Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology may provide methods and systems for position stabilization. The methods and systems for position stabilization may be integrated within an electronic device. An exemplary system may include a driver circuit responsive to a gyro sensor and a feedback signal from an actuator. The driver circuit may be configured to calibrate a gain applied to a drive signal based on the posture of the electronic device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for the maintenance of a virtual credit card pool for airline passenger vouchers. An example system includes server(s) that are configured to determine a target distribution of virtual credit cards within the virtual card pool for a current date-and-time. The server(s) are configured to, in response to determining that the current date-and-time corresponds with a predefined restocking time, for each card value: identify a current number of virtual credit cards within the virtual card pool; identify a threshold number of virtual credit cards based on the target distribution; compare the current and threshold numbers; in response to determining that the current number is less than the threshold number, transmit a request for virtual credit cards having the card value to an external server; and add the requested virtual credit cards to the virtual card pool upon receipt.

Abstract: A method for video encoding includes generating coding information of a block to be encoded, the coding information indicating intra prediction information for the block. In response to the block being coded with a directional mode, the method includes determining the directional mode based on a nominal mode and an angular offset, and determining a non-separable transform for the block based on the nominal mode. The method also includes encoding the block based on the determined directional mode and the determined non-separable transform. The non-separable secondary transform is only applied to a first N transform coefficients that are consecutively arranged along a scanning order used for entropy coding transform coefficients of the block.

Abstract: Dispensers of the present technology are configured to receive a replaceable refill cartridge, and may include a back housing, a front cover, a control unit, a refill housing configured to receive a refill cartridge, and a switch board positioned between the refill housing and the back housing. Dispensers may also include at least one refill guide removably connected to the refill housing. The switch board may include at least one switch operatively connected to the control unit. The at least one switch may be a refill recognition switch configured to send at least a refill recognition signal to the control unit indicating that a refill cartridge is present in the refill housing, or a refill size switch configured to send a refill size signal to the control unit indicating a size of the refill cartridge.

Abstract: A method of installing a subsea pipeline supports at least one elongate pipe stalk at the surface of the sea at a first, relatively shallow-water location by virtue of buoyancy added to the pipe stalk. The pipe stalk is then towed at the surface to a second location that is in deeper water. There, with the pipe stalk supported between leading and trailing towing vessels, at least some of the added buoyancy is removed. This causes the pipe stalk to hang with catenary curvature beneath the surface between the vessels. The catenary-curved pipe stalk hanging between the vessels is then towed to a third location for subsea installation, which may involve upending the pipe stalk before landing a lower end portion of it on the seabed.

Abstract: A method and system for automatically retrieving and integrating one or more supplemental software programs into at least one of an existing software program may include receiving a request to open a document via the existing software program, retrieving a list of supplemental software programs for the document, the list of supplemental software programs including an identification for each of the supplemental software programs and an application source from which the supplemental software programs can be retrieved, embedding the list of supplemental software programs into a data structure for the document, embedding a program for processing the list of supplemental software programs into a data structure for the document, and transmitting the data structure to a component for processing. The program is configured to retrieve the supplemental software programs from the application source and automatically integrate the supplemental software programs into the data structure.

Abstract: A first base station receives, from a second base station, one or more first parameters identifying a first plurality of time intervals as a listen-before-talk (LBT) time interval of the second base station. The first base station selects a second plurality of time intervals as an LBT time intervals based on the one or more first parameters. The first base station transmits, to a wireless device, at least one radio resource control message comprising one or more second parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as LBT time intervals. The first base station transmits, in response to an LBT procedure indicating a clear channel, a burst to the wireless device, the burst configured to begin in a time interval identified as an LBT time interval.

Abstract: A handheld evaluation device includes an image recorder configured to capture at least one of still images or video images, a function switch configured to operate the image recorder, a plurality of timers, each of which is associated with one or more portions of a substance evaluation protocol, and processing circuitry coupled to the image recorder, the function switch, and a plurality of actuators operatively associated with the plurality of timers. The processing circuitry is configured to initiate a first timer of the plurality of timers in response to detecting the activation of a first actuator of the plurality of actuators, activate the image recorder in response to detecting operation of the function switch, provide feedback associated with the first timer, determine completion of the first timer, and store in memory the at least one of still images or video images captured by the image recorder.

Abstract: A library model addition engine adds library models to a library knowledge base by defining a template for a library configuration file that conveys information about each library model, custom inputs and code snippets to facilitate library comparison operations, and education content for the library model, where the library configuration file template may be automatically filled by populating selected data fields in the template with information identifying the library model and a set of custom inputs for the library model, and then passing a set of test cases from the set of custom inputs to an input/output matching engine to evaluate a repository of code snippets and identify a set of functionally similar code snippets for inclusion one or more data fields in the template.

Abstract: A valve trim that is configured to abate noise in a control valve. These configurations may include a cage with a flow path that has a spiral design or layout. This flow path can direct flow around a central bore. A plug may reside in this bore. This plug can travel longitudinally to change parameters of flow through the control valve. In one implementation, the spiral design can split flow inside of the cage. This feature can elongate travel of flow without any increase in dimensions of the cage (or the valve trim itself).

Abstract: Data protection operations including replication operations from a production site to a replica site are disclosed. An example method assessing applications operating on a production virtual machine based on a replication strategy. The replication strategy is configured to identify related applications and ensure that the related applications are replicated to different replica virtual machines. The applications are then replicated from the production virtual machines to the replica virtual machines according to the replication strategy. The replication strategy can improve performance of the recovery operation.

Abstract: A system for determining a travel path for an autonomous vehicle (“AV”) to travel to a target while avoiding objects (i.e., obstacles) without the use of an imaging system is provided. An object sense and avoid (“OSA”) system detects objects in an object field that is adjacent to the AV and dynamically generates, as the AV travels, a travel path to the target to avoid the objects. The OSA system repeatedly uses sensors to collect sensor data of any objects in the object field. An object detection system then detects the objects and determines their locations based on triangulating ranges to an object as indicated by different sensors. The path planner system then plans a next travel direction for the AV to avoid the detected objects while seeking to minimize the distance traveled. The OSA system then instructs the AV to travel in the travel direction.
