  • Patent number: 11812582
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed of a cold plate including substantially identical first and second frames. The first frame includes a first frame body with a first recess, a first mating surface surrounding the first recess, and a first plurality of heat transfer fins in the first recess. The second frame includes a second frame body with a second recess, a second mating surface surrounding the second recess, and a second plurality of heat transfer fins in the second recess. The second mating surface is in sealing contact with the first mating surface, so that the first and second recesses form a fluid chamber. The first and second pluralities of heat transfer fins form a plurality of fin channels in the fluid chamber. Advanced sealing structures can be formed between the first and second mating surfaces. A first fluid port and a second fluid port are fluidly coupled via fluid channels to the plurality of fin channels.

  • Patent number: 11807344
Abstract: A gyroscopic roll stabilizer for a boat includes a flywheel shaft having a first end and an opposite second end. The flywheel shaft has first and second open-ended cavities formed on opposing ends. A first uneven seal encloses the first cavity, and a second uneven seal encloses the second cavity. The first and second uneven seals are both configured to provide asymmetric sealing such that greater resistance is provided against flow in a primary sealing direction, from a first side toward a second side, than in a secondary sealing direction, from the second side toward the first side. The first side of the second seal faces inward toward the second cavity, and the second side of the first seal faces inward toward the first cavity. The first and second seals are functionally inverted relative to each other. Related methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11809323
Abstract: Apparatus and method for maintaining real-time coherency between a local cache of a target device and a client cache of a source device during execution of a distributed computational function. In some embodiments, a source device, such as a host computer, is coupled via a network interface to a target device, such as a data storage device. A storage compute function (SCF) command is transferred from the source device to the target device. A local cache of the target device accumulates output data during the execution of an associated SCF over an execution time interval. Real-time coherency is maintained between the contents of the local cache and a client cache of the source device, so that the client cache retains continuously updated copies of the contents of the local cache during execution of the SCF. The coherency can be carried out on a time-based granularity or an operational granularity.

  • Patent number: 11808546
Abstract: An aiming apparatus for a firearm has a frame, a plurality of visible and/or invisible light generators connected to the frame, with each light generator operable to propagate planar and/or non-planar light in the forward direction. Each light generator utilizes shaping optics to create straight or curved lines of light. Straight lines of light propagating in a forward direction will create a plane of light, while curved lines of light propagating in a forward direction will create non-planar light. A plurality of planar light oriented in a non-parallel, overlapping relationship creates a straight intersection line of light, while a plurality of non-planar light orientated in a non-parallel, overlapping relationship creates a straight or curved intersection line of light. When projected against a target surface, a plurality of planar lights creates a projected cross shape, which may have an intersection point.
