  • Patent number: 12086504
Abstract: Techniques enable an automatic adjustment of a muted response setting of an automated assistant based on a determination of an expectation by a user to hear an audible response to their query, despite the muted setting. Determination of the expectation may be based on historical, empirical data uploaded from multiple users over time for a given response scenario. For example, the system may determine from the historical data that a certain type of query has been associated with a user both repeating their query and increasing a response volume setting within a given timeframe. Metrics may be generated, stored, and invoked in response to attributes associated with identifiable types of queries and query scenarios. Automated response characteristics meant to reduce inefficiencies may be associated with certain queries that can otherwise collectively burden network bandwidth and processing resources.

  • Patent number: 12089091
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing bandwidth which can be used to support network connectivity and to obtain services from elements in a network, e.g., 5G network, are described. In various embodiments a DOCSIS link is connects a residential gateway at a customer premises to devices outside the customer premises, e.g., to devices in a 5G network or another network. Devices which support EAP authentication are provided with their dedicated bandwidth over the DOCSIS link. Devices which do not support EAP authentication, e,g, WiFi devices, share bandwidth to which a subscriber residing at the customer premise subscribes. Devices which support EAP authentication are provided reserved resources corresponding to a subscription associated with the individual device thereby allowing a user of a device which supports EAP authentication to obtain more bandwidth than is normally provided to a visited premises based on the service subscription associated with the visiting device.

  • Patent number: 12087275
Abstract: Systems and methods for text-to-speech with novel speakers can obtain text data and output audio data. The input text data may be input along with one or more speaker preferences. The speaker preferences can include speaker characteristics. The speaker preferences can be processed by a machine-learned model conditioned on a learned prior distribution to determine a speaker embedding. • Patent number: 12088546
Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing network traffic between a service and client devices. In some aspects, the system receives a first data stream for a first type of communication between a service and a client device for a user. In response to determining that the first data stream includes an unresolved user query, the system determines that a second type of communication occurred between the service and the user. The system processes a second data stream for the second type of communication to determine that the second type of communication includes the unresolved user query and a service response to the unresolved user query. The system provides the unresolved user query and the service response to update a machine learning model used by the service to generate service responses to one or more user queries during a future communication of the first type.

  • Patent number: 12083009
Abstract: A method is provided for preparing pericardial tissue that is used for a bioprosthetic heart valve assembly. According to this method, pericardial tissue is harvested from a host animal and then cleaned. The cleaned tissue is then fixed using glutaraldehyde. After fixation of the tissue, the residual antigenic components are removed to preserve the tissue structural integrity for its long-term performance. In addition, higher concentrations of alcohol are used to reduce the tissue bioburden, and at the same time to dehydrate the tissue followed by preserving the tissue with glycerol so as to mitigate glutaraldehyde-storage related issues for the bioprosthetic heart valve.

  • Patent number: 12084350
Abstract: Alloys, emf attenuation materials or emf reception materials, materials for biotechnology or biomedical materials, and materials for toxin and heavy metal removal, each containing a newly discovered allotrope of carbon having a multilayered nanocarbon array, and which exhibits, among other properties, exceptional stability, electrical conductivity and electromagnetic frequency (emf) attenuation characteristics. Members of this new allotrope include nanocarbon structures possessing vast electron delocalization in multiple directions, unavailable to known fullerene-characterized materials like carbon nano-onions (CNOs), multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs), graphene, carbon nano-horns, and carbon nano-ellipsoids. Such stabilizing electron delocalization crosses or proceeds between layers, as well as along layers, in multiple directions within a continuous cyclic structure having an advanced interlayer connectivity bonding system involving the whole carbon array, apart from incidental defects.
