Abstract: A frictionally-retained detachable dental attachment assembly or anchor device is designed to attach a dental appliance with a tooth root or implant. The assembly includes a denture attachment housing for securing in the dental appliance, an abutment attached with a tooth root or implant, and a compressible retention member with a first end in fixed attachment with the cap and a second end in snap engagement with the abutment via a frictionally-retained ball secured within a cavity of the abutment. The retention member is formed using a compressible material to allow the ball to compress and the retention member to flex while inserting the ball into the cavity. Additional friction-retained and fixed attachment configurations of the dental anchor device are provided, along with methods of securing a dental appliance in a subject's mouth by means of the friction-retained and fixed attachment dental anchor devices.

Abstract: A sealing assembly for installation on a port of a spring brake actuator includes a plug, a one-way valve and a cap. The plug receives the one-way valve for providing one-way air flow through the orifices and maintaining about two psi in the spring brake chamber at zero stroke. An elastomeric piece is affixed to a first set of segments of the plug for sealing against an inner surface of the port. The cap has arms sized to extend around a third set of segments of the plug and snap onto the plug. A fourth set of segments of the plug elastically deform so the sealing assembly can be installed and removed from the port easily.

Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to automatically balance and buffer the return of empty containers or other totes to a plurality of areas. In some embodiments, a control circuit employs a logic system in which empty totes are directed along primary, secondary, or tertiary paths depending on information gathered from sensors regarding the availability of space for empty totes at a plurality of potential destinations. In this way, the return of empty totes to one or more points of origin may be buffered to balance the number of empty totes in one or more areas.

Abstract: In a computing system, data is ingested into a primary row of shards in a stamp data structure. The stamp data structure includes a primary row of data shards and a set of replica rows of data shards so the data shards are arranged in rows and columns in the stamp structure. The ingested data is replicated from the primary row into the replica rows of data shards. Each of the data shards, in each row, is evaluated to identify a particular data shard in each column of shards to generate a logical row of data shards. Queries against the data shards are serviced from the logical row of data shards. The system dynamically controls expansion and contraction of the number of data shards in a row and of the number of replica rows.
Abstract: A method for training and using a machine-learning based model to reduce and troubleshoot incidents in a system may include receiving first metadata regarding a previous modification, extracting a first feature from the received first metadata, receiving second metadata regarding a previous incident, extracting a second feature from the received second metadata, training the machine-learning based model to learn an association between the previous modification and the previous incident, based on the extracted first feature and the extracted second feature, and using the machine-learning based model to determine a risk level for a proposed modification to a system.

Abstract: A motion-based push activation power assist system for manual wheelchairs. The system uses motion-based measurements to determine when the user applies a push to the wheelchair handrims and brakes with the handrims. The push recognition activates a drive system that provides an assistive driving force-pulse to the wheelchair to reduce the demand on the user during propulsion. The brake recognition deactivates the power assist. The provided power assist is proportional to the sensed push and can be modulated to different proportional settings.
