Abstract: Equipment is provided for converting a phasor-domain model of a power system to a time-domain model. The equipment obtains the phasor-domain model and a raw file that represents a representable subset of parameters of the phasor-domain model. The equipment modifies the raw file as needed for the raw file to accurately represent the representable subset of parameters. The equipment generates a supplementary file that represents a non-representable subset of parameters of the phasor-domain model which is not representable by the raw file. The equipment also obtains a time-domain specific parameter file that represents parameters specific for modeling the power system in the time-domain. The equipment converts the phasor-domain model to the time-domain model, based on the raw file as modified, the supplementary file, and the time-domain specific parameter file. The equipment may also perform fault simulation-based quality verification of the time-domain model.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically soliciting the purchase of a first or second machine-related resource in a forward market, wherein the first resource and the second resource are distinct instances of the same type of resource, are described. A sample system may include a fleet of machines, each having a resource requirement comprising at least two of: a compute resource, a spectrum resource, or a network bandwidth resource. The system may include an circuits to aggregate data corresponding to the machine-related resources from at least a behavioral data source, to determine a substitution cost of a second resource; to determine a machine-related resource acquisition value; and to automatically solicit a purchase, in a forward market, of one of the first resource or the second resource in response to the determined substitution cost of the second resource.

Abstract: A system to detect LEDs and their states in an AR context is provided having a monitored device having a plurality of LEDs; a computer receives a picture of the monitored device and LEDs; the computer processes said picture to determine a plurality of feature points; a database is in data communication with said computer that stores a plurality of reference images with reference feature points and reference zones; the computer matches at least some of the plurality of feature points with at least some of the plurality of reference feature points to compute a homography matrix; the computer transforms the picture into a transformed picture using the homography matrix; the computer processes zones of the transformed picture based on the reference zones to determine the state of each of the plurality of LEDs by comparing a value of the picture in the zone with a reference value.

Abstract: Techniques are described for computer-aided diagnostic evaluation of liver exams. A method embodiment comprises rendering, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, medical images of a liver of a patient in a graphical user interface (GUI) of a medical imaging application that facilitates evaluating liver imaging exams. The method further comprises identifying, by the system, an observation on the liver as depicted in one or more of the medical images and evaluating defined imaging features associated with the observation as depicted in the one or more medical images. The method further comprises providing, by the system, feature information regarding the defined imaging features via the GUI.

Abstract: A cellular glass system for insulating an outer surface of a fluid carrying or storing vessel, such as a pipe, is disclosed. The system is comprised of segments of cellular glass insulation. A sealant is provided at the interface between adjacent cellular glass segments to seal the system from moisture and thermal intrusion.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a vehicle without a B-pillar that has barn doors and partially frameless windows. The barn doors may include a window seal system having a primary seal for creating a watertight barrier when the window is in a first closed position. Upon the vehicle exceeding a predetermined speed threshold, the vehicle may automatically raise the window from the first closed position to being in a second closed position in which a secondary seal secures the window to prevent buffeting of the window. Disclosed embodiments may further include a seal and door structure that provides a pair of seals (an inner seal and an outer seal) between the front and rear barn doors that provide a watertight barrier when the doors are closed together and that also allows for each of the front and rear doors to be independently opened and closed in a barn-door fashion.

Abstract: A technique for dynamic digital ad configuration of digital ads being displayed on web pages and other digital properties is discussed. In one embodiment a site-specific Ad Tag is used to formulate a request for ad creatives for a publisher web page based on previously stored website configuration settings and dynamically retrieved targeting parameters. Ad creatives satisfying the request are identified and advertiser configuration settings for the identified and retrieved ad creative may be further adjusted based on the publisher website configuration settings before the ad creative is displayed on the website. Further, the site-specific Ad Tag may continue to monitor a performance of the displayed ad creative after the ad creative has been displayed on the web page of the publisher to optimize display and acquire information.

Abstract: A subsea foundation comprises at least one mudmat having a top panel and a skirt depending from the top panel to be embedded into seabed soil. At least one auxiliary plate is supported by the mudmat, the plate being deployable downwardly like a guillotine blade from a raised, retracted position in which the plate is held above a lower edge of the skirt into a lowered, deployed position in which the plate extends beneath the lower edge of the skirt to be embedded further into the seabed soil. The foundation may be used to restrict movement of an elongate subsea element, such as a pipeline, relative to the seabed.

