Abstract: A system and method for providing on-demand edge compute. The system may include an orchestrator that provides a UI and controls an abstraction layer for implementing a workflow for providing on-demand edge compute. The abstraction layer may include a network configuration orchestration (NCO) system (e.g., a Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) system) and an API that may provide an interface between the orchestrator and the NCO. The API may enable the orchestrator to communicate with the NCO for receiving requests that enable the NCO to integrate with existing network controllers, orchestrators, and other systems and perform various network provisioning tasks (e.g., to build and provision a communication path between server instances). The various tasks, when executed, may provide end-to-end automated network provisioning services as part of providing on-demand edge compute service to users. Abstract: A wireless communication device and a communication method for header repetition are described. The device and method receive and decode a wireless packet through a communication channel. Formats of the wireless packet includes a first packet format and a second packet format. In this regard, the first packet format comprises a first header field carried by a first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol while the second packet format comprises both the first header field carried by the first OFDM symbol and a second header field carried by a second OFDM symbol which follows the first OFDM symbol. The second header field is a repetition of the first header field. According to an exemplary embodiment, the second packet format is distinguished from the first packet format by detecting, from the received wireless packet, the second header field which repeats the first header field.

The LIDAR device may include a lens that both (i) collimates the light from the one or more light sources to provide collimated light for transmission into an environment of the LIDAR device and (ii) focuses the reflected light onto the one or more detectors. The lens may define a curved focal surface in a transmit path of the light from the one or more light sources and a curved focal surface in a receive path of the one or more detectors. Abstract: A system for performing computer network service chain analytics includes network-connected devices containing a plurality of virtual network functions having elements and a data model for storing a plurality of metrics related to the plurality of virtual network functions and a service chain intelligence engine in communication with the one or more network-connected devices and the data model. The memory device contains a set of instructions that causes a processor to analyze the plurality of virtual network functions to automatically identify one or more service chains, to automatically determine, using the data model, performance behavior characteristics of each element for each of the identified service chains and to automatically generate an alarm, in response to determining that the performance behavior characteristics of one or more elements of at least one of the identified one or more service chains does not meet a predefined set of the performance behavior characteristics.
