Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a magnetic field sensor having a first set of MR elements configured to change in resistance due to an applied magnetic field having an orientation in a sensitive axis of the first set of MR elements and a second set of MR elements that are immune to the applied magnetic field. The second set of MR elements is configured to change in resistance due to temperature. A processor can compensate for the response of the first set of MR elements based on the temperature information from the second set of MR elements.

Abstract: A method of operating a virtual power plant (VPP) controller, that manages an electric vehicle (EV) charging station connected to a power grid, a battery storage system, and an independent power plant, includes: obtaining a first data set including time-series information of power output from the independent power plant; training a machine learning (ML) model that predicts power output from the independent power plant over a predetermined prediction horizon; obtaining a second data set including time-series information of: power demand information from the EV charging station; and power availability information from each of the battery storage system, the power grid, and the independent power plant; generating a predicted schedule of power output from the independent power plant over the predetermined prediction horizon; generating a command by inputting the second data set and the predicted schedule into an energy management system (EMS) policy.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing a stream of input images are provided. An example method includes receiving a stream of input images and a pointing angle associated with the stream of input images, wherein each input image in the stream of input images comprises a plurality of pixels; interpolating an effective analytical projection, for each input image of the stream of input images, from a grid of predetermined analytical projections, based on the respective pointing angle and plurality of pixels of each of the input images of the stream of input images, wherein the grid of predetermined analytical projections comprises a plurality of spaces that each correspond to respective predetermined pointing angles; generating a modified stream of input images, by mapping pixels of the input stream of images to projected pixels of the modified stream of images, using the effective analytical projection; and displaying the modified stream of images.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating custom art fonts with consistent style include receiving user input that identifies a base font style for a custom font and includes descriptive text that defies one or more text effects to use for the custom font. Depth maps are selected for characters to be included in the custom font. The depth maps are preprocessed to add noise to the depth maps. A generative model generates custom font images conditioned with the text prompt and the depth maps. The custom font images are then used to render text on a display screen of a computing device.

Abstract: A food processing device is disclosed that includes a motorized base and a vessel arranged to releasably couple to the motorized base. The motorized base has a base coupling configured to rotate about a rotational axis. The base coupling is shaped to engage a vessel coupling on the vessel such that rotation of the base coupling drives rotation of the vessel coupling about the rotational axis. The vessel coupling includes a drive shaft that extends into a cavity defined by the vessel. The food processing device also includes an accessory arranged to detachably couple to the vessel's drive shaft and rotate within the vessel about the rotational axis and rotation of the accessory is driven by the vessel coupling via the drive shaft.

Abstract: A medicine dispensing device configured with an overdose indicator. The medicine dispensing device includes a substantially transparent vessel for holding a drug therein and a series of zones visible on the vessel. Each of the zones corresponds to a pre-determined dose of the drug. A first of the zones may correspond to a minimum dose of the drug for a patient population, a second of the zones may correspond to an average dose of the drug for the patient population, and a third of the zones may correspond to a maximum dose of the drug for the patient population and is marked or colored to serve as an overdose indicator. The series of zones may be printed on a label affixed to an outer surface of the vessel. Each zone may be of a different color.

Each bin may include a plurality of sidewalls, and each sidewall may include an interior surface and an exterior surface. The bin engagement unit may be configured to move in a two-dimensional (2D) space in proximity to the base. The bin engagement unit may be configured to engage with the interior surface of a bin, from the plurality of bins, and slide the bin on the base when the bin engagement unit engages with the interior surface.

Abstract: Autonomous vehicles utilize perception to identify objects in a vehicle's surrounding environment and plan a trajectory. In perceiving an AV's surroundings, an object detection model uses sensor data from AV sensors to detect objects in the AV surroundings. An object detection model can be trained to detect objects using training datasets having sensor data and ground truth objects. In training, the object detection model uses the sensor data to identify objects in the locations of the ground truth objects. However, sometimes there is little or no sensor data corresponding to the ground truth objects, and the model is not able to learn patterns in sensor data to correctly detect the objects. Systems and methods are provided herein for removing ground truth objects that do not have sufficient corresponding sensor data from the training dataset, thereby preventing these objects from dominating the loss and interfering with the model learning useful patterns.

Abstract: An incident evaluation system for vehicle incidents includes a first imager configured to capture image data corresponding to a first vehicle and a first vehicle processor that is communicatively coupled to the first imager and configured to receive the captured image data. The first vehicle processor is configured to generate a first vehicle report in response to an incident captured in the image data and includes a first vehicle profile including at least one of first vehicle insurance details, driver details, and pre-incident image data. The incident evaluation system also includes a server communicatively coupled to the first vehicle processor and configured to receive the first vehicle report. The server is configured to evaluate the captured image data to generate an incident report.

Abstract: A method includes receiving training data that includes a plurality of sets of training utterances each associated with a respective language. Each training utterance includes a corresponding reference speech representation paired with a corresponding input text sequence. For each training utterance, the method includes generating a corresponding encoded textual representation for the corresponding input text sequence, generating a corresponding speech encoding for the corresponding reference speech representation, generating a shared encoder output, and determining a text-to-speech (TTS) loss based on the corresponding encoded textual representation, the corresponding speech encoding, and the shared encoder output. The method also includes training a TTS model based on the TTS losses determined for the training utterances in each set of the training utterances to teach the TTS model to learn how to synthesize speech in each of the respective languages.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining training data including a plurality of training audio signals and corresponding transcripts. Each training audio signal is spoken by a target speaker in a first accent/dialect. For each training audio signal of the training data, the method includes generating a training synthesized speech representation spoken by the target speaker in a second accent/dialect different than the first accent/dialect and training a text-to-speech (TTS) system based on the corresponding transcript and the training synthesized speech representation. The method also includes receiving an input text utterance to be synthesized into speech in the second accent/dialect. The method also includes obtaining conditioning inputs that include a speaker embedding and an accent/dialect identifier that identifies the second accent/dialect.

Abstract: Lighting control systems may be commissioned for programming and/or control with the aid of an autonomous mobile device. Design software may be used to create a floor plan of how the lighting control system may be designed. The design software may generate floor plan identifiers for each lighting fixture, or group of lighting fixtures. During commissioning of the lighting control system, the autonomous mobile device may be used to help identify the lighting devices that have been installed in the physical space. The autonomous mobile device may receive a communication from each lighting control device that indicates a unique identifier of the lighting control device. The unique identifier may be communicated by visible light communication (VLC) or RF communication. The unique identifier may be associated with the floor plan identifier for communication of digital messages to lighting fixtures installed in the locations indicated in the floor plan identifier.
