Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for one vehicle to follow another vehicle using alternative types of navigation assistance. In a first example method, a first vehicle uses a first type of navigation assistance to follow a second vehicle. The first type of navigation assistance can be based on satellite signals. A navigation system provided in the first vehicle may detect a loss of the first type of navigation assistance. The first vehicle may then follow the second vehicle to an intermediate location along the travel route, based on a second type of navigation assistance. In an example scenario, the second type of navigation assistance is based on a wireless signal containing information of a travel route of the second vehicle. The wireless signal may be generated by a device located in the second vehicle and/or by a device located outside the second vehicle.

Abstract: A load controller in a load control system may communicate messages with controllable loads on a plurality of loops for controlling electrical loads. Each controllable load may include a load control device and an associated electrical load. The messages received by the load controller may include a zone identifier. The zone identifier may be associated with the load control devices for being controlled together. The load controller may communicate messages to sets of load control devices for performing common control of the load control devices on each loop using group messages. The load controller may reconfigure the zones that are assigned group identifiers for receiving group messages on the loops, such that the group identifiers are assigned to the zones that have larger numbers of load control devices. The message types on a given loop may be selected based on the type of control being transmitted in the commands.

Abstract: A method for controlling a qubit encoded in an atom-like defect in a solid-state host may comprise applying an electrical signal to a piezoelectric cantilever that is mechanically coupled to a photonic waveguide comprising one or more embedded point defect sites. The photonic waveguide may be optically coupled to a photonic chip. Applying the electrical signal to the piezoelectric cantilever may induce movement in the piezoelectric cantilever, which may induce a strain in the photonic waveguide. The applied electrical signal may be determined by a defect site with excitation light, measuring a frequency of a photon emitted by the excited defect site, determining a frequency shift based on the measured frequency of the emitted photon, and determining the electrical signal to be applied to the piezoelectric cantilever based on the frequency shift.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are various embodiments for detecting predefined accessibility patterns for modifying a user interface of a mobile device. An embodiment operates by determining a plurality of pre-defined accessibility patterns each of which correspond to one or more user interactions by a user with a mobile device. Sensor data indicating that a user is unable to hold the mobile device steady is received. A first pre-defined accessibility pattern that corresponds to the indication that the user is unable to hold the mobile device steady is identified. A modification to a user interface is determined, and the user interface is modified in accordance with the determined modification corresponding to the first pre-defined accessibility pattern.

Abstract: A technology is disclosed for automated risk analysis for the deployment of software component updates in complex microservice architectures. Dependencies and versions of deployment situations in test setup environments and in a target environment are analyzed and compared to identify a version delta between tested and production deployments. Further, test results for test deployments are used to identify and remove unsuccessful test setups. Successful test setups are ranked according to extend of their version delta against the target environment and one of the successful test setups is selected according to a deployment strategy. After a test setup is selected, a deployment plan considering service versions and dependencies is generated that guarantees a tested and functional state of the target environment after each deployment step.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a modular, scalable, and transportable system for capture and sequestration of wellsite greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide, by integrating exhaust gas collection equipment, greenhouse gas capture equipment, greenhouse gas compression equipment, and a method enabling sequestration of the gas into well construction equipment and processes. The captured gas can be compressed or otherwise formed into a denser gas fluid, and injected into a geological formation, such as a shale formation. Enhancements to fracking processes can be provided by intercalating or otherwise mixing the gas fluid with fracking fluid. The gas fluid can be geologically sequestered by its interaction with and adsorption into the formation. The sequestered gas fluid can enhance hydrocarbon recovery by reduction of oil interfacial tension in the formation and desorption of methane from the formation. The gas fluid can also be absorbed into the formation or sequestered in other wells or storage facilities.
