Abstract: The present system is for integrated management of associated gas and produced water at oil well extraction sites. The system includes a controller that makes gas allocation determination (e.g., directs conditioned gas to (i) gas flare, (ii) produced water reduction system, and/or (iii) generator) when a change in conditioned gas flow is detected based on first plurality of inputs. If the conditioned gas is directed to the generator, then the controller makes an electricity allocation determination (e.g., (i) increase a data processing operating rate on a data processing server, (ii) start up idle data processing equipment, (iii) direct generated electric current to a power grid, and/or (iv) charge a storage battery) based on second plurality of inputs. By operating the system of gas consumption and electricity production/consumption in an integrated fashion, benefits of flaring prevention, resource conversation, and more efficient economic operations are optimized to a degree not previously attainable.

Abstract: Systems and methods for driver presence and position detection are disclosed herein. A method can include determining a presence and a position of a driver in a sensing zone of a vehicle using a sensor platform integrated into the vehicle, determining when the position of the driver indicates that the driver is not in a fully-seated position relative to a driver's seat of the vehicle, and selectively adjusting a vehicle parameter of the vehicle based on the driver not being in a fully-seated position.

Abstract: A method and device for accurately monitoring, displaying, and remote reporting of turbulent material flow streams in confined channels and pipes is provided. The device can have multiple cams coupled to an obstruction, and a spring. The multiple cams can have a cam profile, and the cam profile and the spring may be selected to linearize a rotation of the obstruction over a range of fluid flow velocities. The obstruction can include have multiple obstructions each in a different area of a cross-section of a pipe, improving the accuracy of the device.

Abstract: An acoustic ceiling baffle that includes a baffle body and one or more attachment mechanisms disposed on a top edge of the baffle body configured to couple and decouple from a runner of a ceiling suspension system. The attachment mechanisms include a recessed portion that receives the runner. The recessed portion includes a first section and a second section with an opening disposed between the first section and the second section. The first section is configured to engage with a face of the runner when the acoustic ceiling baffle is coupled to the runner. The attachment mechanism further includes a first retention member and a second retention member formed around the recessed portion, each retention member comprising a bottom edge that is configured to engage with a top surface of a face of the runner.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes: receiving a request for associating a first index of privileges and permissions with an identity token, the first index specifically encoding the privileges and permissions of a first subscriber in accessing transactional data of the requester, the request including the identity token that identifies a person and has been issued to the requester by a trusted entity through a vetting process; in response to determining that the identity token is valid and verifying that the requester is the person identified by the identity token, associating the first index of privileges and permissions of the first subscriber with the identity token; and providing the identity token associated with the first index of privileges and permissions of the first subscriber, the identity token enabling the first subscriber to access transactional data of the requester in accordance with the first index of privileges and permissions.
Abstract: Aspects are provided for positive displacement pumps and methods and systems for controlling such positive displacement pumps for accurate volume dispensing. The pump may run a calibration procedure to determine a mapping between a pump speed and a flow rate for a current configuration of the positive displacement pump, a tubing size, and a fluid characteristic. A pump controller may determine a pump motion profile based on the mapping. The pump motion profile includes an acceleration phase, a constant speed phase, and a deceleration phase such that a total volume pumped according to the pump motion profile and the mapping is equal to a target volume. The pump controller may determine an adjustment to the pump motion profile based on a constant flow rate measured during operation. The pump controller may decelerate the positive displacement pump according to the adjusted pump motion profile until the target volume is dispensed.
Abstract: One example method includes receiving, at a node of a data confidence fabric (DCF), a DCF backbone, installing the DCF backbone at the node, receiving a config file at the node, and the config file includes configuration information concerning the node, and receiving and installing a trust insertion component specified in the configuration information, where operation of the trust insertion component is enabled by the DCF backbone, and the trust insertion component is operable to associate trust metadata with data received by the node.
Abstract: A fluid end, includes a plunger reciprocating within a first bore, the plunger increasing a pressure of a fluid within a pressure chamber. The fluid end also includes a second bore. The fluid end further includes a plug assembly associated with the second bore. The plug assembly includes a plug body positioned within the second bore. The plug assembly also includes a lock ring positioned, at least in part, within the second bore, the lock ring positioned to be driven radially outward responsive to a longitudinal force applied to the plug body.
Abstract: A P/V valve that can be positioned at a working height above grade (i.e., a height reachable by a service technician positioned at grade) while still providing appropriate resistance to fire and explosion by venting to atmosphere at an appropriate height above grade (e.g., 12 feet) is disclosed. In certain exemplifications of the present disclosure, the P/V valve features a diaphragm actuated two-way poppet valve actuatable by a valve piston. In alternative exemplifications of the present disclosure, the P/V valve is positioned intermediate grade and the distal end of a P/V valve riser pipe and is contained in a vault fluidly connected to the P/V valve riser pipe, the P/V valve locally venting in the vault, which is hermetically sealed to the P/V valve riser pipe.
Abstract: A sporting good implement, such as a hockey stick or ball bat, includes a main body. The main body may be formed from multiple layers of a structural material, such as a fiber-reinforced composite material. One or more microlattice structures may be positioned between layers of the structural material. One or more microlattice structures may additionally or alternatively be used to form the core of a sporting good implement, such as a hockey-stick blade. The microlattice structures improve the performance, strength, or feel of the sporting good implement.
Abstract: Ridehail seat reservation enforcement and user direction systems and methods are disclosed herein. An example method can include receiving a ridehail request that includes a seat selection of a first seat of a ridehail vehicle, the first seat being access through a first door of the ridehail vehicle, activating an external notification feature of the vehicle prior to a user entering the ridehail vehicle when the user attempts to enter the ridehail vehicle on a side of the vehicle associated with the first seat, and activating an internal notification feature of the ridehail vehicle when the user attempts to sit in a second seat that is not the first seat.

Abstract: A Satellite Radio Access Network includes a base station for communicating with standard compliant user equipment (UE) via a satellite having a field of view. A network broadcasting signal is provided via an inactive or access beam covering a plurality of cells in the field of view. An access request is detected from a user device, such as a smartphone, within an area covered by the inactive beam. In response to the access request, a beam is transitioned from inactive to active to provide network access to the user device. Once the user device is out of range, the active beam is transitioned back to an inactive beam. An inactivity timer is used to detect an idle active cell that should be transitioned to an inactive cell.
Abstract: A machine includes a motor; and a transmission to drive a knife plate. The knife plate includes a plurality of knife blades. The machine further includes a die plate. The knife plate and the die plate interface at a cutting edge of the knife plate. The machine cuts feed material from larger sized pieces to smaller pieces by forcing the material through the die plate and cutting it with the knife plate.
Abstract: A stamping machine configured to shape a sheet material including an upper binder including first teeth, a lower binder including second teeth, and a punch. A first cylinder is positioned between a lower binder and a support surface. A second cylinder is positioned between the upper binder and the lower binder. A cushion pin is positioned at the support surface that is configured to contact and control movement of the lower binder relative to the punch. A force exerted by the second cylinder is greater than that exerted by the first cylinder, and the force exerted by the cushion pin is greater than that exerted by the second cylinder. The first and second cylinders and the cushion pin are used to control when the first and second teeth are permitted to engage the sheet material, which assists in preventing or minimizing spring back of the sheet material through post-stretching.
