Publication number: 20240004056Abstract: High-resolution point cloud formation based on the use of a point spread function kernel is disclosed. The proposed disclosure provides the means to generate high angular resolution point clouds by performing a matching process of the point spread function (PSF) to a series of adaptive hypotheses to accurately identify the target signatures using the maximum amount of available information. The proposed method comprises a two-stage processing chain. In the first step, the spatial and the Doppler spectrum of the target responses is calculated and decomposed in terms of the sensor point spread function (PSF). In the second step, the target PSF representation is then processed using a support vector machine to determine the presence of closely located targets that would not be possible to detect using typical automotive RADAR signal processing chains.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: GM Cruise Holdings LLCInventor: Daniel Flores Tapia

Publication number: 20240004772Abstract: Systems and methods for determining and reporting actual utilization of a core of a central processing unit (CPU) of a host. Prior to implementation of aspects of the present disclosure, running a poll querying endpoints of a process for work appears to the host's operating system as busy work (e.g., taking full use of the core for the poll duration). However, only a percentage of the duration of the poll is used to process a task of the process, where the remaining duration of the poll is spent querying the endpoints (idle time) and the core is not performing a task. Accordingly, a core utilization reporting system and method automatically detects the processing time of the tasks of a process, determines actual CPU utilization of the core based on a percentage of the time the core is busy polling (doing effectively no work) versus doing actual work (processing a task).Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Khoa A. Publication number: 20240005013Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for implementing testing-and-manufacturing keys for a system-on-chip (SoC). A hardware test portion of the SoC is configured to exercise features of domains that process data being communicated across the fabrics during an externally initiated test. In response to receiving a testing-and-manufacturing token from an external test system, a testing-and-manufacturing key support component of the SoC generates a testing-and-manufacturing key. The hardware test portion is configured to execute a test function to promote security of the SoC, however, only in response to the testing-and-manufacturing security component authenticating the testing-and-manufacturing key. Through implementing testing-and-manufacturing keys this way, the system-on-chip secures access to potentially sensitive functions and secrets, while allowing their unencumbered and authorized access for testing the system-on-chip during various life cycle states.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2020Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Google LLCInventors: Andrei Tudor Stratan, Randall R.
