  • Patent number: 11832700
Abstract: A hair care appliance is provided. The hair care appliance includes a handle and a body coupled to the handle via a rotational hinge joint. The body can be movable via the rotational hinge joint between a straight configuration in which the body is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the handle and a bent configuration in which the body extends along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the handle. A fluid flow path extends between an inlet in the handle and an outlet in the body. The hair care appliance can be operated with minimal loss of fluid flow in either the straight configuration and the bent configuration. The hair care appliance includes a fan assembly in the handle and a heater assembly in the body that are positioned to create a balanced center of mass of the hair care appliance when operated by a user.

  • Patent number: 11835959
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to an autonomous vehicle that may detect other nearby vehicles and designate stationary vehicles as being in one of a short-term stationary state or a long-term stationary state. This determination may be made based on various indicia, including visible indicia displayed by the detected vehicle and traffic control factors relating to the detected vehicle. For example, the autonomous vehicle may identify a detected vehicle as being in a long-term stationary state based on detection of hazard lights being displayed by the detected vehicle, as well as the absence of brake lights being displayed by the detected vehicle. The autonomous vehicle may then base its control strategy on the stationary state of the detected vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11833419
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for cloud gaming. In some examples, an apparatus for cloud gaming includes processing circuitry. For example, the processing circuitry receives a video sequence and metadata associated with the video sequence. The video sequence includes a sequence of picture frames generated in response to gaming control information, and the metadata is determined based on the gaming control information. The processing circuitry can determine, based on the metadata, an encoding configuration for encoding the video sequence. Then the processing circuitry encodes, based on the encoding configuration, the video sequence into a coded video bitstream.

  • Patent number: 11834760
Abstract: An end fray resistant textile sleeve includes an elongate wall having warp yarns extending generally parallel to a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve and fill yarns extending circumferentially about the sleeve. The warp yarns include at least two different types of yarns, with one of the types of warp yarns including activateable yarns and another of the types of yarns including non-activateable yarns. The activateable yarns can be provided as being activateable by at least one of heat, fluid and/or pressure, such that upon being activated, the yarns are caused to bond with the adjacent non-activateable warp yarns, as well as with the weft yarns with which they make contact. As such, the activateable yarns, upon being activated, become fixed with abutting warp yarns and weft yarns, thereby inhibiting end fray from resulting during a subsequent cold-cutting operation as well as in use.

  • Patent number: 11838591
Abstract: Methods and systems are proposed herein to address the inefficiencies in the recommendation schemes available. More specifically, the embodiments disclosed herein provide a new recommendation scheme, whereby a user enters various criteria for what he/she would like to be recommended. For example, the system may receive a user preference for content recommendations from a user. The system may retrieve a user profile for the user. The system may compare the user preference to the user profile to determine a criterion for content recommendations for the user. The system may receive a content attribute for content provided by a content provider. The system may match the criterion to the content attribute. The system may, in response to matching the criterion to the content attribute, generate for display a recommendation to the user for the content.
