Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for providing devices access to wireless base stations. An exemplary method embodiment includes the steps of: receiving over the air at a wireless base station a plurality of random access preamble signals from a plurality of devices; and determining, by the wireless base station, the order in which to respond to the received random access preamble signals based on an access priority list. The access priority list being determined based on customer premises equipment devices characteristics, attributes and/or properties.

Abstract: The application describes a watch band and methods of manufacture and use thereof. In various embodiments, the watch band includes a first portion and a second portion continuous with the first portion. The first portion can be made of a first material and be adapted to be located directly under a back of a watch case. The second portion can include a series of rigid links formed from a second material that is different than the first material. The second portion can be adapted to wrap around the wrist of a user. In various embodiments, the watch band can feature offset links to enable the watch band to curl around a user's wrist while maintaining the watch case at a low profile above the first portion. In some cases, the watch band can include a detachment mechanism remote from where the watch band attaches to the watch case.

Abstract: A system for propagating an identity state change set about shared identities may include a plurality of systems of record (SORs), and a management server cooperating with the plurality of SORs and configured to: detect discrete Create-Retrieve-Update-Delete (CRUD) operations on a given SOR related to at least one shared identity to generate an identity state change set corresponding to a current state of the at least one shared identity; transact the identity state change set, with associated metadata, to a distributed immutable long-term storage as a current transaction; propagate the identity state change set and associated metadata to replicate a current state of the at least one shared identity as of the current transaction to at least one domain cache instance, and; synchronize the current state of the at least one shared identity across the plurality of SORs from the at least one domain cache instance.

Abstract: A wireless device receives one or more configuration parameters indicating a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for uplink transmissions. The wireless device transmits, for a random access procedure, a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission with a spatial filter. The wireless device receives a medium access control control element (MAC CE) indicating activation of more than one TCI states of the plurality of TCI states. The wireless device transmits, with the spatial filter used during the random access procedure, one or more uplink signals before receiving a downlink control information (DCI) indicating a TCI state from the more than one TCI states.

Abstract: System and method for establishing a virtual access point (vPA) is described. A wireless network includes a router to provide access to external networks, physical access points (pAPs) to provide radio communications access to a user device, and a controller to form a vPA by layer two link aggregating the pAPs using access point and configuration information and send a virtual service set identifier (vSSID) to the pAPs. The vAP having a layer two data plane and control plane. The vAP provides a wireless coverage area equivalent to the pAPs using the vSSID, enable a user device to connect to the data plane via a data link, connect to the control place via layer two control links, and radio frequency connect to the pAPs. The controller and the pAPs configured to manage user data traffic flow between the router and the user device via the control and the data planes.

Abstract: An electric toothbrush is disclosed, having a handle including a drive motor and a head portion removably coupled to the handle. The head portion includes a brush, an exit port fed by an internal irrigation lumen, and a drive shaft operatively connecting the drive motor to the brush. A disposable irrigant reservoir is removably coupled directly to the head portion. The irrigant reservoir is in fluid communication with the internal irrigation lumen of the head portion. The head portion is configured to be replaceable with respect to the handle, and the irrigant reservoir is configured to be replaceable independent of the head portion. In some examples, the irrigant reservoir is a disposable bulb (e.g., a capsule), and is positioned such that the user can hold the handle while also squeezing the reservoir with the same hand. In some examples, the toothbrush head includes a suction mechanism.

Abstract: A punch according to some embodiments of the disclosure includes a body having a punching edge and a wall forming a passageway therethrough, the wall having a multi-start thread formed thereon, and a draw stud according to some embodiments of the disclosure includes an elongated cylinder having a multi-start thread thereon which is configured to be coupled to the multi-start thread of the punch. The number of starts provided on the punch corresponds to the number of starts provided on the draw stud. The multi-start thread on the punch is engaged with the multi-start thread on the draw stud in use. A method using same to punch a hole in sheet metal is also provided.

Abstract: A method for editing an audio stream includes recording and storing an audio stream having a first audio segment and a second audio segment. The method includes receiving a request to edit the second audio segment and processing the audio stream to identify a first pause segment defining a period of silence from an end of the first audio segment to a start of the second audio segment. Further, the method includes determining the second audio segment as a segment beginning at an end of the first pause segment and terminating either at an end of the audio stream or at a beginning of a second pause segment recorded in succession to the second audio segment, obtaining a third audio segment including a revised version of the second audio segment, and replacing the second audio segment with the third audio segment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are provided, for generating video anchors for a video. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining key moment identifiers for a video, where each key moment identifier includes a time index value specifying a playback time in the video, and is indicative subject matter of the video that has been determined to meet one or more interest criteria that define salient topics within the video. For each key moment identifier, a video anchor is generated, where each video anchor indicates a playback time for the video, and may include an image of a frame that occurs near the playback time. Upon a selection of the video anchor by the user, an instruction in the video anchor causes a video player to begin playback of the video at the playback time specified by the video anchor.

Abstract: The disclosure includes various keypad features, buttons, labels, shapes, sizes, format and materials. The system may comprise a processor; a keypad in communication with the processor and configured for controlling a window shade; capacitive or physical buttons on the keypad, wherein one of the capacitive buttons may be configured to set the window shade to a preset position; a proximity sensor; and a communication card. The processor may determine an override pattern to return the window shade to an automatic mode after a period of time from an override request. The capacitive buttons may include haptic feedback or visual feedback. The system may also include a scheduler and/or receive weather conditions. The system may also include an ambient light sensor.

Abstract: Various systems are provided for a single turbocharger case housing each of turbine of a turbocharger and a bearing of the turbocharger. In one example, an apparatus for an engine includes an integrated, monolithic turbocharger case that houses each of a turbine and a bearing of a turbocharger and a nozzle ring integrated into the turbocharger case between the turbine and the bearing. In further examples of the system, portions of the turbocharger case are formed of a lattice structure.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a multi-reel skill-based redemption game. An indication of a user desire to participate in the skill-based redemption game is received. The user's account balance is decreased, and simulated reels are spun. Adjustment arrows are displayed for a subset of the plurality of simulated reels. The player selects a simulated reel and a direction of adjustment for the simulated reel. If the player's adjustment creates a winning pattern, the user is rewarded with an increased account balance. The user may also be provided a bonus amount for achieving a number of consecutive wins.

Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for servicing a video conference by a media control device. The media control device may receive a first signal including a first audio component from a first device and a second signal including a second audio component from a second device. The media device may identify at least a first timestamp of the first signal and at least a first timestamp of the second signal. The media device may assign a common timestamp to the first signal and the second signal and modify the first signal and/or the second signal based, at least in part, on the common timestamp. The media device may send the modified first signal and/or the modified second signal to at least one recipient device.
