Abstract: A method includes identifying media content items for a playlist, identifying interstitials for the playlist, and pairing the media content items based on the interstitials. Each resulting pair of media content items is related to one of the interstitials. The method also includes arranging the resulting pairs of media content items in the playlist together with the interstitials that are each related to both media content items in a respective pair of the resulting pairs. Each interstitial is inserted between a first media content item and a second media content item in a respective pair of the resulting pairs in the playlist.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems that use machine-learning techniques to facilitate the creation, timing of distribution, or follow-up actions for digital surveys. In one such implementation, the disclosed methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems use a survey-creation-machine learner to generate suggested survey questions for an administrator designing a digital survey. Additionally, in some implementations, the disclosed methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems use specialized machine learners to suggest timeframes in which to send digital surveys or to suggest action items to follow up on responses to the survey questions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle are presented. In one example, a boost phase of a procedure to close a driveline disconnect clutch may be cut short in response to an engine changing state from not rotating to rotating so that the engine may be restarted in an alternative way. The system and methods may also predict a degraded engine start from a low engine cranking speed or a long cranking time duration so that the engine may be started in an alternative way to increase a possibility of starting the engine and decrease the severity of degraded driveline disturbance.

Abstract: A method and system for fostering controlled growth of a turfgrass in a target area, includes: providing an autobot capable of automatically applying a UVC light treatment to the target grass area, wherein the target grass area comprises C4 turfgrass. The method and system includes coupling a UVC light subsystem to the autobot such that the UVC light subsystem is suspended above the C4 turfgrass within the target grass within a first predetermined range. Next, UVC light is generated by the UVC light subsystem with a wavelength within a second predetermined range. Subsequently, the UVC light is emitted from the UVC light subsystem to the C4 turfgrass at an intensity within a third predetermined range. And the UVC light is moved across the C4 turfgrass within the target grass area using the autobot at night at a speed within a fourth predetermined range.

Also provided are methods and compositions for producing modified tobacco plants comprising reduced or no sucker growth.
Abstract: Systems and methods to perform sensor fusion with a depth imager and a radar system involve transmitting radio frequency (RF) energy from the radar system to a region and simultaneously emitting light to the region using a light source, Reflected light is received at a depth imager aligned with the light source, and RF reflections are received at the radar system. The reflected light is processed to obtain azimuth, elevation, range, variance in range, and reflectivity to each pixel that makes up the region. Processing the RF reflections provides azimuth, elevation, range, variance in range, velocity, and variance in velocity to a subset of the pixels representing a region of interest. Performing the sensor fusion includes using the azimuth, the elevation, the variance in range, and the reflectivity resulting from the depth imager and the range, the velocity, and the variance in velocity resulting from the radar system.
Abstract: A method for using a bracket assembly includes providing a bracket assembly comprising a first plate, a second plate rotatable relative to the first plate, and a lever assembly, the lever assembly comprising a rod and a lever; engaging a beam with the first and second plates; and actuating the lever to decrease a space between the first and second plates to make the bracket assembly more secured with the beam.
Abstract: Fifth generation (5G) non-standalone (NSA) radio access system employing virtual fourth generation (4G) master connection to enable dual system data connectivity. The 5G NSA radio access system employs a virtual 4G radio access node (RAN) to provide a logical master data connection to a user mobile communications device, and a 5G RAN to provide an additional, secondary high-speed data plane between the user mobile communications device to a core network. The virtual 4G RAN does not provide an actual 4G radio connection over-the-air to the user mobile communications device. Instead, the signaling transported between the user mobile communications device and the virtual 4G RAN is provided over a non-radio connection, such as an internet protocol (IP) connection. In this manner, the deployment of the 5G NSA radio access system employing the virtual 4G RAN can be achieved without updating existing 4G RANs and/or without deploying a new 4G RAN infrastructure.

Abstract: A deduplication pipeline method to enable shorter overall latency, servicing of multiple calls in parallel, and implementing higher data compression ratio. The method includes receiving user data for storage, performing deduplication operation on the data to obtain non-duplicative data, buffering the non-duplicative data in persistent memory, and accepting next user data for deduplication processing. In parallel to receiving the next user data, operating a co-processor to asynchronously compressing the data stored in the persistent memory and storing the compressed data in RAID.
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting predetermined events occurring during delivery of an ordered product to a delivery address is provided. Upon receipt of a customer order, delivery of the ordered product is assigned to a delivery driver/vehicle which includes a stand-alone communication device disposed in the delivery vehicle. As the delivery trip begins, various position and acceleration information is collected by the communication device, processed to determine whether a predetermined driving event has occurred, and stored. This information is transmitted periodically to a processing system for eventual communication to a home location store associated with the delivery order. Additional processing of the delivery trip data may occur to enable a review of the delivery trip and any detected events along the delivery path.

Abstract: A polar end ring mechanism for use with composite pressure vessels. The end ring is designed to support a pressure vessel during its formation via filament winding. The end ring helps define an opening at one of the polar ends of a tank. Spikes positioned along a portion of the end ring help prevent rotation or translation of the tank during formation and provide an improved mechanical lock with the tank body. A cap may then be secured to the polar end ring after formation in order to close the pressure vessel.
Abstract: This document generally describes warehousing systems that can, in certain instances, improve the efficiency of warehousing operations and improve utilization of available space in a warehousing facility. The warehousing system may be implemented in an automated warehouse, such as an automated cold-storage facility, that uses programmable equipment to automate tasks associated with warehousing operations, such as transporting inbound storage items to specified storage positions of storage racks in the warehouse and removing outbound storage items from storage so that they may be loaded onto trucks for delivery away from the warehouse.
