Abstract: A building includes a podium level steel transfer structure configured to receive vertical loads and lateral loads from upper portions of the building. The building may be a low-rise building or a mid-rise building. The podium level steel transfer structure may be at least partially pre-constructed such that final assembly may occur at a job site with reduced skilled labor. Transverse members of the podium level steel transfer structure may include engagement features extending vertically therefrom, and configured to align, engage, and retain at least one interior demising wall and at least one exterior wall in an orthogonal relationship through multiple fasteners. The engagement features may include a steel member with a trapezoidal profile having one or more angular notches, one or more captive fasteners, and at least one alignment hole.

Abstract: A method for registering a handler in a configured sequence of handlers includes: receiving, by a processor and memory implementing a sequencer infrastructure, a configuration script defining a sequence including one or more handler identifiers and corresponding one or more handler arguments; invoking a handler initialization entry point for a handler corresponding to a handler identifier, the invoking the handler initialization entry point including: selecting, based on the corresponding one or more handler arguments, a handler type from among two or more of: a configured instance of the handler; a configured alternate handler different from the handler; an alternate sequence of handlers; an expression; and a no-op handler; and initializing a configured handler based on the handler type selected and the corresponding one or more handler arguments; and adding the configured handler to a configured sequence of handlers.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system for optimizing a trial of software product within a budget. In particular, the disclosed technology estimates a resource value of product acquisition for a product and determines a trial budget for the product. A software provider offers the first trial of the product to the user for a first trial period based on the trial budget and a resource cost associated with providing the product and collects data associated with the first trial of the product. In response to the first trial not resulting in the product acquisition, a subsequent trial optimizer uses a model for evaluating the collected data and determines a parameter for optimizing a second trial of the product for the user within a remaining trial budget. Based on the at least one parameter, the system offers the second trial of the product to the user.

Abstract: A system includes a first microphone that captures audio, a communication module communicatively coupled to the first microphone, a logic circuit communicatively coupled to the first microphone and communication module, a speaker operatively coupled to the logic circuit, and an interaction element. The interaction element and logic circuit are configured to initiate control of audio content for output from the speaker in response to at least one voice command detected in captured audio. Abstract: This document discloses a process for manufacturing recyclable injection molded microcellular foams for use in, footwear components, seating components, protective gear components, and watersport accessories. The process includes the steps of providing a thermoplastic polymer which comprises at least one monomer derived from depolymerized post-consumer plastic, inserting a fluid into a barrel of a molding apparatus. The fluid is introduced under temperature and pressure conditions to produce a super critical fluid. The process further includes mixing the thermoplastic polymer and super critical fluid so as to create a single phase solution, and injecting the single phase solution into a mold of an injection molding machine under gas counter pressure. The process further includes foaming the single phase solution by controlling the head and temperature conditions within the mold.

Abstract: A video wall and system is disclosed having a computer with a memory or access to a public or private cloud containing a video file and a processor for executing the video file and a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) tiles interconnected to one another and to the computer via wired or wireless transmission, each of the plurality of LED tiles configured to work together to display a video content generated from the video file that extends across all of the plurality of LED tiles. Upon user interaction or detection of a user, one or more of the plurality of LED tiles seamlessly transitions away from the video content to display a separate video content for interaction with the user.

Abstract: The present invention provides a modified formula to make a hydrophilic foam. In some embodiments this modified formula adds a filler which causes the foam to become less absorptive, which has the benefit of making available to the skin more makeup or other products, while also providing a superior esthetic application of makeup on the skin. In other embodiments the modified formula makes the hydrophilic foam easier to clean and reduces the staining propensity of the foam. In other embodiments the modified formula uses an additive to the properties or usability of the foam in some way. Providing the filler and additive can be done in combination or separately depending on the desired benefits or properties of the foam. In some embodiments the foam is fashioned into a shape suitable for makeup application.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides embodiments of a tetrapolymer composition. In embodiments, the tetrapolymer composition may have the formula E/P/X/CO, which may include from 25 wt. % to 90 wt. % of ethylene (E), from 0.1 wt. % to 5.0 wt. % of propylene (P), from 5 wt. % to 40 wt. % of alkyl acrylate (X), and from 3 wt. % to 30 wt. % of carbon monoxide (CO). X may be selected from the group consisting of vinyl acetate or n-butyl acrylate. The tetrapolymer composition may have a melt index, 12, from 10 to 1,000 g/10 min when measured according to ASTM 1238 at 2.16 kg and 190 C. Additionally, the present disclosure provides embodiments of a polymer formulation comprising the tetrapolymer composition and polyvinyl chloride.

