  • Patent number: 12261642
Abstract: A method/system described herein addresses the intrinsic nonlinearity of electrooptic modulators and the restrictions placed on the signals dynamic range in applications such as data communication and sensing. Linear electro-optic modulation utilizing ring resonator electrooptic modulators is produced over a dramatically wider range of the input signal amplitude, which improves the dynamic range and the amount of information that is transmitted via laser light. A distributed and subranging design “folds” the large dynamic range across multiple linear subranges, with each subrange being addressed using a unique optical wavelength, or a unique optical fiber, or a unique free space path. The subrange within the wide dynamic range of the input signal is captured by the linear portion of the transfer function of a single transfer function. This enables the efficient use of optical links for the transmission and processing of analog and multilevel signals, overcoming the limitations that were hindering progress.

  • Patent number: 12261843
Abstract: A native application on a client computing device enables secure user authentication via an identity provider (IdP) for accessing services of a web service provider. The native application forwards a redirect request generated by a main gateway of the service provider and including an IdP uniform resource locator (URL) to a system browser of the client computing device. The redirect request directs the system browser to a broker gateway of the service provider that registers an authentication response handler and redirects the system browser to the IdP URL to enable a user of the native client computing device to authenticate. After the broker gateway receives an IdP authentication response from the IdP following authentication by the user, the broker gateway provides the IdP authentication response to the native application for providing back to the main gateway. The main gateway finally processes the authentication response to complete the authentication request.

  • Patent number: 12262031
Abstract: Scalable coding concepts are described. One aspect improves parallel decoding of inter-dependent layers of a multi-layer video data stream by introducing a long-term syntax element structure for guaranteeing that during a predetermined time period the pictures of the dependent layer are subdivided so that borders of the spatial segments of the pictures of the second layer and the spatial segments of the first layer overlay. Another aspect concerns upsampling from base layer to enhancement layer. Another aspect introduces a long-term syntax element structure allowing the decoder to determine the inter-layer offset for a predetermined time period. Another aspect introduces a type indicator field changing a way a layer indicator field within the NAL unit headers is to be interpreted. Another aspect allows different codecs/standards to be used for the different layers. Another aspect concerns a syntax element structure which indicates the inter-layer offset in units of the base layer blocks.

  • Patent number: 12260291
Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein enable tracking user actions by generating different visually scannable codes (e.g., QR codes) for combinations of user, operator, and action(s). Each visually scannable code may be stored with user action data and an operator identifier and linked to another visually scannable code corresponding to the user. When a visually scannable code is scanned, all data associated with the visually scannable code and data associated with other linked visually scannable codes is generated for display. By generating the visually scannable codes and storing the codes in a linked state, the system is able to provide quick and efficient data retrieval.
