Abstract: A recyclable RFID device having one or more recoverable components configured to remain substantially intact during a waste recycling process. The one or more recoverable components comprises a RFID coupling strap and a substrate encapsulating the RFID coupling strap. A filtering system for recovering the recyclable RFID device from a waste stream is also disclosed, and comprises a waste collection container, a RFID device detection unit, and a RFID device diversion area. Additionally, a filtering system for recovering the recyclable RFID device during a waste recycling process is disclosed. The filtering system enables separating the recyclable RFID device from a packaging and detecting the separated components of the recyclable RFID device including the one or more recoverable components. The separated components including the RFID chip is then diverted from the waste stream for reuse.

  • Patent number: 12250408
Abstract: A method for video encoding includes determining that a current block in a first coding tree unit (CTU) of a current picture is to be coded using an affine model in a merge mode, and obtaining, from a line buffer, one or more motion vectors of blocks located at bottom locations in a second CTU above the current block. The line buffer only stores motion vectors of minimum-size blocks located at the bottom locations of the second CTU above the current block and the line buffer does not store (i) a block width or block height of the minimum-size blocks, (ii) affine control point information, and (iii) an affine flag. The method further includes deriving motion vectors of control points of the current block using the affine merge model, and encoding the current block based on the affine merge model and the motion vectors of the control points.

  • Patent number: 12249944
Abstract: Apparatus and techniques for analyzing a capacitance value in an electric motor inverter are disclosed. A processor is coupled to a DC-AC inverter, which includes a capacitor across its terminals and is powered by a battery. The processor performs resistor switching to enable singular, periodic measurement of the capacitance. The measured value is compared with a nominal or beginning of life (BOL) value. An alert may be sent if the capacitance has degraded beyond a threshold. In other aspects, the DC torque ripple envelop is used to measure capacitance. The outcome is compared with the other tests to assess consistency. An inconsistent outcome may identify potential resistor degradation.

  • Patent number: 12249345
Abstract: Implementations disclosed herein are directed to utilizing ephemeral learning techniques and/or federated learning techniques to update audio-based machine learning (ML) model(s) based on processing streams of audio data generated via radio station(s) across the world. This enables the audio-based ML model(s) to learn representations and/or understand languages across the world, including tail languages for which there is no/minimal audio data. In various implementations, one or more deduping techniques may be utilized to ensure the same stream of audio data is not overutilized in updating the audio-based ML model(s). In various implementations, a given client device may determine whether to employ an ephemeral learning technique or a federated learning technique based on, for instance, a connection status with a remote system. Generally, the streams of audio data are received at client devices, but the ephemeral learning techniques may be implemented at the client device and/or at the remote system.

  • Patent number: 12246411
Abstract: A fluid-driven dual-mode abrasive perforation tool which is selectively operable to switch between abrasive and neutral mode is disclosed. In the abrasive mode, jets of abrasive fluid are delivered on to perforate the target site. A ratchet path having mated peaks and valleys on the surface of a J-slot piston included in the tool is engaged with guiding pins. On longitudinal sliding of the piston due to guided inflow and interruption pressurized abrasive fluid through the tool, the guiding pins cause rotation of the piston. Rotation of the piston alternately aligns a pair of flow channels included in the piston with flow paths for ejecting jets of pressurized abrasive fluid and flow paths for non-abrasive ejection of pressurized fluid. When the pair of flow channels of the piston get aligned with flow paths for ejecting jets of pressurized abrasive fluid, the tool is operated in the abrasive mode.
