Abstract: A system for detecting a fraudulent ATM transaction is disclosed. The system relates to an ATM machine that receives a bank/ATM card from a customer. The ATM first attempts to read information from the card chip, but is unable to do so due to a read error. The ATM then instead reads the information from the magnetic strip, and initiates a fraud detection procedure. In one such procedure, the ATM uses a local wireless access point to detect a customer's device, such as a phone, in the vicinity of the ATM. In another such procedure, the ATM communicates with a backend server. The backend server then determines the location of the customer device either by transmitting a message to request authorization, or by utilizing GPS or other location-detection means on the customer device to determine whether the customer device is within the ATM vicinity.

Abstract: A heating apparatus can include a fire cage defining a cage space containing heated fuel. The heating apparatus can also include a container configured to be supported by the fire cage at a container position, wherein the container is above at least a portion of the cage space. The container can be designed to hold burning fuel above the heated fuel. Also, a heating apparatus can be arranged to form a food grill, and the heating apparatus can be rearranged to form a fire cage configuration. A thermal store can be placed in a heat collecting position on a side of the fire cage in a first location to heat the thermal store. The thermal store can be moved away from the fire cage and can be positioned in a second location away from the fire cage to emit thermal energy to heat air around the second location.

Abstract: A method of planning a path for reversing a trailer along a defined path a includes defining a desired end point for a trailer path and determining a set of reversing trailer curvatures for moving the trailer between each of a plurality of possible waypoints along a possible trailer path. A steering angle is determined for each of the curvatures. The reversing trailer path to the end point is then created based on a set of waypoints selected based on the determined reversing trailer curvature at each of the plurality of possible waypoints that meets a defined path determination criteria.

Abstract: According to examples, a learning based, end-to-end compression system may include an encoder, which may receive a complex hologram image and encode a latent code for a real component and an imaginary component of the hologram image. The system may also include a quantizer to quantize the latent code and a transform block, which may entropy-code the quantized latent code to obtain a compressed image. The system may further include a generator to decode the compressed image and a discriminator, which may classify the decoded image to obtain an uncompressed image. In case of holographic video input, the encoder may encode a frame to obtain a standard compressed frame and a residual to a latent code. The generator may decode the standard compressed frame and the latent code to obtain a reconstructed residual, and the discriminator may combine the uncompressed standard frame and the reconstructed residual.

Abstract: A system for navigating, exploring, and controlling immersive content and immersive advertisements provided on one or more OTT television applications using connected digital media players and/or user computing devices is presented. Immersive content and immersive advertisements are content and advertisements that can be viewed in 360 degrees so as to change the point of view and view the same content or advertisement from different angles. The user is enabled to control the playback, navigation, and exploration of the 360-degree immersive content and immersive advertisements using a digital trackpad in a downloadable 360-degree media player that can be applied as a separate application integration on a user’s smartphone or other device or that can be integrated into the OTT mobile application. Other connected streaming devices can also integrate the 360-degree media player to allow for 360 degree exploration and viewing of the immersive content and immersive advertisements.

Abstract: Eyewear including an optical functional member, control electronics, and a sealed electrical connective element connecting the electronics to the optical functional member. The connective element can directly connect the electronics to the optical functional member, or can connect through an intermediate contact, e.g., a plug-and-receptacle. The connective element can be routed from the electronics, around a rimlock of the eyewear to the optical functional member. The connective element can be a conductive compressible member, such as conductive rubber. In some embodiments, the connective element can be a multiconductor cable.

Abstract: A micro puree machine including a housing, a power shaft, a bowl assembly and a platform. The power shaft extends from the housing. The bowl assembly including at least one locking bowl element. The platform includes at least one complementary locking platform element that is configured to engage the at least one locking bowl element such that rotation of the bowl assembly relative to the platform is prevented at times the bowl assembly is positioned thereon. The platform is rotatable from a first position to a second position relative to the housing such that the platform raises the bowl assembly towards the power shaft during the rotation of the bowl assembly and platform. The raising of the bowl assembly facilitates connection between the power shaft and a blade assembly that is positioned in a lid assembly on the bowl assembly.

Abstract: A rotor for a motor of an electric aircraft is provided. The rotor may include a hub, which includes a plurality of magnets fixed to an inner surface of the hub that are configured to interact with a stator of the motor to rotate rotor. The rotor also includes redial spokes that extend from the hub and provide structural support to the rotor. The rotor may also include a hoop, which provides balance for rotor during operation of motor and may include an integrated fan that provides cooling to various components of the motor.

