Abstract: Systems and methods for providing personalized media content by a personalized media content delivery system are disclosed. One method includes identifying a user of an information handling device associated with the personalized media content delivery system utilizing user identification data. A user profile that is associated with the identified user may then be accessed. The user profile may contain one or more content viewing preferences of the user. One or more articles of media content stored in a content database associated with the user's content viewing preferences may be determined. A personalized media stream containing these articles of media content may then be assembled and subsequently provided to the user on a digital channel of an application platform running on the information handling device.

Abstract: Users are most likely to search for documents “around” them, such as documents which are created, read, or modified by other users they work closely or collaborate with, documents on sites the user frequents, and/or documents trending around them, in addition to documents they've created or interacted with themselves. Therefore, embodiments are directed to relevance ranking of query results based on external context. A search service may receive a query and an external context list, determine a relevance value for each entry in the external context list, and perform the query, where a search index comprising items may be returned in response to performance of the query. The search service may then match entries in the external context list against associated properties of the items, compute a score for the items based on the matching, and rank results of the query based on the score computed for the items.

Abstract: The invention relates to methods for capturing a polynucleotide comprising a DNA target segment from a population of polynucleotide molecules using a rotation of a magnetic field to move streptavidin-labeled magnetic beads relative to a buffered liquid medium to increase the probability of capturing and preventing damage to a long polynucleotide comprising a DNA target segment. The methods may use a rotation of the magnetic field relative to the mixture or a rotation of the mixture relative to the magnetic field for causing magnetic bead rotation in the buffered liquid medium and increasing the binding of biotinylated nucleotides of an extended polynucleotide primer to streptavidin-labeled magnetic beads, and winding or condensation of a polynucleotide onto the streptavidin-labeled magnetic beads to prevent damage to the long polynucleotide comprising a DNA target segment.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for detection of unauthorized encryption using one or more deduplication efficiency metrics. One method comprises obtaining a deduplication efficiency value for a deduplication operation in a storage system; evaluating the deduplication efficiency value for the deduplication operation relative to an expected deduplication efficiency value; and performing one or more automated remedial actions, such as generating an alert notification, in response to the evaluating satisfying one or more deduplication criteria. A count of a number of concurrent users may be compared to an expected number of concurrent users, and/or (ii) a count of a number of concurrent sessions for a given user may be compared to an expected number of concurrent sessions for the given user. A ransomware alert or an unauthorized encryption alert may be generated when the evaluating and/or the comparison satisfy predefined attack criteria.

In various implementations, a free-form natural language input may be received from a first user and may include a request for information pertaining to a second user. Multiple data sources may be identified that are accessible by an automated assistant to retrieve data associated with the second user. The multiple data sources may collectively include sufficient data to formulate a natural language response to the request. Respective privacy scores associated with the multiple data sources may be used to determine an aggregate privacy score associated with responding to the request. The natural language response may then be output at a client device operated by the first user in response to a determination that the aggregate privacy score associated with the natural language response satisfies a privacy criterion established for the second user with respect to the first user.

Abstract: The disclosure herein describes an emotional insight management system that provides user-configured prompts and insights to the user. In some examples, an insights application provides personalized, recurring prompts to encourage users to provide current emotional state updates to a well-being journal. The user's responses over time are aggregated within a historical trends report, which provides emotional response data over time. The insights application generates insights into potential reasons for the user's emotional states on a given day. The system analyzes the user-provided emotion response data with integrated work-related data to identify reasons for the user's mood and make recommendations for actions to be taken by users to reduce stress and improve the user's emotional well-being.

The first type of information may be processed and stored in a different database as compared to the second type of information. The database storing the first type of information may have a higher security standard than the database storing second type of information.

Abstract: A process and related assemblies for delivering slush through a tube towards a patient. Obtaining an elongated container partially filled with slush with a port end that has a first port and a second port. Placing the first port in fluid communication with tubing for delivery of slush towards the patient. Placing the second port in fluid communication with a source of gas which may be air. Subjecting the elongated container to automated repetitive movements so that the slush in the partially filled elongated container moves against interior surfaces within the elongated container. Ideally, two different forms of repetitive motion are used to impose complex movement upon the slush within the elongated container. Applying a pressure gradient to cause slush to flow out of the first port towards the patient. The elongated container may be made from a slush bottle with a reversibly engaged cap with the two ports.
