Abstract: The unintended retraction of extruded insulation from a conductor causes reliability and safety concerns. A variety of insulation lock mechanisms are designed to prevent the insulation layer of an insulated lead from retracting and exposing uninsulated portions of the conductor. The insulation lock mechanism can be included between the conductor and the insulation layer, or included in a connector used to provide an electrical connection between an internal motor lead and an insulated lead of a motor lead cable. Within the connector, the insulation lock mechanism can be included between the insulation layer and a terminal that electrically connects the motor lead to the insulated lead.

Abstract: A mobile communication devices operates to: generate first control data to control an auxiliary device coupled to one of a plurality of home automation devices, wherein the plurality of home automation devices includes a thermostat, wherein the plurality of auxiliary devices includes a heat and cooling system, and wherein the thermostat is configured to control the heating and cooling system; and generate a task to control one or more of the plurality of home automation devices based on a log of operations of the one or more of the plurality of home automation devices that is generated over time.

Abstract: A wireless device receives, from a first network, one or more messages comprising an authentication and/or authorization (AA) status of the wireless device indicating whether the wireless device is authenticated and/or authorized for an aerial service, and a parameter indicating that an interface between the first network and a second network is not supported. The wireless device sends, to a network function of the second network, a message, wherein the message comprises the AA status based on the parameter indicating that there is no interface.

Abstract: Provided are approaches for customizing transaction cards using a multi-part card body. In some approaches, the transaction card may include a first section comprising a first outer perimeter, a first interior edge, and a second interior edge extending from the first interior edge, wherein the first and second interior edges form an obtuse angle, and wherein a slot is formed in the first interior edge. The transaction card may further include a second section couplable with the first section, wherein the second section comprises a second outer perimeter, a third interior edge, and a fourth interior edge extending from the third interior edge, wherein a protrusion extends from the third interior edge, and wherein the protrusion is retained within the slot when the first section and the second section are joined together. The transaction card may further include a chip coupled to the first section.

Abstract: In exemplary embodiments, methods and systems are provided for a digital flashlight for a vehicle. In another exemplary embodiment, a system is provided that includes a display of a vehicle; and a processor coupled to the display of the vehicle and a camera of the vehicle and configured to at least facilitate: obtaining a camera image frame via the camera of the vehicle; determining a first region of the camera image frame having a first brightness level; determining a second region of the camera image frame having a second brightness level that is greater than the first brightness level; and providing instructions to the display of the vehicle for displaying the first region with increased brightness that is based on the second brightness level.

Abstract: A wireless device receives, based on a first reference signal (RS), first downlink signals via a first cell and a second cell. The wireless device triggers, in response to detecting a first beam failure of the first cell, a beam failure recovery (BFR) for the first cell. The wireless device transmits a message indicating a second RS as a candidate beam for the BFR. Based on completing the BFR for the first cell, the wireless device resets a first beam failure instance (BFI) counter for the first cell and a second BFI counter for the second cell. The wireless device receives, based on the second RS, second downlink signals via the first cell and the second cell.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a clip for holding articles includes a main body having a first body portion and a second body portion mounted to undergo pivotal movement relative to the first body portion for selectively positioning the clip between an open state and a closed state. The first state of the clip is configured to allow an article to be positioned between the first and second body portions, and the closed state of the article is configured to securely hold the article between the first and second body portions. A biasing member is mounted between the first and second body portions for biasing the clip to the closed state. The clip is configured for placement in the open state by pivotal movement of the first body portion relative to the second body portion against the biasing force of the biasing member. The invention is also directed to a sun visor assembly equipped with the clip.

Abstract: An automated method for processing a variable flow of an incoming viscera stream from a carcass processing facility. A cooling fluid is used to convey and cool the incoming viscera stream from an eviscerating site to an attached modular facility. The viscera stream is directed by the cooling fluid towards a divert valve and diverted between modular facilities based on a comparison of the flow rate of the incoming viscera stream with the processing capacity of the modular facility. The divert valve can divert the viscera stream to finished feed processing equipment when flow rates exceed a minimum flow rate. Flow rates below the minimum flow rate are directed to an ingredient stream. A cooked product of the viscera stream can be cooled using wastewater from the cooling fluid. The cooled product can be stored without refrigeration at the modular facility.

Abstract: A cable rack system apparatus for assisting the user with installation, disinfection, and mounting to a surface includes one or more cables, one or more ultraviolet (“UV”) emitters, one or more clips, and two or more surface mounts. Abstract: An over-the-road vehicle. The vehicle comprises a chassis, and an envelope supported on the chassis. The envelope comprises a first continuous sheet of material folded over to form a front wall, a back wall, an overhead panel, and at least a portion of a floor panel. The envelope also includes a second continuous sheet of material forming a left side panel, and a third continuous sheet of material forming a right side panel. The left side panel is thermoplastically welded onto the first sheet of material on a left side of the chassis. Similarly, the right side panel is thermoplastically welded onto the first sheet of material on a right side of the chassis. The floor panel is connected to the chassis. Each of the first, second, and third sheets of material is fabricated from at least one malleable fiberglass sheet and a thermoplastic core, which may be precision bent and cut to specifications. A method of fabricating an envelope is also provided herein.

Abstract: An access point that selectively provides an identifier of a WLAN is described. This access point may include an interface circuit that communicates with an electronic device and a second electronic device. During operation, the access point may receive, associated with the electronic device, information specifying the second electronic device and optionally the identifier of the WLAN. When the access point detects a presence of the second electronic device in proximity to the access point, the access point may selectively provide the identifier of the WLAN. Alternatively, when the access point does not detect the presence of the second electronic device in proximity to the access point within a time interval, the access point may selectively disable the identifier of the WLAN. Note that the identifier of the WLAN may include an SSID of the WLAN. For example, the SSID may include a personalized SSID of the second electronic device.

Abstract: An apparatus for installing a fastener includes a structure having an entry and an exit for the fastener. The structure further defines a channel having a passage, a chute for receiving the fastener, and a chamber between the chute and the passage. A feeder is operably coupled with the chute and configured to provide the fastener at the entry. A first actuator is operably coupled with the structure and configured to move the fastener through the chamber. A second actuator is operably coupled with the housing and configured to move the fastener through the passage to the exit.
