Abstract: There is provided an apparatus that includes communication circuitry for receiving information indicative of quality of a wireless downlink connection. Scheduling circuitry determines a subset of downlink resource blocks allocated to the wireless downlink connection based on the quality of the wireless downlink connection and a spectrum distribution of power across the downlink resource blocks. Power control circuitry allocates a budget of the power to the subset of downlink resource blocks according to the spectrum distribution of the power. The spectrum distribution of the power is non-uniform across the downlink resource blocks.

Abstract: The lighting device may be configured to perform black body curve fading. For example, the control circuit may be configured to control the drive circuit such that the light emitted by the lighting load is adjusted (e.g., faded) along a black body curve. The control circuit may be configured to determine whether to fade from an initial color to a destination color in a Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) chromaticity space or an XY chromaticity space. The control circuit may be configured to determine whether the initial color and/or the destination color are on the black body curve. When the initial color and the destination color are determined to be on the black body curve, the control circuit may be configured to control the drive circuit such that the light emitted by the lighting device is adjusted from the initial color to the destination color along the black body curve.

Abstract: A method for adapting hotword recognition includes receiving audio data characterizing a hotword event detected by a first stage hotword detector in streaming audio captured by a user device. The method also includes processing, using a second stage hotword detector, the audio data to determine whether a hotword is detected by the second stage hotword detector in a first segment of the audio data. When the hotword is not detected by the second stage hotword detector, the method includes, classifying the first segment of the audio data as containing a negative hotword that caused a false detection of the hotword event in the streaming audio by the first stage hotword detector. Based on the first segment of the audio data classified as containing the negative hotword, the method includes updating the first stage hotword detector to prevent triggering the hotword event in subsequent audio data that contains the negative hotword.

Abstract: Techniques for visual feature based video effects are described and are implementable to determine one or more visual features associated with an individual and generate a modified video feed based on the visual features. The described implementations enable automatic focus of a video feed to a particular focal region based on facial features of the individual. For instance, a visual feature such as pupillary distance or pupil size is determined from a video feed. A focal distance is calculated based on the visual feature, e.g., indicating a region that the individual is focused on. A modified video stream is then generated based on the focal distance, for instance to focus the video stream to a specific focal plane.