Abstract: A cooling system for a belt starter generator, which has at least one housing portion, a plurality of flow apertures integrally formed as part of the housing portion, a heat sink connected to the housing portion, the heat sink cooled by liquid cooling, and a plurality of fins integrally formed as part of the heat sink. A rotor having a shaft is at least partially disposed in the housing portion, and a plurality of slots are integrally formed as part of the rotor. An impeller having a plurality of blades is mounted on the shaft. As the shaft rotates, the rotor and the impeller also rotate, and the blades generate air flow to create a flow path such that air flows between each of the fins, through the flow apertures, and through the slots of the rotor, and through the blades, achieving air cooling of the belt starter generator.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to certain 2-aminoquinzaoline derivatives of Formula (I): and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R1, R3, R4, X1, and X2 are as defined herein, which are potent inhibitors of LRRK2 kinase and may be useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases in which the LRRK2 kinase is involved, such as Parkinson's Disease and other diseases and disorders described herein. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and the use of these compounds and compositions in the prevention or treatment of such diseases in which LRRK-2 kinase is involved.

Abstract: A computing system includes an illumination light source configured to emit illumination light into an external environment and an orientation sensor configured to estimate an orientation of the illumination light source relative to the external environment. The computing system includes a logic subsystem and a storage subsystem holding instructions executable by the logic subsystem to define a light restriction zone within the external environment. Based at least in part on the orientation of the illumination light source, the illumination light source is dynamically controlled to direct the illumination light toward at least a portion of the external environment outside the light restriction zone, while mitigating emission of the illumination light into the light restriction zone.

Abstract: A configurable port fitting for a container, such as a bioprocess bag, has one or more O-ring grooves and two opposing locking arms (e.g., 604). The port fitting is mounted onto the container by (i) inserting one end of the port fitting into a port in the container such that O-ring(s) form seals between the O-ring grooves and the container and (ii) rotating the port fitting to engage the locking arms with two opposing retention clips (e.g., 506) of the container. Some port fittings are fixed port fittings that provide a fixed opening into the container. Other port fittings are port sizers that receive a valve connector that enables flow control between closed and open positions. Port fittings of different sizes enable different flow rates. Some port fittings (and other connectors) have a threaded tube barb that receives a threaded tube retainer that secures tubing in place over the barb.

Abstract: A device and method that support and animate a plant disposed in an inner plant pot having an underside including a pivoting magnet plate atop a waterproof interface relative to an outer plant pot lower housing. A follower magnet is mounted using a cam follower positioned below the waterproof interface for magnetic attraction with the pivoting magnet plate above. An electronic processor control module instantiates movement of the inner plant pot relative to the outer plant pot assembly via a single motor actuator, and a plurality of sensors in communication with the electronic processor control module collect data by the plurality of sensors upon the user touching the plant, among other inputs for interactive features, responses, gameplay, and the like.

In one aspect, the method includes actions of aggregating data that is indicative of access to one or more data objects, determining a future storage cost associated with each of a plurality of data objects, determining an access window for each of the plurality of data objects, identifying a data object based on (i) the future storage cost that satisfies a predetermined threshold and (ii) a data object access window, providing a notification to a user device that requests feedback from a user indicating whether the data object can be deleted, and in response to receiving data that indicates that the data object can be deleted, generating an instruction to cause deletion of the data object upon the expiration of the access window.

Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of systems and apparatuses that include a drinking vessel with a lid and locking cover. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a container and a lid, where the lid is configured to engage an opening of a container to retain the liquid within the container. The lid may further include a cover capable of moving between a first and second position, where the contents of the container are accessible in the lid's second position but not the lid's first position. The lid may further include an adjustable lock capable of movement between at least a closed position and an open position. When the adjustable lock is in its closed position, the lid's cover is not able to move between its first and second position. When the adjustable lock is in its open position, the lid's cover is able to move between it first and second position.

Abstract: A transport system has a transport vehicle comprising a load area having a load surface on which a plurality of rack units of the transport system can be arranged one behind the other in a vehicle longitudinal direction and can be either locked in position or displaced in the vehicle longitudinal direction, whereby an accessible intermediate space can be produced between two adjacent rack units. In order to enhance improve the effective usability of a load space of a commercial vehicle, the transport vehicle is configured such that the intermediate space can be accessed regardless of the position thereof from an access side arranged laterally in the vehicle transverse direction.
