A flap portion is connected to the second panel and extends downwardly past the plane of the lower edge to an upper edge having a second band portion. The flap portion has an opened and closed position. The swimsuit includes a fastening system having first magnetic means for releasably fastening the flap portion in the closed position, and second magnetic means for releasably fastening the flap portion in the opened position. The first and second magnetic means include the first and second band portions respectively, a thin strip integrally coupled within each band portion, a plurality of magnetic elements, a plurality of spaced pockets attached to each strip for encasing each magnetic element, and a cover layer bonded to the strip.
Abstract: A catheter hub for use with a medical device and a catheter, the hub includes a hub body defining a fluid passageway in communication with a first aperture. Optionally, the hub body defines a second aperture that intersects the first aperture. The hub body attaches to the catheter wherein the fluid passageway and the catheter are aligned for fluid flow therethrough. The first aperture extends from and communicates with the fluid passageway to an exterior surface of the hub body and the first aperture configured to receive the medical device. The second aperture extends from and communicates with the first aperture and the exterior surface. A sealing element is sized for and positioned in either the first or the second apertures. The sealing element is configured to receive the medical device and seal both of the first and the second apertures.
Abstract: An example virtualized computing system includes: a host cluster having a virtualization layer directly executing on hardware platforms of hosts, the virtualization layer supporting execution of virtual machines (VMs), the VMs including pod VMs and native VMs, the pod VMs including container engines supporting execution of containers in the pod VMs, the native VMs including applications executing on guest operating systems; an orchestration control plane integrated with the virtualization layer and including a master server and native VM controllers, the master server managing lifecycles of the pod VMs and the native VMs; and management agents, executing in the native VMs, configured to receive decoupled information from the master server through the native VM controllers and to provide the decoupled information for consumption by the applications executing in the native VMs, the decoupled information including at least one of configuration information and secret information.
Abstract: A composite proton conductive membrane, comprising an inorganic filler having covalently bonded acidic functional groups and a high surface area of at least 150 m2/g; and a water insoluble ionically conductive polymer. This membrane provides advantages over traditional polymeric proton conductive membranes for redox flow battery, fuel cell, and electrolysis applications include: 1) enhanced proton conductivity/permeance due to the formation of additional nanochannels for proton conducting; 2) improved proton/electrolyte selectivity for redox flow battery application; 3) reduced membrane swelling and gas or electrolyte crossover; 4) improved chemical stability; 5) increased cell operation time with stable performance, and 6) reduced membrane cost.

Abstract: A system for improving personality traits is provided. The system includes at least one processor configured to provide an option to a user for selecting at least one personality trait from a plurality of personality traits. The processor is also configured to suggest at least one alternate personality trait for selection based on the personality trait selected by the user, and allow selection of at least one of the suggested alternate personality traits or proceed with the earlier selection. The processor is further configured to suggest one or more actions based on the personality trait selected by the user, wherein the action is to cause an improvement in the selected personality trait of the user.
Abstract: Methods and systems for time-domain and wavelength domain resolved multiplexed time-resolved fluorescence of a sample having at least one of a first fluorescent label bound to a first analyte and a second fluorescent label bound to a second analyte. The sample also includes a third fluorescent label bound to a third analyte and a fourth fluorescent label bound to a fourth analyte. The first and second fluorescent labels emit wavelengths having a first and second lifetime. The third fluorescent label comprises an upconverting phosphor (UCP) emitting at a wavelength having a third lifetime, and the fourth fluorescent label comprises an infrared dye emitting at wavelength having a fourth lifetime. The methods and systems measure as a function of time intensities of at least one of more of the first, second, third, and fourth fluorescent labels.
Abstract: Disclosed is a midband dipole for use in a multiband antenna. The midband dipole has four folded dipoles, each of which is coupled to a decoupling circuit that has two capacitance points. The disclosed decoupling circuit configuration mitigates common mode resonance with nearby lowband dipoles, further preventing cross polarization in the midband.
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to techniques for application-based controls of a wheelchair-accessible autonomous vehicle. A process of the disclosed technology can include steps for receiving a request for a wheelchair-accessible autonomous vehicle (WAV) to execute an ingress function, wherein the ingress function includes a deployment of a wheelchair ramp by the WAV, sending an ingress command to the WAV in response to the request, wherein the ingress command comprises instructions cause the WAV to execute the ingress function at a specified pick-up location, and receiving feedback from the WAV, the feedback includes sensor data associated with a wheelchair ramp and status information associated with the ingress function. Machine-readable media and systems are also provided.
Abstract: This invention discloses methods and composition to form biodegradable polymer implant arrays in the live tissue. Artificial cavities are created in the live tissue by using laser ablation, oscillating needle, microneedle array and other methods. The cavities are then filled with biodegradable polymer solution. The solvent in the polymer solution is dissipated in the tissue to form a biodegradable polymer implant in artificial cavities. The cavities and implants formed are arranged to form of an array of implants. The biodegradable polymer in the cavity can also be loaded with drug to form biodegradable drug delivery array in the live tissue.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a tower structure of a wind turbine includes printing, via an additive printing device, the tower structure of the wind turbine of a cementitious material. The method also includes printing, via the additive printing device, one or more additional airflow modifying features on an outer surface the tower structure of the wind turbine so as to reduce and/or prevent vortex shedding, excitation, and/or drag of the tower structure. Further, the method includes curing the cementitious material so as to form the tower structure.
