Abstract: A single-stage or multi-stage biological odor control treatment system for the removal of target vapor compounds from a contaminated air stream consisting of a first stage (onsite non-potable water treatment) where raw collection system non-potable water is extracted from the sewer collection system, screened and sprayed over a media bed where it is treated to secondary effluent water quality and is collected in a tank. The onsite non-potable water treatment system effluent is then pumped to the biological odor control system. This onsite non-potable water treatment system effluent is used for irrigating either a single media bed, or multiple media beds, which require continuous moisture and a source of nutrients. The microorganisms use the odorous compounds in the foul air stream as a food source. Treated air is then discharged to the atmosphere. The odor control treatment system drain water is then returned into the source containment collection point.

Abstract: A battery assessment station for an electric vehicle (EV) battery includes an impedance spectroscopy device that applies an electrical signal at a set of frequencies and measures the impedance response of the battery. A battery analyzer determines a battery parameter, such as remaining useful life or state-of-health, based on the impedance response. A fleet management system manages a fleet of EVs according to their determined battery parameters. For example, the fleet management system applies operational rules regarding the use or charging of the EVs in order to respond to battery degradation and improve battery life.
Abstract: A hair care appliance is provided. The hair care appliance includes a handle and a body coupled to the handle via a rotational hinge joint. The body can be movable via the rotational hinge joint between a straight configuration in which the body is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the handle and a bent configuration in which the body extends along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the handle. A fluid flow path extends between an inlet in the handle and an outlet in the body. The hair care appliance can be operated with minimal loss of fluid flow in either the straight configuration and the bent configuration. The hair care appliance includes a fan assembly in the handle and a heater assembly in the body that are positioned to create a balanced center of mass of the hair care appliance when operated by a user.

Abstract: A cooking system includes a housing having a hollow interior and a container disposable within the hollow interior and including a bottom surface. The container defines a container cavity for receiving food to be cooked. A support body is positionable within the hollow interior to support food. The support body is disposable within the container cavity. The container cavity includes a clearance area between a bottom of the support body and the bottom surface of the container. A heating element operably coupled to the support body.

Abstract: An apparatus for toning an exerciser's buttocks comprises, a base having a front end region and a rear end region; a seat guide; and a force-transmitting mechanism for supporting the seat guide on the base for guided movement under tension from a raised position, along an forward inclined trajectory in which the seat guide is continuously lowered in elevation to a lowered position. The exerciser sits on the seat guide and controls its downward and upward motion by tensioning and thereby exercising the users gluteus maximus, medius, and gluteus minimus muscles.
