Abstract: According to one or more embodiments presently disclosed herein, a multilayer structure may include an oriented film and a sealant layer. The oriented film may include at least 90% by weight polyethylene. The sealant layer may include from 15 wt. % to 40 wt. % of a low density polyethylene based on the total weight of the sealant layer. The sealant layer may further include (a) from 60 wt. % to 85 wt. % of an ethylene-based elastomer based on the total weight of the sealant layer, or (b) from 60 wt. % to 85 wt. % of a propylene-based plastomer based on the total weight of the sealant layer.

Abstract: An aseptic manifold dispensing assembly that comprises a connector for connecting to a source, a dispensing manifold in fluid communication with the connector that includes a plurality of outputs, and a filling manifold. The filling manifold comprises an inlet for connecting to at least one of the plurality of outputs of the dispensing manifold, a plurality of peristaltic pumps connected in parallel downstream the inlet, and a container downstream the plurality of peristaltic pumps, a scale, and a controller operatively connected to the scale and the filling manifold.

Abstract: Methods and a system allow consumers of healthcare to select an independent insurance agent from a set of independent insurance agents and to request offers for health insurance policies from the independent insurance agents. The methods and systems obviate lead generating firms by allowing the consumer to select their independent insurance agent based on a criterion chosen by the consumer. The consumer sends personal contact information and healthcare information (i.e., a medical history) to the selected independent agent. The consumer does not send information to the system. Accordingly, unselected agents cannot contact the consumer. Because the insurance agent is an independent insurance agent, offers for health insurance can include policies from different underwriters. The methods and system provide for the consumer being added to do not call lists by default. The methods and system collect consumer protection compliance information from the consumer.

Abstract: A method for authenticating a user prior to allowing a transaction or access to a website, in which the user's computer is identified via a recognized computer signature that is associated with a geographical location. The location of the user's cell phone is compared to the associated location, and the transaction or access is permitted if the difference in locations is within a predetermined acceptable distance.

Abstract: A headlight for a vehicle is described herein. The headlight includes a hybridized device and a controller. The hybridized device includes an array of light emitting devices that illuminate a roadway on which the vehicle is located when operating. The controller is electrically coupled to the hybridized device and, when operating, causes the array of light emitting devices to selectively project a patterned light on to an object on the roadway using the hybridized device and causes a camera to capture an image of the patterned light projected on the object.

Abstract: Techniques for generating product images in a user's space. The techniques include: receiving, by a mobile device having a camera, information indicating a position in the user's space at which to place a proxy product model serving as a proxy for a product of a first type; generating, using augmented reality (AR), a visualization of the proxy product model, at the indicated position, in the user's space; receiving information indicating dimensions for the proxy product model; guiding, using AR, the user to capture one or more images of the user's space, with the mobile device, at one or more respective camera positions and/or orientations relative to the indicated position, in the user's space; obtaining, based on the information indicating the dimensions for the proxy product model and the one or more images of the user's space, at least one image of at least one product of the first type in the user's space; and displaying the at least one image of the at least one product.

Abstract: Systems and methods for simplifying the assignment and management of IP addresses are provided. In examples, a DHCP relay agent system receives an IP address request or similar discover message from a client computing device and forwards the request to one or more DHCP servers. In addition to forwarding the request, the DHCP relay agent system may be configured to append and forward information related to the DHCP negotiation process to a DHCP server. For example, the indication of operations may include executable instructions, such as opcodes, that facilitate the offer of an IP address lease. Parameters necessary for executing the operations, such as operands, may also be appended. In examples, the DHCP server may effectively operate as a processor, virtual processor, or virtual machine in the lease negotiation process, where IP address assignment or management decisions are pre-defined by the configuration information of the DHCP relay agent system.

Abstract: A request to authenticate is received. For example, the request to authenticate may be to authenticate to a software application or a device. The request to authenticate is for a first authentication level for a user. The first authentication level is one of a plurality of authentication levels for the user. The request to authenticate is authorized based on a provided one or more authentication factors (e.g., a valid username/password). A plurality of authentication tokens are retrieved. The plurality of authentication tokens are associated with the first authentication level. In addition, each authentication token of the plurality of authentication tokens is associated with an individual application of a plurality of applications. Access to information in the plurality of applications is granted based on the plurality of authentication tokens.

