Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring gameplay trajectories for stopping points and applying a time-based setting. The gameplay trajectories may be based on patterns within real-time gameplay data. The server may predict one or more stopping periods within a gameplay session based on a comparison of the gameplay trajectory data to the time-based setting. Then, the setting may be applied to generate options for transitioning out of the gameplay session at a next predicted timing point.

Abstract: Class C fly ash-based cementitious materials, concretes, and related techniques are disclosed. In accordance with some embodiments, an activated class C fly ash-based cementitious material may be produced by intergrinding class C fly ash (e.g., classified to remove quartz and/or other contaminants and, thus, increase the reactive materials present), an activator, sodium citrate, borax, and a polycarboxylate material. The class C fly ash may have an amorphous glass content of about 60 wt % or more, a calcium oxide (CaO2) content of about 20 wt % or more, and a quartz content of about 10 wt % or less. The activator may be a chemical which reacts with class C fly ash to form strätlingite structures therein when introduced with water. In some cases, the cementitious material may be provided as an all-in-one powder blend. In some cases, techniques disclosed herein may be utilized in providing a fast-setting flowable fill material.

Abstract: The disclosed technology provides a vitrimeric poly(diketoenamine) network comprising: a plurality of multifunctional triketone dimers; a plurality of multifunctional amine species containing primary or secondary amine groups, but no tertiary amine groups; and optionally, one or more amine-reactive groups. The disclosed technology also provides a method of making a vitrimeric polymer network, comprising: obtaining multifunctional triketone dimers; obtaining a multifunctional imine compound, with imine groups blocking amine groups; mixing the multifunctional triketone dimers with the multifunctional imine compound, thereby forming a polymer precursor mixture; applying the polymer precursor mixture onto a substrate; and allowing the multifunctional imine compound to undergo hydrolysis with water, unblocking the amine functional groups and generating a multifunctional amine compound. The multifunctional amine compound reacts with the multifunctional triketone dimers to form a vitrimeric polymer network.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a processing device of a content sharing platform, a request for desired content from a client device, the content being stored in a content delivery network (CDN). The method further includes generating, based on data available to the content sharing platform, a partial trust metric associated with the client device, wherein the partial trust metric is to be used by a CDN server to make a decision regarding access to the desired content by the client device. The method further includes generating a response to the content request, wherein the response comprises one or more resource locators for accessing the desired content in the CDN, and the partial trust metric. The method further includes sending the response to the client device to enable the client device to request the desired content from the CDN server using the resource locator(s) and the partial trust metric.

Abstract: A sampling filter process is provided for scalable video coding. The process provides for re-sampling using video data obtained from an encoder or decoder process of a base layer (BL) in a multi-layer system using adaptive phase shifting to improve quality in Scalable High efficiency Video Coding (SHVC). In order to compensate for phase offsets introduced by downsampling an appropriate phase offset adjustment is made for upsampling in SHVC with an appropriate offset included for proper luma/chroma color space positions. In one approach the luma/chroma phase offset is specified and a filter is selected to apply the appropriate phase change.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide active control of rotor cooling. In a number of embodiments, a system includes a controller coupled with an electric machine having a rotor. The controller evaluates parameters related to the electric machine for flow rate requirements of the rotor, where the flow rate requirements relate to cooling of the rotor. A flow rate of a fluid for cooling the rotor is computed, where the flow rate is based on a composite of the flow rate requirements. A control valve signal is delivered to set a control valve to supply the flow rate to the rotor based on the parameters.

Abstract: A system and method of creating electronic characters in one or more electronic formats, selectively customizing the characters, and presenting them via electronic channels in response to satisfaction of one or more programmable conditions is disclosed. The system enables entities to competitively bid to customize the personality and/or other attribute of a character. For example, a character may be presented via an electronic channel to an audience (e.g., one or more end users who view, listen to, or otherwise experience a character through an electronic channel). An entity may bid on altering that character's personality and/or other attribute. If the entity's bid is selected by the system (e.g., over other bids that also compete to alter one or more attributes of that character), the system customizes the character's personality and/or other attribute according to the winning bid's customization, and presents the customized character via the electronic channel to the audience.

Abstract: An activity recognition system is disclosed. A plurality of temporal features is generated from a digital representation of an observed activity using a feature detection algorithm. An observed activity graph comprising one or more clusters of temporal features generated from the digital representation is established, wherein each one of the one or more clusters of temporal features defines a node of the observed activity graph. At least one contextually relevant scoring technique is selected from similarity scoring techniques for known activity graphs, the at least one contextually relevant scoring technique being associated with activity ingestion metadata that satisfies device context criteria defined based on device contextual attributes of the digital representation, and a similarity activity score is calculated for the observed activity graph as a function of the at least one contextually relevant scoring technique, the similarity activity score being relative to at least one known activity graph.

Current can be drawn from the second energy storage device situated in the second device housing, for example, when the electronic device is hand supported by the first device housing unless secondary factors exist.

Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring a pump and a fan are disclosed. A monitoring system for a pump may include an industrial system including a pump, a data acquisition circuit to interpret a plurality of detection values corresponding to at least one of a plurality of input sensors operationally coupled to the pump and communicatively coupled to the data acquisition circuit. A monitoring system may further include a signal evaluation circuit including a timer circuit to generate at least one timing signal and a phase detection circuit structured to determine a relative phase difference between at least one of the detection values and at least one of the timing signals from the timer circuit. A response circuit may perform at least one operation in response to the relative phase difference.

Abstract: A method for generating DICOM images as part of a real-time virtual medical consultation includes receiving, by a handheld patient device associated with a patient, a DICOM image associated with the patient generated by a diagnostic device, encrypting, by the handheld patient device, the DICOM image and linking the encrypted DICOM image to a unique patient identifier associated with the patient, wherein the handheld patient device is one of a tablet computer and a smartphone, and transmitting, by the handheld patient device, the encrypted DICOM image to a server configured to provide a DICOM viewer option within a secure telemedicine platform accessible by a medical professional and executed by the server.

In one example, a client device is configured to request application data for all accounts associated with the device or application installation using a single remote procedure call, rather than requiring separate calls for each account, and to do so by providing a single identifier rather than including identifiers specific to each associated account. The remote service is further configured to return the requested information in a manner that obfuscates the account identifiers and thus limits their potential use if the communication is intercepted, such that the application data can be efficiently transmitted together even where security or other concerns would otherwise dictate that separate transmissions should be made for each account.

Abstract: A wireless system is shared amongst a hierarchal tier of entities. A communication management resource receives notification that a second-tier priority entity has been allocated use of a second wireless spectrum as a replacement to first wireless spectrum. In one embodiment, the first wireless spectrum is revoked from the second-tier priority entity based on use of the first wireless spectrum by a first-tier priority entity (such as incumbent entity). The communication management resource controls a wireless transmit power level of a third-tier priority entity in the hierarchy to provide protected use of the second wireless spectrum by the second-tier priority entity. According to one configuration, the communication management resource controls a power level of wireless communications transmitted by a wireless base station operated by the third-tier priority entity.
