Abstract: A method of detecting frames in a video that demarcate a pre-determined type of video segment within the video is provided. The method includes identifying visually distinctive candidate marker frames within the video, grouping the candidate marker frames into a plurality of groups based on visual similarity, computing a collective score for each of the groups based on temporal proximity of each of the candidate marker frames within the group to related events occurring within the video, and selecting at least one of the groups based on the collective proximity scores as marker frames that demarcate the pre-determined type of video segment. A video processing electronic device and at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer program instructions stored thereon for performing the method are also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed are procedures and examples of feedback messages that enable a user device to request transmission adjustments in 5G and 6G. The feedback message may indicate a selected beam direction, a power adjustment request, a grant request, and an acknowledgement, among other things. For example, a downlink message may include several beam test signals, each transmitted in a different direction, and the user device can indicate, in the feedback message, which test signal was best received. Thus the feedback enables the base station to adjust its beam toward the user device upon each message. In addition, the user device can determine the amplitude or signal quality received in the favored test signal, and can then include an incremental power adjustment request in the feedback message. In addition, the user device can request a retransmission and/or an uplink grant, and can optionally provide a BSR as well, in some embodiments.

Abstract: An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a data input interface to access different sets of initial adjustment factors, the initial adjustment factors generated to correct at least one of misattribution or non-coverage of media impressions logged by a database proprietor, a grouping controller to identify a first set of the initial adjustment factors as a set of donor adjustment factors based on (a) first audience members associated with the set of donor adjustment factors satisfying a first threshold and (b) first impressions associated with the first audience members satisfying a second threshold, and identify a second set of the initial adjustment factors as a set of recipient adjustment factors, and an imputation factor generator to generate imputation factors to correct ones of the recipient adjustment factors based on ones of the donor adjustment factors.

The computing device may send, to the user device, a response at a data communication rate associated with the requested beacon data communication rate.

Abstract: A wireless device may receive configuration information for a plurality of periodic resource allocations. A downlink control information (DCI) may be received comprising an indication of activation or release of at least one periodic resource allocation of the plurality of periodic resource allocations. After receiving the DCI, a medium access control (MAC) subheader comprising a logical channel identifier (LCID) that identifies a confirmation MAC control element may be sent. The confirmation MAC control element may comprise a plurality of fields, and at least one of the plurality of fields may indicate receipt of the indication of activation or release by using a same value to indicate either the activation or the release.

Abstract: Systems and methods of authorizing access to access-controlled environments are provided. In one example, a method includes receiving, passively by a computing device, user behavior authentication information indicative of a behavior of a user of the computing device, comparing, by the computing device, the user behavior authentication information to a stored user identifier associated with the user, calculating, by the computing device, a user identity probability based on the comparison of the user behavior authentication information to the stored user identifier, receiving, by the computing device, a request from the user to execute an access-controlled function, and granting, by the computing device, the request from the user responsive to determining that the user identity probability satisfies a first identity probability threshold associated with the access-controlled function.

According to some examples, a method may include: determining respective frequency distributions of a plurality of vehicle attributes, the frequency distributions being determined based on occurrences of values of the plurality of vehicle attributes in a set of vehicles; selecting a vehicle attribute from the plurality of vehicle attributes based on the frequency distributions of the plurality of vehicle attributes; transmitting, to a user device, an inquiry for user preference regarding the selected vehicle attribute; receiving, from the user device, a response indicating the user preference; and presenting, to the user device, a recommendation of one or more vehicles determined based on the received response.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses, including network interface controllers and computer-readable media, for traffic shaping offload. A network computing device can receive data packets for transmission and implement a traffic policy that includes transmitting at least some data packets without delay to their intended destination. Confirmation tokens for non-delayed packets can be queued in a time-indexed data structure and dequeued according to a traffic shaping policy. Confirmation tokens can be generated and stored independent of the time at which corresponding packets for the tokens are transmitted. Dequeued confirmation tokens can cause the network computing device to receive additional packets for transmission. The device can flag at least some packets for transmission without delay according to aspects of the disclosure, while un-flagged packets can be shaped according to a different traffic shaping policy.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a distributed analytics development platform (DADP) capable of automatically maintaining a multiple user development environment in real-time. In an illustrative example, a DADP includes a user interface (UI) layer, an application programming interface (API) layer, and an orchestration layer. The orchestration layer, for example, includes tool instances deployed for each of the multiple users. The orchestration layer may further include a multi-instance common orchestration service (COS) having an orchestration service instance (OSI) deployed in each of the tool instances. The COS, for example, may access a current state of each tool instance associated with the user in the orchestration layer and update a dynamic system state profile based on a current state of each of the tool instances. Various embodiments may advantageously provide an autonomously updated analytic development environment for deployment and maintenance of the tool instances in real-time.

Abstract: An activity management system is configured to allow users to access multimedia content where the multimedia content is divided into segments. While a user is viewing or interacting with the multimedia content, the user can submit one or more activities (e.g., comments, questions, replies, or reactions) using an interface. The system is operable to electronically link the activity provided by the user with the particular segment of multimedia content in which the activity was captured by the system. The system is also configured to throttle the number of activities that are displayed to a user for any given segment based on (1) viewers linked to the user (e.g., groups, social media groups, etc.), (2) viewers that influence the user, (3) viewers selected by the user, (4) viewers that cause the user to be engaged with the multimedia content, and (5) a threshold number of activities set by the viewer or the system.