Abstract: A bone fixation screw is provided for coupling with a bone fusion plate to join bone fusions. The bone fixation screw comprises a head portion and a shank that is comprised of distal threads and extends to a tapered portion and a rounded distal end. The head portion includes proximal threads extending circumferentially around an inferior end of the head portion. The proximal threads are configured to advantageously cross-thread with aperture threads of the bone fusion plate when the bone fixation screw is obliquely angled relative to the bone fusion plate. Slots disposed around the head portion allow the proximal threads to disengage and reengage with the aperture threads as the bone fixation screw turns. A shaped opening in a superior end of the head portion engagedly receives a tool for driving the bone fixation screw into a bone hole.

One exemplary method includes receiving attributes for the target vehicle, receiving prices for sold vehicles having attributes corresponding to the target vehicle attributes, and receiving mileages for the sold vehicles. The exemplary method may further include generating a linear regression model relating the sold vehicle mileages to the sold vehicle prices, and providing the target price for the target vehicle based on the model.

Abstract: An electrically conductive membrane pressure switch, such as a graphene membrane pressure switch. The electrically conductive membrane pressure switch includes an electrically conductive membrane, source, drain plane, actuator, and movable element (such as a piston element). The actuator drives the movable element to create a pressure differential that moves the suspended section of the electrically conductive membrane between its on, off, and neutral states.

Abstract: A method and system for securing an anonymous discovery service may include receiving a request from a client device, the request being directed to an anonymous Autodiscover service, identifying a source from which the request originated from within the client device, and responsive to the source being of a first type of sources, transmitting a first response to the client and responsive to the source being of a second type of sources transmitting a second response to the client. The first response does not return a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) to a service endpoint, the second response returns a URL to a service endpoint. Furthermore, the anonymous discovery service may be a discovery service that requires no authentication.

Abstract: A faceplate remote control device may be attached to a wall-mounted mechanical light switch that has a toggle actuator. The faceplate remote control device may include a toggle indicator that detects operation of the toggle actuator of the mechanical switch. The toggle indicator may cause the generation of an indication of detected operation of the toggle actuator. The toggle indicator may comprise a sliding member that is configured to move with the toggle actuator. The toggle indicator may comprise an obstruction detection device that includes an infrared (IR) transmitter and an IR receiver. The faceplate remote control device may include a control circuit and a wireless communication circuit. The control circuit may be configured to cause the wireless communication circuit to transmit one or more messages in response to detecting operation of the toggle actuator of the mechanical switch.

Abstract: A multi-lumen catheter having a guidewire for each lumen, the catheter having a proximal-end assembly and an elongate tube including a multi-lumen medial portion and a distal-end portion. Each guidewire extends from the proximal end assembly through the medial portion to a lumen convergence portion which merges the lumens into a single output lumen. The distal-end portion includes (a) the lumen convergence portion, (b) an intermediate section surrounding the output lumen, and (c) a tapered tip surrounding the output lumen, with the diameter of each lumen of the multiple lumens other than the output lumen being sized to match the guidewire therein such that the guidewire is able to move therealong while being constrained laterally and remaining substantially coaxial with its lumen, and the diameter of the single output lumen being equal to the diameter of the largest diameter lumen of the multiple lumens.

The assembly includes a tether connected to the bottom end of the airbag and to the pyrotechnic retractor such that actuation of the pyrotechnic retractor retracts the tether and urges the bottom end of the airbag toward the seat bottom.

Abstract: Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) can provide security against quantum computers that could feasibly determine private keys from public keys. A server communicating with a device can store and use PM keys comprising server private key ss, device public key Sd, and device ephemeral public key Ed. The device can store and use the corresponding PM keys, such as server public key Ss. The key use can support all of (i) mutual authentication, (ii) forward secrecy, and (iii) shared secret key exchange. The server and the device can conduct an ECDHE key exchange with the PM keys to mutually derive a symmetric ciphering key K1. The device can encrypt a device public key PK.Device with K1 and send to the server as a first ciphertext. The server can encrypt a server public key PK.Network with at least K1 and send to the device as a second ciphertext.
