for motion-compensated prediction. The coding block in the current picture is coded by performing the motion-compensated prediction based on the at least one candidate indicated by the index.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosures disclose a method and a system to generate a path planning trajectory with a random lateral shift for an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV). In one embodiment, a system generates a reference line to navigate the ADV from a start location to a destination location. The system determines a lateral shift distance value to shift a lane center for the reference line. The system generates a shifted trajectory using the reference line based on the lateral shift distance value. The system controls the ADV based on the shifted trajectory to navigate the ADV.
Abstract: The present invention is to a self-propelled boat launch and methods of operating components of the boat launch a launch vehicle. The launch vehicle includes a partially submersible generally frame. The frame comprises a front frame unit and a modular carriage frame section, comprising at least one modular carnage frame. The boat launch is self-propelled with track assemblies driven by a hydraulic system powered by an engine assembly. The engine assembly is preferably mounted on top of the front frame unit. At least two track assemblies are in removable communication with a modular carriage frame. A track tensioner is provided for increased tension on a continuous track of the track assembly. A track cleaner is described for removal of foreign objects from at least one track assembly. Further, a method of operating the track tensioner is described. A method of operating the track cleaner is described.

Abstract: An archery release can include a release body, one or more calipers or jaws defining a bowstring notch, the jaws pivotally joined with a release body, and a trigger moveable between a hold mode to hold a bowstring and a release mode to release the bowstring. The release can include first and second magnets that exert a magnetic repelling force on one another, thereby causing the trigger to automatically reset to the hold mode, whereby the calipers or jaws reset to a closed position, optionally without the aid of any mechanical spring or other biasing element. The first and second magnets can be offset from one another to urge the trigger to move laterally relative to a longitudinal axis of the release, and thereby open the jaws or calipers. A related method of use is provided.
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to an approach for building a generic framework to allow protocol buffer data to be fully text searchable and matched fields to be quickly identified. The approach includes converting protocol buffer data from a tree structure into a field-value pair structure. The field-value pair structure can represent any protocol buffer and any new protocol buffer definition change can be adopted automatically. The approach further includes building a reverse index at a record level, which can immediately indicate the fields for each token.
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems including an acoustic wave resonator and an active shunt capacitance cancelling oscillator circuit. Such systems can be used in biosensing methods, while avoiding impedance distortion and phase shift anomalies.
