Abstract: A robotic system includes a support structure, a motor mount assembly, first and second parallel chains, a serial translation assembly, a sensor and a control module. The motor mount assembly includes rotary motors, where the rotary motors include a first rotary motor and a second rotary motor. The first and second parallel chains are connected to the movable platform, the rotary motors and the motor mount assembly. The serial translation assembly is connected to the supporting structure and the motor mount assembly and includes a linear actuator and a third rotary motor. The sensor is connected to the movable platform and detects force applied by a human operator on the movable platform and generates a signal indicative of the force applied. The control module controls the rotary motors and the third rotary motor based on the signal to assist the human operator in moving the movable platform.

Abstract: A serverless query processing system receives a query and determines whether the query is a recurring query or a non-recurring query. The system may predict, in response to determining that the query is the recurring query, a peak resource requirement during an execution of the query. The system may compute, in response to determining that the query is the non-recurring query, a tight resource requirement corresponding to an amount of resources that satisfy a performance requirement over the execution of the query, where the tight resource requirement is less than the peak resource requirement. The system allocates resources to the query based on an applicable one of the peak resource requirement or the tight resource requirement. The system then starts the execution of the query using the resources.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed that provide a pickup process for items purchased from a store. In some embodiments, a mobile computing device of a customer may determine whether the mobile computing device and therefore the customer are in a pickup zone for a store. In response to determining that the mobile computing device is in the pickup zone, the mobile computing device may notify the customer and request whether the customer wishes to initiate pickup of purchased items from the store. The mobile computing device may notify a merchandise pickup system of the customer's desire to pickup the purchased items.

Abstract: A proppant delivery assembly receives and supports a plurality of containers having proppant stored therein. A cradle has a top surface which receives and supports the plurality of containers when positioned thereon. The cradle enables the plurality of containers to dispense the proppant stored therein. A proppant mover is positioned to underlie and extend along the top surface of the cradle aligned with the plurality of containers to receive proppant from the plurality of containers. The proppant mover carries proppant away from the plurality of containers. A chute is coupled to the cradle for receiving proppant from the proppant mover and directing the proppant to a blender hopper. A hood assembly is disposed at an end of the chute opposite the proppant mover for directing a vacuum air flow that removes a volume of air containing proppant dust particles directed from the chute.

Abstract: Unauthorized use of user credentials in a network is detected. Data indicative of text strings being used to access resources in the network is accessed. Regex models are determined for the text strings. Troupings of the regex models are determined based on an optimization of a cumulative weighted function. A regex model having a cumulative weighted function that exceeds a predetermined threshold is identified. An alert is generated when the cumulative weighted function for the identified regex model exceeds the predetermined threshold.

Abstract: Methods of forming a back side image sensor device, as well as back side image sensor devices formed, are disclosed. In one such a method, an image sensor wafer having a first dielectric layer with a first surface is obtained. A reconstituted wafer having a processor die and a second dielectric layer with a second surface is obtained. The reconstituted wafer and the image sensor wafer are bonded to one another including coupling the first surface of the first dielectric layer and the second surface of the second dielectric layer. In another method, such formation is for a processor die bonded to an image sensor wafer. In yet another method, such formation is for a processor die bonded to an image sensor die.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a multi-core polymer optical fibre comprises arranging optical fibre preforms in a stack, the optical fibre preforms each comprising a polymer core and polymer cladding surrounding the polymer core; and drawing and bonding the stack to form the multi-core polymer optical fibre. Any contaminants or impurities which collect on outer surfaces of the preforms may be confined to boundaries between the preforms, which may avoid attenuation of signals passed through the cores while at the same time reducing crosstalk between cores of the final manufactured fibre. Also provided is a multi-core polymer optical fibre obtainable by the method.

Abstract: An interactive system includes a device configured to output a signal toward a surface such that the signal reflects off the surface at an angle and along a path of travel, and such that an object that interrupts the path of travel of the signal causes a return signal to travel in a reverse direction along the path of travel for receipt by the device. The interactive system also includes a control system communicatively coupled to the device. The control system is configured to receive data from the device, in which the data is associated with the receipt of the return signal by the device, and determine a position of the object relative to the device based on the data.

Abstract: A system is provided that may include a first communication controller that may communicate with a vehicle system formed from two or more vehicles. The first communication controller may operate in different modes, including a first mode to control movement of the vehicle system without repeating any control signals communicated between the vehicles, and in a second mode to monitor different frequencies for receipt of the control signals, receive and repeat a first control signal of the control signals at a first frequency, and receive and repeats a second control signal of the control signals at a second frequency. The first communication controller may also operate in a third mode in which the first communication controller may monitor the first frequency but not the second frequency for the first control signal, receives the first control signal at the first frequency, and repeats the first control signal at the first frequency.