Abstract: A boat includes a propulsion device and a surf device. The propulsion device is configured to move the boat in a forward direction through a body of water to generate a wake having a port-side wave and a starboard-side wave. The surf device includes an inlet, an impeller, and an outlet. The surf device is configured to draw water from the body of water through the inlet, accelerate the water by rotating the impeller, and discharge the accelerated water through the outlet to create a surfable wake.

Two sidewall structures are each foldably attached to one of the second base edges. Each of the sidewall structures includes a first wall panel foldably attached to one of the second base edges along a first fold line, a second wall panel foldably attached to the first wall panel configured to be overlapped with the first wall panel to form a side wall. A second minor end flap is foldably attached by a crushed channel to the second side wall panel, and extends in the lateral direction from the second side wall panel. Abstract: A navigation engine for medical and/or pharmacy claims (in combination with employer human resource records or on a stand-alone basis) that quantifies healthcare outcomes and ranks healthcare providers and other healthcare items by root diagnosis based on their overall average claims per healthy day (i.e., clinical efficiency). Claims per healthy day is the adjusted claims cost per day to keep a patient healthy (or in the case of an employer, keep an employee at work), so the lower, the better. The navigation engine uses drop-down menus and/or similar techniques that require the user to select a root diagnosis on which to search, as well as other variables (e.g., provider category, geographic proximity, in-network versus in or out of network, etc.), turning an open-ended question, e.g.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses control light emitted from a mirror platform through an interaction with a user. A first signal is received from a capacitive sensor during the interaction. The capacitive sensor is incorporated on the back side of the mirror platform. The first signal is processed to obtain control parameters for at least two light sources. The at least two light sources are configured with the mirror platform and the at least two light sources produce light at different color temperatures. The control parameters are used to cause the at least two light sources to emit light at a color temperature established during the interaction.

Abstract: A ground-based vehicle for making and applying a fire and smoke inhibiting slurry composition on ground surfaces before the arrival of wildfire so as to proactively form a strategic chemical-type wildfire break on the ground surfaces. The vehicle includes: a mobile spray vehicle navigable along a ground surface; a mixing tank with an integrated agitator mechanism mounted on the mobile spray vehicle, for blending mulch fibers including wood and/or cellulose fibers, with clean fire inhibiting chemicals (CFIC), using a wetting agent, and then mixing with a quantity of water to make up a fire and smoke inhibiting slurry mixture, so that the clean fire inhibiting chemicals infuse into the surface of the mulch fibers when being mixed within said mixing tank; a GPS-tracking hydraulic spraying system supported on the mobile spray vehicle to hydraulically spray the fire and smoke inhibiting slurry mixture on the ground surface so as to form a strategic chemical-type wildfire break.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate generally to apparatuses and methods for structuring and processing data. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving stimulus-response data, via a processor, the stimulus-response data including a digital representation of a stimulus and a digital representation of a response. The processor calculates a weight associated with the stimulus-response data, based on a rule, and identifies: (1) a distribution type, based on the digital representation of the stimulus; and (2) a range of inclination values of the distribution type, based on the digital representation of the response. The processor compiles a compressed multidimensional data profile associated with an object of the stimulus-response data and based on the weight, the digital representation of the distribution type, and the digital representation of the range of inclination values.

Abstract: A system for storing and transporting compressed natural gas includes source and destination facilities and a vehicle, each of which includes pressure vessels. The pressure vessels and gas therein may be maintained in a cold state by a carbon-dioxide-based refrigeration unit. Hydraulic fluid (and/or nitrogen) ballast may be used to fill the pressure vessels as the pressure vessels are emptied so as to maintain the pressure vessels in a substantially isobaric state that reduces vessel fatigue and lengthens vessel life. The pressure vessels may be hybrid vessels with carbon fiber and fiber glass wrappings. Dip tubes may extend into the pressure vessels to selectively expel/inject gas from/into the top of the vessels or hydraulic fluid from/into the bottom of the vessels. Impingement deflectors are disposed adjacent to the dip tubes inside the vessels to discourage fluid-induced erosion of vessel walls.

Abstract: The inventive technology comprises a novel thermal indicator system that incorporates one or more thermogenic compounds that may be applied to a gun component and indicate the temperature of a gun component during and after use. This novel thermal indicator system may indicate the temperature at which the gun component will cause burns, is unsafe to store, or if a pre-determined threshold temperature has been reached resulting in a loss of firing accuracy, as well as imminent, or actual component failure.
