Abstract: One example method involves rotating a housing of a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) device about a first axis. The housing includes a first optical window and a second optical window. The method also involves transmitting a first plurality of light pulses through the first optical window to obtain a first scan of a field-of-view (FOV) of the LIDAR device. The method also involves transmitting a second plurality of light pulses through the second optical window to obtain a second scan of the FOV. The method also involves identifying, based on the first scan and the second scan, a portion of the FOV that is at least partially occluded by an occlusion.

Abstract: In some aspects described herein, a computer-based system that is capable of constructing digital documents is provided. In some implementations, a machine learning system is provided that learns certain terms within a document. The terms may be, for example, part of a document that forms a legally-binding contract between two entities. In one implementation of the machine learning system, the machine learning system interoperates within a user interface to show predictions of certain terms within the document to the user. Further, the machine learning system may capture user answers relating to certain terms and provide feedback into the system that learns during operation of the system, improving user interactions, accuracy and reducing the number of user interactions.
Abstract: A communication device, method, and computer program product reduce power consumption when one or more transmit chains can be inactivated without unsatisfactory uplink communication quality in single data layer transmit diversity (TxDiv) or multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode. The communication device monitors uplink signal quality of the uplink data stream while connected in single layer mode to a base node using multiple transmit chains. The controller device deactivates transmit chain(s) while the uplink signal quality remains satisfactory. The controller re-activates the inactivated transmit chain(s) in response to the uplink signal quality becoming unsatisfactory.
Abstract: The disclosure generally provides zeolites having the CHA crystalline framework and methods of preparing the same. Provided herein are CHA zeolites containing intergrowths, a controlled framework aluminum distribution, or both. Further provided are CHA zeolites wherein crystals of the zeolite material have a predominantly flake-like morphology as determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Further provided are catalyst compositions, articles, and systems including CHA zeolites promoted with a metal.

Abstract: A method and system for aligning a component within a turbine casing, and a related turbine casing, are disclosed. In a top-on position, a location of a reference point and another, vertically spaced reference point on the lower casing are measured. After removing at least the upper casing, the reference points' locations are measured again, and the locations of a reference point on an upper surface of the HJ flange are measured. A prediction offset value is calculated for the component support position in the top-on position based on the locations. The prediction offset value may include a vertical adjustment based, in part, on a translation of a triangular spatial relationship of a number of the reference points and/or a tilt angle, a horizontal adjustment, and a HJ flange surface distortion adjustment. The component support position is adjusted by the prediction offset value to improve alignment.

Abstract: Methods of recovering nutrients from a high nitrogenous liquid waste are disclosed. The methods include collecting the high nitrogenous liquid waste, introducing the high nitrogenous liquid waste and an oxidant into a reactor to produce oxy-anions of nitrogen, maintaining a predetermined pH to control concentration of the oxy-anions of nitrogen, and concentrating the liquid to produce a concentrated product and a dilute water. Systems for recovering nutrients from a high nitrogenous waste are also disclosed. The systems include a solids-liquid separator, a reactor having an inlet fluidly connected to the solids-liquid separator and an inlet fluidly connected to a source of an oxidant, a pH control subsystem, and a dissolved solids concentrator.

Abstract: An LED structure includes an epi layer grown on a substrate and a plurality of dielectric nanoantennas positioned within the epi layer. Abstract: A size adjustable LED light system has a first and second light retainer that are configured as mirror images to retain a front LED light strip of variable heights and lengths. Also, each of the first and second light retainer form a side LED light receiver channel configured to receive a side LED light. The front extensions of each of the light retainers create a barrier between the front LED light strip and the side LED light, to enable different colors of light to be projected from the front and the two sides. The first and second light retainers have front panel channel for retaining a front panel of the front LED light strip and side panel channels for retaining a side panel over the respective side LED light or side LED light panel.
Abstract: Methods of evaluating deer are disclosed including examples predicting the activity of deer using artificial intelligence object detection. Gender evaluations and subsequent gender reevaluations based on contextual information are described for better understanding of the population composition. Correlation factors are taught for predictive analysis used to evaluate conditions in which deer are likely to reappear and deer characteristics are presented in methods of evaluating the repeat appearances of deer. A variety of group matching techniques are taught for use in developing more accurate accounting of the true number of unique deer sighted.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for determining an architecture for a task neural network that is configured to perform a particular machine learning task on a target set of hardware resources. When deployed on a target set of hardware, such as a collection of datacenter accelerators, the task neural network may be capable of performing the particular machine learning task with enhanced accuracy and speed.
