  • Patent number: 12244833
Abstract: A sampling filter process is provided for scalable video coding. The process provides for re-sampling using video data obtained from an encoder or decoder process of a base layer (BL) in a multi-layer system using adaptive phase shifting to improve quality in Scalable High efficiency Video Coding (SHVC). In order to compensate for phase offsets introduced by downsampling an appropriate phase offset adjustment is made for upsampling in SHVC with an appropriate offset included for proper luma/chroma color space positions. In one approach the luma/chroma phase offset is specified and a filter is selected to apply the appropriate phase change.

  • Patent number: 12244935
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system configures an image signal processor (ISP) of an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) with a first set of ISP configuration parameters, where the ISP is used to process raw image data of an image sensor of the ADV based on the first set of ISP configuration parameters. The system determines whether one or more criteria is satisfied, where the one or more criteria corresponds to an expected change in a characteristic of ambient light being perceived by the image sensor of the ADV. In response to determining that the one or more criteria is satisfied, the system configures the ISP of the ADV with a second set of ISP configuration parameters, where the ISP is used to apply an image processing algorithm to raw image data based on the second set of ISP configuration parameters to generate an image.

  • Patent number: 12239839
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treatment of hypertension and heart failure by increasing secretion of endogenous atrial hormones by pacing of the heart. Pacing is done during the ventricular refractory period resulting in premature atrial contraction that does not result in ventricular contraction. Pacing results in the atrial wall stress, peripheral vasodilation, ANP secretion. Concomitant reduction of the heart rate is monitored and controlled as needed with backup pacing.

  • Patent number: 12240145
Abstract: An articulating composite surface covering mat and process of forming the mat are provided. The mat has multiple units having a regular, natural or irregular appearance, and each unit a flexible geogrid extending therethrough. A method of forming the mat includes forming the mat upside-down on a bottom surface of a bottom mold, placing the top mold over the bottom mold to form the mold assembly, locating a geogrid in the mold assembly, latching the mold assembly together with magnets, and adding the filler to the mold assembly.

  • Patent number: 12242902
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for multi-event correlation. Receiving a stream of events, each leaf rule engine may detect a plurality of events from the stream that matches a characteristic for the leaf rule engine. Each leaf rule engine may identify, from the plurality of events and within a time window, a group of events that satisfies a condition for the respective leaf rule engine. A root conditions engine may receive a stream of leaf events corresponding to the group of events identified by each leaf rule engine. The root conditions engine may identify, from the received stream of leaf events and within a root time window, a collection of events that satisfies a condition for the root conditions engine. A trigger may execute an action according to the collection of events identified within the root time window.

  • Patent number: 12239647
Abstract: T cells harvested from an ALS patient are subjected to a de-differentiation and re-differentiation process to yield TREG/Th2 hybrid T cells and are then administered to the ALS patient as a cell therapy. The harvested T cells are first cultured in medium containing vitamin D, temsirolimus, and an IL-2 signaling inhibitor to de-differentiate the cells and then the de-differentiated cells are then transferred to a culture medium with IL-2, IL-4, and TGF-?.

  • Patent number: 12240414
Abstract: Upon detecting an absence of a user inside a passenger cabin of a vehicle, an object inside the passenger cabin is classified as one of preferred or nonpreferred. Upon classifying the object as preferred, a sensor is activated to monitor an environment outside the passenger cabin based on determining the object is visible from outside the passenger cabin. A priority level for the preferred object is determined based on data from the sensor, wherein the priority level is one of high or low. A vehicle component is actuated to reduce the priority level based on determining the priority level for the preferred object is high.

  • Patent number: 12242605
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to a system for classifying software as malicious or benign based on predicting the effect the software has on the platform before the software is actually deployed. A system as described herein can operate in close to real-time to receive, isolate, and classify software as benign or malicious. Aspects of the disclosure provide for accurate classification of malicious programs or scripts even if ostensibly the program appears benign, and vice versa, based on the effect predicted by a machine learning model trained as described herein. The system can also be implemented to isolate and verify incoming scripts or software to the platform, to provide a predicted classification while not substantially impacting processing pipelines involving platform resources or the user experience with the platform in general.

  • Patent number: 12245048
Abstract: A wireless system is shared amongst a hierarchal tier of entities. A communication management resource receives notification that a second-tier priority entity has been allocated use of a second wireless spectrum as a replacement to first wireless spectrum. In one embodiment, the first wireless spectrum is revoked from the second-tier priority entity based on use of the first wireless spectrum by a first-tier priority entity (such as incumbent entity). The communication management resource controls a wireless transmit power level of a third-tier priority entity in the hierarchy to provide protected use of the second wireless spectrum by the second-tier priority entity. According to one configuration, the communication management resource controls a power level of wireless communications transmitted by a wireless base station operated by the third-tier priority entity.

  • Patent number: 12243072
Abstract: In an example embodiment, tensor train decompositions are used to create large, personalized layers that are efficient for segment modeling. More particularly, rather than performing learning on an input matrix of training data that contains all segments, and then crossing this matrix with a vector for a particular segment, the matrix is mapped to an N-dimensional tensor, where each of the dimensions corresponds to one of the properties used to compose the segment, which can then be approximated by tensor train decomposition to enable efficient training and scoring.
