Abstract: A cathode active surface includes a conductive framework of tangled nanofibers with lumps of amorphous carbon-sulfur distributed within them. The amorphous carbon-sulfur lumps are of carbon bonded to sulfur via carbon-sulfur chemical bonds and to the nanofibers via chemical bonds. The strength of the chemical bonds secures sulfur atoms within electrode to suppress the formation of undesirable polysulfides when in contact with an electrolyte. The tangled nanofibers bind the amorphous carbon-sulfur lumps and enhance thermal and electrical conductivities.

Abstract: An adjustable light fixture includes a frame configured to rotatably connect to a support and rotate about a first axis. A lamp assembly is connected to the frame. The lamp assembly includes a housing defining a cavity. A light emitter is supported in the cavity. A lens is connected to the housing. A pivot assembly rotatably couples the lamp assembly to the frame about a second axis offset from the first axis.

Abstract: Systems, circuits, and methods provide self-calibration for magnetoresistance-based magnetic field sensors. Examples can include use of a closed loop acting as a feedback or calibration loop that is configured to process a reference signal applied to one or more magnetoresistance elements in a MR-based magnetic field sensor that also detects one or more external magnetic fields. The closed loop can adjust a bias voltage applied to the one or more magnetoresistance elements based on the reference signal. The calibration loop can accordingly provide for automatic or self-calibration of sensitivity of one or more magnetoresistance elements of the sensors to compensate for external factors affecting sensitivity of the one or more magnetoresistance elements.
Abstract: Implementations described herein relate to receiving user input directed to an automated assistant, processing the user input to determine whether data from a server and/or third-party application is needed to perform certain fulfillment of an assistant command included in the user input, and generating a prompt that requests a user consent to transmitting of a request to the server and/or the third-party application to obtain the data needed to perform the certain fulfillment. In implementations where the user consents, the data can be obtained and utilized to perform the certain fulfillment. In implementations where the user does not consent, client data can be generated locally at a client device and utilized to perform alternate fulfillment of the assistant command. In various implementations, the request transmitted to the server and/or third-party application can be modified based on ambient noise captured when the user input is received.
Abstract: A device for generating a qubit control signal includes: a first signal envelope generator circuit including a first multiple of signal sources, in which an output of each signal source of the first multiple of signal sources is combined to provide a first cumulative output; and a first mixer circuit coupled to the first signal envelope generator circuit, in which the first cumulative output is coupled to a first input of the first mixer circuit, and an output of the first mixer circuit includes a first qubit control signal.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for displaying additional or targeted content to a user are disclosed. An image or data capture device associated with a display device may capture an image of an environment associated with the user or capture data related to what is being viewed by the viewer's eyes. Objects in the captured image may be recognized, and additional content may be provided based on presence or absence of recognized objects.
Abstract: An interface device may provide a first wireless network and a second wireless network in a user's premise. The interface device may encourage some user devices to connect to the second wireless network without controlling the user devices. For example, the interface device may receive a request from a device to access its first wireless network. The interface device may then determine whether the device is a premise device by, for example, searching a database of device registration information. The interface device may determine that the device is a premise device and deny the request to access the first wireless network. The device may then be available to access the second wireless network.
Abstract: A raised bed system includes a plurality of modules assembled to form a raised platform for supporting a bed. The plurality of modules define a storage area beneath the raised platform and the bed and include a closet module and a desk module. The closet module defines a closet positioned in the storage area. The desk module is positioned in the storage area and includes a movable desk selectively movable between a stored configuration and a deployed configuration.
Abstract: An adjustable trial spacer system used in spinal surgeries. This system addresses the inefficiencies of traditional trial sizers by introducing a trial base that can be combined with disposable trial caps of varying sizes. The trial base is designed to securely attach to a trial inserter, while the trial caps temporarily enclose the trial base to simulate the final implant. The system's modularity reduces the need for multiple spacer bodies, lowers costs, and improves logistical management in the operating room. Various attachment mechanisms ensure secure fitting during surgical procedures, enhancing precision in determining the appropriate implant size.
Abstract: A socket tool is disclosed. The socket tool includes a body extending between a first end and a second end and having a centerline along a longitudinal axis of the socket tool; a socket bounded by a peripheral wall and formed at the first end, the socket including a first driving element extending through the peripheral wall, bisecting the peripheral wall into first and second wall sections; and a drive recess at the second end of the body to receive a nose of a driving tool.
Abstract: Method of operating a lid of a robotic vehicle. The lid is operable by a motor between an opened and a closed positions. When the lid is between the opened position and a first intermediary position, a first electric current having a first value is provided to the motor for exerting a first force on the lid. When the lid is between the first intermediary position and a second intermediary position, a second electric current, having a second value whose sign is opposite to a sign of the first value, is provided to the motor for exerting a second force on the lid. The second force is applied in an opposite direction of the first force. When the lid is between the second intermediary position and the closed position, a third electric current having a third value having a same sign than the first value is provided to the motor.
