Abstract: A structural assembly for an electric vehicle includes a vehicle frame, a battery structure, a pair of mounting structures, and a plurality of fasteners. The vehicle frame includes opposed longitudinal rails. The battery structure is disposed between the opposed longitudinal rails and includes a battery housing configured to house power storage units. Each mounting structure is secured to a respective side of the battery housing and supports a corresponding longitudinal rail. The plurality of fasteners extend through a corresponding mounting structure of the pair of mounting structures and a corresponding longitudinal rail of the opposed longitudinal rails to secure the vehicle frame and the battery structure to each other. An outer periphery of the corresponding mounting structure is substantially flush with an outer periphery of the corresponding longitudinal rail.

Abstract: An isolation valve system, method, and apparatus are provided that can isolate a wellbore and prevent fluids from exiting the well and prevent seawater from entering the well. The system can be a two-part design in some embodiments where a shear sub is selectively interconnected to a body via shearing screws. A sufficient force on the shear sub destroys the shearing screws and the shear sub is removed from the body. This movement rotates an actuator on the body, which in turn rotates a valve in the body to provide the isolating function during routine operation of a wellbore or during an emergency.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include methods and apparatuses for video coding. One of the apparatuses includes processing circuitry that receives a coded video bitstream that includes a current picture with a block. The processing circuitry determines a prediction block of the block using one of an intra block copy (IBC) mode and an intra template matching (IntraTMP) mode. If boundary filtering is to be applied to the block, the processing circuitry applies the boundary filtering to a prediction sample located at a position (x?,y?) in the prediction block by determining a parameter W of the boundary filtering based on coded information of the block; determining weights used in the boundary filtering by right shifting the parameter W according to the position (x?,y?); and generating a filtered prediction sample based on a linear combination of reference samples and the prediction sample according to the determined weights.

Abstract: A system for downhole optical analysis includes a housing forming at least part of a pressure barrier. The system also includes a window, formed at an end of the housing, the window being at least semi-transparent to permit light to travel through the window. The system further includes at least one light source, arranged within the housing, wherein the at least one light source is configured to emit a beam of light at a wavelength to enable non-contact, optical cleaning of the window, the wavelength being selected to reduce interaction with the window while heating a fluid film formed on the window outside the housing.

Abstract: A media application selects, from a collection of images associated with a user account, candidate pairs of images, where each pair includes a first static image and a second static image from the user account. The media application applies a filter to select a particular pair of images from the candidate pairs of images. The media application generates, using an image interpolator, one or more intermediate images based on the particular pair of images. The media application generates a video that includes three or more frames arranged in a sequence, where a first frame of the sequence is the first static image, a last frame of the sequence is the second static image, and each of the one or more intermediate images is a corresponding intermediate frame of the sequence between the first frame and the last frame.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for providing multiple egress points from a telecommunications network for a client of the network. In particular, the process and system allows for multiple provider edges of the network to utilize a route reflector server to provide a border gateway protocol (BGP) route to other provider edges in the network. Further, the multiple provider edges may each announce similar interior gateway protocol (IGP) routes through the network such that a provider edge receiving a packet intended for the customer network may select from the multiple IGP routes to provide the intended packet to the customer network. In this manner, the receiving provider edge may load balance among the various connections of the customer network to the telecommunications network.

Abstract: A method of plating a substrate includes etching at least a portion of a surface of the substrate to form voids within the surface. The substrate includes a composite material with a network of electrically conductive nanostructures dispersed therein. Electrodes are attached to the substrate, it is placed in a bath of a first electrically conductive metal, and a voltage is applied to the substrate through the electrodes to deposit a first electrically conductive metal layer onto the surface of the substrate, and a second electrically conductive metal layer is electroplated thereon.

A fenestration-supporting stent ring supports the fenestration between two struts and an apex of the fenestration supporting ring. The proximal stent ring has plurality of stent units including at least one scallop unit, at least one supporting unit, and at least one body unit. The proximal apex of each scallop unit is located at a laterally extending edge of the scallop in a first circumferential region and the proximal apex of each supporting unit is located a second circumferential region. The first and second struts of each of the at least one scallop unit are shorter than the first and second struts of each of the at least one supporting unit.

Abstract: An injection-molded cargo liner has a floor panel, at least one seat back panel and a plurality of accordion pleats joining the floor panel to the seat back panel. Living hinges between adjacent ones of the panels and pleats are made by reducing thickness. The pleats allow the seat back panel to travel with the seat back, as the seat back is moved forward and down. In this way, the cargo liner provides a continuous barrier against dirt and water.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an organizer strap for food containers. The organizer strap includes a first strap, a second strap, and a plurality of loop straps. The first strap and the second strap are coupled together in an “X” or “+” shaped configuration. The plurality of loop straps are configured to attach with the first strap and the second strap at one or more portions along the length of the first strap and the second strap. A fastening means includes four buckle members and a lock member. Each of the four buckle members is provided at each end portion of the first strap and the second strap respectively. The lock member is configured to receive the four buckle members allowing attachment of the end portions of the first strap and the second strap with the lock member to provide complete encirclement of the food containers both lengthwise and widthwise.

Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for generating, and executing, surrogate models. In some examples, a computing device generates and evaluates correlations between input and output variables for a system to identify highly correlated input and output parameters. In addition, weights for one or more of the parameters may be determined. The computing device identifies a mathematical relationship between input and output variables to generate a physics model. The computing device may also identify other features not captured by the physical relationship that are highly correlated to each other, and generates a feature model that is based on the highly correlated features. The computing device may optimize the feature model based on a culling process that reduces the computational resources required to execute the feature model. The physics model is then combined with the feature model to generate a system output model that can simulate the system.
