Abstract: In some embodiments, a method uses a first list of ranked entities to determine a first ordering of entities in slots of an electronic programming guide. Information is outputted to display at least a portion of the first ordering of entities in slots of the electronic programming guide. The method determines when a refresh of the electronic programming guide should be performed. When it is determined that the refresh should be performed, if a second list of ranked entities is available: the method uses the second list of ranked entities to determine a second ordering of entities in slots of an electronic programming guide and outputs information to display at least a portion of the second ordering of entities in slots of the electronic programming guide to update the electronic programming guide for the refresh.

Abstract: A monitoring system can include an earpiece, a database with stored earpiece characteristics data, and a microphone to receive a plurality of signals where each signal of the plurality of signals can represents a respective sound pressure level of sound pressure values over a time duration. The system can also include a processor and a memory coupled processor, the memory having computer instructions which when executed by the processor causes the processor to perform the operations. The operations can include determining exposure time duration when a signal of the plurality of signals exceeds a sound pressure level threshold value, retrieving a subset of data of the stored earpiece characteristics data, and modifying an acoustic output of the earpiece in accordance with the subset of data of the stored earpiece characteristics data.
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for storing incomplete dialog sessions between a user and an automated assistant in order that the dialog sessions can be completed in furtherance of certain actions. While interacting with an automated assistant, a user can become distracted and not complete the interaction to the point of the automated assistant performing some action. In response, the automated assistant can store the interaction as a dialog session. Subsequently, the user may express interest, directly or indirectly, in completing the dialog session, and the automated assistant can provide the user with a selectable element that, when selected, causes the dialog session to be reopened. The user can then continue the dialog session with the automated assistant in order that the originally intended action can be performed by the automated assistant.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to arranging a pickup between a driverless vehicle and a passenger. For instance, dispatch instructions dispatching the vehicle to a predetermined pickup area in order to pick up the passenger are received by the vehicle which begins maneuvering to the predetermined pickup area. While doing so, the vehicle receives from the passenger's client computing device the device's location. An indication that the passenger is interested in a fly-by pickup is identified. The fly-by pickup allows the passenger to safely enter the vehicle at a location outside of the predetermined pickup area and prior to the one or more processors have maneuvered the vehicle to the predetermined pickup area. The vehicle determines that the fly-by pickup is appropriate based on at least the location of the client computing device and the indication, and based on the determination, maneuvers itself in order to attempt the fly-by pickup.

Further, the method can comprise, based on the feedback information and the location, generating a model of signal propagation applicable to signals at the location.

Abstract: An improved slingshot band having a tapered outer contour. The slingshot band has a tubular body having a first fork end and a second pouch end. The tubular body comprises a first layer of an elastic polymer. The first layer has a constant thickness. The tubular body further comprises a second layer of an elastic polymer. The second layer has a greater thickness near the fork end of the tubular body and lower thickness near the pouch end of the tubular body. The increased thickness of the section of the tubular body near the fork end of the slingshot band reinforces the most vulnerable section of the slingshot band against failure, thereby extending its longevity.
Abstract: Implementations of a method of designing a module semiconductor product may include receiving a selection of a module type, one or more die, a placement of one or more wires, clips, or pins; and generating, using a processor, a module configuration file. The method may include generating a module bonding diagram using a build diagram system module; selecting one or more SPICE models corresponding with the die; and generating a product SPICE model and a three dimensional model for the module semiconductor product. The method may include generating one or more datasheet characteristics of the module semiconductor product with at least the product SPICE model and the product simulation module, generating a product datasheet for the module semiconductor product using the datasheet formation module, and providing access to at least the module bonding diagram, the product SPICE model, the three dimensional model, and the product datasheet to the user.

Some aspects provide a power supply system comprising a first power supply and a plurality of second power supplies configured to be installed in a rack shelf. Each of the plurality of second power supplies is configured to receive a first power signal from the first power supply and provide a second power signal to a respective remote radio head from a plurality of remote radio heads, and at least first inputs to each of the plurality of second power supplies may be ganged together.
Abstract: A device comprising a spiral building having greenhouse enclosures mounted thereon. The greenhouse enclosures include an interior growing area and at least one slanted glass surface having a reflective surface. The at least one slanted glass surface is disposed over a growing tray which is orientated towards perpendicular rays of the sun, when the sun is at an equinox. The reflective surface of the at least one slanted glass surface is reversed from its normal orientation such that the reflective surface is disposed on an inside of the at least one slanted glass surface, thus reflecting light admitted through the at least one slanted glass surface and directing the light to parts of the interior growing area.
Abstract: Described are a method, system, and computer program product for accessing data about a caller from multiple data sources in real time. The method includes communicatively connecting with call handling equipment and receiving caller data including a unique caller identifier. The method also includes communicating a request for initial information to a location information database and/or an additional data repository. The method further includes reconfiguring the initial information from an inbound format to a different outbound format such that the initial information is readable by the call handling equipment, a computer aided dispatch system, and/or a public safety information management system. The method further includes communicating a request for and receiving additional information from a cloud-based repository.

Abstract: A headset for augmented reality applications is provided. The headset includes at least one eyepiece configured to provide a see-through image to a user via a transparent optical component, and to provide an artificial image through a display, and a dimming shutter configured to adjust a transparency level of the transparent optical component. The dimming shutter further includes an active liquid crystal layer configured to adjust a transparency level according to an electrical power provided between two electrodes, and a photoactive layer configured to adjust the transparency level upon absorption of an ultraviolet radiation for a selected period of time. A default orientation of a host material in the active liquid crystal layer may be in a dark state or in a clear state, when no electrical power is provided. A method and a memory storing instructions to execute the method for use of the above device are also provided.
Abstract: A latch assembly connected to the drive unit of a bi-fold door for retaining the bi-fold door secure to a building has elongated straps attached to rotatable latch drums mounted on the outer ends of the drive shaft of the drive unit. Lift drums powered by a motor driven gearbox raise and lower the bi-fold door. Latch assemblies having springs attached to the straps maintain tension on the straps during the opening and closing of the bi-fold door.
Abstract: A fluid sampler system includes a fluidic head including a gas aperture capable of communication with a pressurized gas source, a liquid conduit capable of communication with a sample reservoir, and a seal capable of forming a compression seal to the sample reservoir when gas pressure is applied to the sample reservoir through the gas aperture and capable of displacing a portion of the sample through the liquid conduit; and a positioning apparatus capable of positioning the fluidic head and the sample reservoir in communication with one another. A method for providing an aliquot of sample, includes forming a releasable compression seal to a reservoir including a liquid sample; pressurizing the reservoir with compressed gas; displacing an aliquot of the sample from the reservoir; and transferring the displaced aliquot of the sample to a location.