Abstract: A method of generating an outcome for a sporting event is disclosed herein. A computing system retrieves tracking data from a data store. The computing system generates a predictive model using a deep neural network. The one or more neural networks of the deep neural network generates one or more embeddings comprising team-specific information and agent-specific information based on the tracking data. The computing system selects, from the tracking data, one or more features related to a current context of the sporting event. The computing system learns, by the deep neural network, one or more likely outcomes of one or more sporting events. The computing system receives a pre-match lineup for the sporting event. The computing system generates, via the predictive model, a likely outcome of the sporting event based on historical information of each agent for the home team, each agent for the away team, and team-specific features.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for managing thermal energy of an electric aircraft energy source. Apparatus may include fins, which extend from a skin of electric aircraft. The energy source may bias or be adjacent to the fins so that heat energy may dissipate from the energy source and through the fins and, thus, the skin. A coolant may also be run through the apparatus, where the coolant may flow through channels that are disposed between the fins.

Abstract: A light emitting apparatus includes a light source, a unitary formed heat sink with a plurality of heat dissipating fins, a lensed enclosure that retains a light source and at least one power consuming device other than the light source. The lensed enclosure includes a recessed opening having at least a first wall that terminates at a substantially perpendicular second wall. The plurality of heat dissipating fins are disposed on at least one adjacent exterior side of the walled enclosure, the fins extending outwardly. At least one fin coupled to the heat sink extends beyond the light source, and the heat generated by the light source travels by conduction laterally through the heat sink to the at least one coupled fin.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for notifying users of content creation related to existing content expertise. In examples, content associated with a data domain is evaluated to determine the topics associated with the content. User activity for the data domain is monitored to determine user knowledge levels on various topics. User collaboration circles are determined based on interactions between users. When new content is detected, topics in the new content are evaluated and users having knowledge on the topics are identified based on the determined knowledge levels. The users having knowledge on the topics are ranked based in part on their collaboration circles. At least a portion of the ranked users having knowledge on the topics are notified of the new content creation and/or the users creating the new content are notified of the ranked users having knowledge on the topics.

Abstract: The lighting device may be configured to perform black body curve fading. For example, the control circuit may be configured to control the drive circuit such that the light emitted by the lighting load is adjusted (e.g., faded) along a black body curve. The control circuit may be configured to determine whether to fade from an initial color to a destination color in a Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) chromaticity space or an XY chromaticity space. The control circuit may be configured to determine whether the initial color and/or the destination color are on the black body curve. When the initial color and the destination color are determined to be on the black body curve, the control circuit may be configured to control the drive circuit such that the light emitted by the lighting device is adjusted from the initial color to the destination color along the black body curve.

The tester includes a database of testing specifications for electrical components, a tester connector for physically and electrically connecting to different electrical components, and an output device. The tester identifies an electrical component connected to the tester connector and provide corresponding identification data, retrieves a testing specification from the database using the identification data, commands a test of the electrical component according to the testing specification, and outputs an indication of a result of the test through the output device.

Abstract: This disclosure describes an apparatus and method of an embodiment of an invention that is custom audio puzzle. This embodiment of the apparatus includes: an audio board 306 with a processor, memory, and storage; switches 308 used as triggers to play selected custom audio files; an audio speaker 312; a power supply 304; communications circuitry to upload audio files to the processor, memory, and storage; software to allow the user to easily tie the audio files to the various switches used as triggers.
