Abstract: An encoder includes circuitry configured to receive a video, determine a plurality of long-term reference frames, determine a long-term reference retention time, and encode the video into a bitstream including the determined plurality of long-term reference fames and the determined retention time. Abstract: Implementations can receive audio data corresponding to a spoken utterance of a user, process the audio data to generate a plurality of speech hypotheses, determine an action to be performed by an automated assistant based on the speech hypotheses, and cause the computing device to render an indication of the action. In response to the computing device rendering the indication, implementations can receive additional audio data corresponding to an additional spoken utterance of the user, process the additional audio data to determine that a portion of the spoken utterance is similar to an additional portion of the additional spoken utterance, supplant the action with an alternate action, and cause the automated assistant to initiate performance of the alternate action. Some implementations can determine whether to render the indication of the action based on a confidence level associated with the action.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for providing media guidance with contextual controls are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: causing a user interface to be presented that includes media interface elements, wherein each of the media interface elements is a selectable object that represents at least one media content item; determining that a media interface element from the media interface elements has been selected; in response to determining that the media interface element has been selected, causing the at least one media content item corresponding to the selected media interface element to be presented in a portion of the user interface; and concurrently with causing the at least one media content item to be presented, causing a control interface to be presented that is associated with the selected media interface element.

Abstract: A hydrocarbon control system includes a base device, a field device, and a mobile device. The base device includes a key generator configured to generate a temporary key. The field device is configured to restrict or allow access based on verification of a received key. The mobile device is configured to communicate with the base device to receive the temporary key when in proximity of the base device, communicate with the field device to provide the temporary key to the field device when in proximity of the field device, and exchange data with the field device in response to the field device verifying the temporary key.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method comprises determining, in received yield data, one or more passes, each pass including a plurality of observations. For each pass of the one or more passes, one or more discrete derivatives are determined, and based on the one or more discrete derivatives first outlier data is generated. First filtered data is generated by removing the first outlier data from the yield data. Furthermore, for each observation in the yield data, a plurality of nearest neighbor observations is determined, and used to determine a plurality of absolute differences in yield values. Based on the plurality of absolute differences, second outlier data is determined. Second filtered data is generated by removing the second outlier data from the first filtered data. Using a presentation layer of a computer system, a graphical representation of the second filtered data is generated and displayed on the computing system.

The control device may be configured to control one or more lighting loads in response to the respective positions of the multi-position switches of the three-way screw-in socket. The lighting loads may include a lighting load that is integral with the control device, a lighting load that is installed in a threaded receptacle of the control device, and/or one or more lighting loads controlled by respective devices that are associated with the control device. The control device may include a wireless communication circuit that is configured to transmit messages in response to operation of the multi-position switches into respective positions. The control device may be configured to control the lighting loads in response to messages received at the wireless communication circuit.

The hydraulic arrangement includes a priority valve configured to divide the flow of fluid between the hydraulic units. The priority valve and source are hydraulically controlled by a first hydraulic load sensing signal resulting as the greatest of a plurality of hydraulic load pressure signals taken from the hydraulic unit. The hydraulic arrangement also includes a conversion unit configured to transform an electronic load sensing signal of at least one of the hydraulic units in an equivalent hydraulic load sensing signal so as to define the first hydraulic load sensing signal.

Abstract: A layer 2 (L2) modem provides traffic handling for low latency (LL) traffic. A filter is selected from an application traffic filter list. The filter determines LL traffic that is received and uses a DSC messaging process is used add a classifier for directing the LL traffic to the LL SF. If LL traffic associated with an LL traffic filter of the classifier begins to buildup in a queue, the LL traffic filter is removed from the classifier. This information is provided to a LL controller server that refines the application traffic filter list used to create the classifier. When LL traffic has not been received for a predetermined time, the classifier is removed. Once LL traffic is again detected by the L2 modem filters, a classifier is again added.

Abstract: A reception method and apparatus for use in a multi-cell orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) wireless system. In a unicast receive mode during a first receive time period, a first group of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols is received by a mobile device from multiple of a plurality of antennas at a serving base station. In a single-frequency-network (SFN) receive mode during a second receive time period, a second group of OFDM symbols is received by the mobile device from one of a plurality of antennas at the serving base station. The transition between the first receive time period and the second receive time period occurs during a cyclic prefix or a cyclic postfix between OFDM symbols, and the plurality of antennas produce a first beam pattern during the unicast receive mode and a second beam pattern during the SFN receive mode.

Abstract: A technique for data reconstruction includes determining a plurality of types of data stored in a storage disk; determining an order in which data reconstruction is to be performed on the plurality of types of data based on corresponding likelihoods that the plurality of types of data are expected to be accessed; and performing the data reconstruction on the plurality of types of data in the determined order. Such a technique can improve system performance during data reconstruction and reduce the access delay.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments for providing batch performance using a stream processor. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising completing a first audit for a primary event type, the first audit generating a set of primary events and completing a second audit for a secondary event type, the second audit generating a draft set of secondary events and an auxiliary feed of un-joined secondary events. The method then performs a join audit check on the auxiliary feed of un-joined secondary events and a set of flags, each flag in the set of flags indicating that a respective un-joined secondary event was properly joined. Based on the results of the join audit check, the method replays a subset of the un-joined secondary events in the auxiliary feed upon determining that the join audit check failed.

A gate-controlled semiconductor device includes a first plurality of cells of the semiconductor device configured to be controlled by a primary gate, and a second plurality of cells of the semiconductor device configured to be controlled by an auxiliary gate. Abstract: A database system operates by: receiving a user-generated secondary indexing hint data for a dataset from a client device, wherein the client device generated the user-generated hint data based on user input in response to at least one prompt displayed by an interactive interface displayed via a display device of the client device; generating a plurality of segments that each include distinct subsets of a plurality of rows of a dataset; automatically selecting, for each of the plurality of segments, a secondary indexing scheme from a plurality of secondary indexing options based on the user-provided secondary indexing hint data; generating a plurality of secondary indexes for each of the plurality of segments in accordance with the corresponding secondary indexing scheme; and storing the plurality of segments and the plurality of secondary indexes in memory.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for machine learning. A check is performed on a level of available bidding currency for bidding a training sample that is used to train a model via machine learning. A bid in an amount within the available bidding currency is sent, to a source of the training sample, for the training sample. The training sample is received from the source when the bid is successful. A prediction is then generated in accordance with the training sample based on one or more parameters associated with the model and is sent to the source.
