  • Patent number: 11694120
Abstract: Described is a system for detecting and correcting perception errors in a perception system. In operation, the system generates a list of detected objects from perception data of a scene, which allows for the generation of a list of background classes from backgrounds in the perception data associated with the list of detected objects. For each detected object in the list of detected objects, a closest background class is identified from the list of background classes. Vectors can then be used to determine a semantic feature, which is used to identify axioms. An optimal perception parameter is then generated, which is used to adjust perception parameters in the perception system to minimize perception errors.

  • Patent number: 11693554
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to effortlessly switching between user accounts. For example, a user may access an application on their computing device. Within the application the user may have multiple user accounts. The application may display a plurality of indicators that signify each user account associated with that application. In this regard, the user may perform a swiping or tapping motion to select a particular user account to switch to. A transitional stage may take place that changes a first background and details associated with a first user account to a second background and details associated with a second user account. When the transition is complete, the user is able to access and perform functions associated with the second user account. The user may switch to another user account using a similar swiping or tapping motion.

  • Patent number: 11693086
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement a smart device with an integrated radar system. The radar integrated circuit is positioned towards an upper-middle portion of a smart device to facilitate gesture recognition and reduce a false-alarm rate associated with other non-gesture related motions of a user. The radar integrated circuit is also positioned away from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) antennas and a wireless charging receiver coil to reduce interference. The radar system operates in a low-power mode to reduce power consumption and facilitate mobile operation of the smart device. By limiting a footprint and power consumption of the radar system, the smart device can include other desirable features in a space-limited package (e.g., a camera, a fingerprint sensor, a display, and so forth).

  • Patent number: 11694042
Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of an unsupervised cross-lingual sentiment classification model (which may be referred to as multi-view encoder-classifier (MVEC)) that leverages an unsupervised machine translation (UMT) system and a language discriminator. Unlike previous language model (LM)-based fine-tuning approaches that adjust parameters solely based on the classification error on training data, embodiments employ an encoder-decoder framework of an UMT as a regularization component on the shared network parameters. In one or more embodiments, the cross-lingual encoder of embodiments learns a shared representation, which is effective for both reconstructing input sentences of two languages and generating more representative views from the input for classification. Experiments on five language pairs verify that an MVEC embodiment significantly outperforms other models for 8/11 sentiment classification tasks.
