Abstract: A system comprising an electronic pricing system configured to receive information corresponding to a designed product and determine an initial price(s) as well as initial values of other business variables associated with the price. The system allows a user to enter a change to a price or the other business variable to instantly discover how the change affects other variables and optionally how the change affects one or more allowable ranges of acceptable values of other variables. The user can then lock the value of one or more of the variables and prices and change others to instantly discover how a change to one affects the others. The user can then order manufacture of the designed product as a function of values of price and other business variables.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a computer-implemented method of training a neural network for creating an output signal of different modality from an input signal is described. In embodiments, the first modality may be a sound signal or a visual image and where the output signal would be a visual image or a sound signal, respectively. In embodiments a model is trained using a first pair of visual and audio networks to train a set of codebooks using known visual signals and the audio signals and using a second pair of visual and audio networks to further train the set of codebooks using the augmented visual signals and the augmented audio signals. Further, the first and the second visual networks are equally weighted and where the first and the second audio networks are equally weighted.

Abstract: An intravaginal electrical stimulation device for treating pelvic pain in a female patient includes, in one embodiment, a set of intravaginal components comprising a frame, at least one pair of paracervical electrodes, an intravaginal capsule, a socket in the proximal end of the intravaginal capsule, an electrode plug that plugs into the socket, and connecting wires that electrically couple the electrode plug to the paracervical electrodes. The intravaginal components are designed to inserted into the patient's vagina so that one or more electrodes are in direct contact with the vaginal epithelium in the lateral vaginal fornices. In some embodiments, a cutaneous electrode may be included to be attached to the skin of the female patient.

Abstract: An electrochemical separation device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a cell stack including a plurality of sub-blocks each having alternating depleting compartments and concentrating compartments and each including frame and channel portions disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. Abstract: A cleaning device includes a base member extending with a first distal end and a first proximal end. The first proximal end is at an angle relative to the first distal end. Abstract: Methods and computing apparatus for implementing a radiation dosimetry process. An example process may include exposing a first radiation sensitive film to a series of known doses of radiation, measuring a first set of radiation data with a measurement device, and determining a calibration curve. The calibration curve may be determined by selecting Raman spectral ranges based on the first set of radiation data, determining a plurality of band area ratios, and generating the calibration curve based on plotting the band areas and ratios compared to known dose. The radiation dosimetry process then exposes a second radiation sensitive film to an unknown dose of radiation, measures a second set of radiation data for the second radiation sensitive film with the measurement device, and determines a dose exposure level for the second radiation sensitive film by comparing the second set of radiation data with the calibration curve.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve reinforcement ring is disclosed for reinforcing a natural heart valve with leaflets. The prosthetic ring includes a ring body sized and dimensioned to fit around the annulus of the heart valve. The ring body has an inner surface with a plurality of grooves on the inner surface of the ring body, where each of grooves is configured to grasp a suture. A method of reinforcing a natural heart valve is also disclosed. Sutures are provided around an annulus of a natural heart valve with leaflets. A prosthetic ring is selected that is sized to fit around the annulus. The prosthetic ring is attached to the annulus by inserting sutures into the grooves until the leaflets are properly closed. The fit of the prosthetic ring is adjusted by individually manipulating the sutures in the grooves. The sutures are tied, securing the prosthetic ring in place.
Abstract: The invention relates generally to welding and, more specifically, to welding wires for arc welding, such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). In one embodiment, a tubular welding wire includes a sheath and a core. The tubular welding wire is configured to form a weld deposit on a structural steel workpiece, wherein the weld deposit includes less than approximately 2.5% manganese by weight.

Abstract: Energy distribution structures provide architectural flexibility in various configurations, materials, and scalability, which enables a vast number of applications. An energy distribution structure or array thereof may include a three-dimensional outer component and a three-dimensional inner component within the outer component. The outer component absorbs and redirects initial energy from an applied energy event, and the inner component absorbs and redirects residual energy from the applied energy event. Such an applied energy event may be caused by a ballistic or non-ballistic impact, an instantaneous or prolonged impact such as atmospheric pressure or decompression, explosive overpressure (shockwave), low-velocity contact, and blunt force trauma. Energy distribution structures can increase the strength, resilience or survivability of such events, and reduce the injury or damage to target objects such as people, vehicles, structures, vessels and surfaces by shielding same from such events.
Abstract: A therapeutic position verifying tool is a semi-custom oral appliance equipped with adjustment assemblies for setting trial occlusion dimensions during a process of fitting a patient for an oral appliance. The oral appliance is fabricated from a polymer such as control-cured PMMA. The adjustment assemblies enable the vertical, anterior-posterior and lateral occlusion dimensions to be set. Occlusion dimensions are measured directly with a pharyngometer or indirectly with a bite registration method. The measurements are transferred to the tool by setting the tool to the measured dimensions using the adjustment assembly. When a target therapeutic position for a patient is found, the patient tests the position during the night with a Polysomnogram (PSG) or Home Sleep Test (HST). The use of the tool in verifying a therapeutic position for an oral appliance eliminates much of the time-consuming process of titrating the appliance to the patient.
Abstract: A ponded ash beneficiation system and related methods treat either landfilled or ponded waste coal fly ash by removing at least 75% of the carbon from a collected quantity of such waste coal fly ash. Analysis and testing of the collected waste coal fly ash to determine optimal air balance, indirect heat temperature and retention time. Subjecting a stream of such waste coal fly ash to temperatures ranging from 900° F. and 1150° F. along with air addition calibrated as a function of the LOI of the carbon in such waste coal fly ash. This stream is exposed to the foregoing range of temperatures and corresponding air addition for a range of time between 20 minutes and 90 minutes, in certain aspects of the disclosure. A system for beneficiating landfilled or ponded waste coal fly ash makes use of a carbon reduction kiln comprising multiple independent heat zones so that the waste coal fly ash is preferably exposed to indirect heat when received in such zones.
