Abstract: Battery management systems and methods for using the same to obtain battery shock and/or rollover data. An exemplary battery management system of the present disclosure comprises an accelerometer configured to obtain acceleration data, a microcontroller operably connected to the accelerometer and configured to receive the acceleration data from the accelerometer, and a data storage medium in communication with the microcontroller, the data storage medium configured to store the acceleration data therein, wherein when the battery management system is in communication with a battery, the accelerometer can obtain the acceleration data relating to the battery, and the microcontroller can operate to disconnect the battery from a load connected thereto should the acceleration data meet or exceed a threshold limit.

Abstract: Techniques for managing media content in multi-display systems are described. For instance, the described techniques can be implemented to manage media content in the context of a client device that includes two or more housings attached via a hinge region such that the housings are pivotable relative to one another. The described techniques, for example, enable dynamic configuration of output of media content based on changes in user position relative to a client device.

Abstract: A system and method are presented to improve the speed of shared network processing by filtering data using a filter list. The filter list filters the data submitted for analysis to the server system. Some data is processed locally, but the filtered data is processed at the server system. The local systems process similar data, but they use distinct data hierarchies to classify the data. Hierarchy designations are utilized in the filter list to filter the data. Rules establish a unified hierarchy that is translated to local hierarchies in the filter lists. Tags are established at the server for exceptions. Tags are translated into data identifiers for inclusion in the filter lists. The size of the filter list is reduced by avoiding redundancies between the tagged data identifiers and the local hierarchy designations. The filter list creation process also creates pre-analysis data at the server to assist in its analysis.

Specific implementations of a semiconductor package may include: one or more semiconductor die coupled between a baseframe and a clip, the baseframe including a gate pad of the baseframe coupled with a gate pad of the one or more semiconductor die, and a source pad of the baseframe coupled with a source pad of the one or more semiconductor die, where the gate pad of the baseframe extends beyond a perimeter of the one or more semiconductor die.

Abstract: A communication system is included in a work string. The communication system includes a communication cable and a crimp sleeve. The communication cable has a housing with a communication line and a metal tube therein, a free line end of the communication line and a free tube end of the metal tube extending from an open end of the housing. The crimp sleeve includes a first sleeve section having a first inner diameter configured to receive the open end of the housing, a second sleeve section having a second inner diameter configured to receive the free tube end of the metal tube, and an opening configured to allow the free line end of the communication line to pass out of the crimp sleeve.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining a state of charge (SOC) schedule for an energy storage device and a time-dependent forecast of electrical energy production by a renewable electrical energy generation resource; generating a time-varying charge/discharge control signal for the electrical energy storage device based on the time-dependent forecast of electrical energy production, wherein the time-varying charge/discharge control signal is configured to maintain an average SOC of the energy storage device as low as possible while satisfying the SOC schedule; and controlling charging and discharging of the energy storage device with the time-varying charge/discharge control signal.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques for providing an in-line AI virtual assistant are provided. A system includes a session border controller coupled to an end-user device, and a session initiation protocol stack. The session initiation protocol stack includes a processor, and non-transitory computer readable media comprising instructions executable by the processor to: receive, from the session border controller, a call invite request; provision, via the AI virtual assistant service, an AI virtual assistant instance in response to the call invite request; and join the AI virtual assistant instance to a call with the end-user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating handover reduction in satellite systems are disclosed. A system may include a processor and a memory storing instructions, which when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to detect a user terminal that is selected for a handover procedure. The handover procedure may facilitate a switch from a source beam to a target beam. Based on input data, the processor may evaluate an ideal time value pertaining to a pre-defined time instance at which a scheduled handover is to be performed. The scheduled handover may correspond to at least one of a scheduled change in operating frequency within same beam or a scheduled feeder link handover due to a change in gateway communicating with the satellite. Based on the evaluation and the input data, the processor may estimate an optimized time value that pertains to an optimized time instance associated with an expected handover reduction.

The convertible seat includes a primary seating surface integrally formed with a secondary seating surface, where the convertible seat can move between a standard seating configuration in which the primary seating surface is generally parallel with the ground and the secondary seating surface is generally perpendicular to the primary seating surface and an elevated seating configuration in which the secondary seating surface is generally parallel with the ground and the primary seating surface is generally perpendicular to the secondary seating surface. The elevated seating configuration can support a user in a sitting or leaning position that is higher than a sitting position in the standard seating configuration.

Abstract: An oral appliance for treating sleep apnea in a user includes a mouthpiece configured for being positioned in an oral cavity of the user, and at least one pulse oximeter attached to the mouthpiece. According to an aspect, the pulse oximeter is configured to monitor actual oxygen saturation levels of hemoglobin of the user when the oral appliance is positioned in the oral cavity of the user. The oral appliance may include an additional sensor attached to the mouthpiece that includes at least one of an airflow sensor, a pressure sensor, a noise detector, and an actigraphy sensor.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments provide an improved approach to preventing exfiltration through email messages. The exemplary embodiments process outbound email messages to determine whether an outbound email message contains sensitive subject matter based on contextual information. The determination may be made based at least in part on the context reflected in the contextual information. In the exemplary embodiments, the determination of whether an outbound email message contains sensitive subject matter that should not be exfiltrated may be based at least in part on analysis performed by a trained neural network model.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a personal network of devices including one or more wearable devices and one or more other devices may facilitate secure payment. In some embodiments, a first device of the personal network may be configured to store a plurality of virtual slots, where each of the plurality of virtual slots stores a virtual token associated with a financial account. A second device of the personal network may be configured to transmit, to a merchant device, user authentication data and a first virtual token stored in a first virtual slot to cause the merchant device to obtain information related to a financial account associated with the first virtual token to facilitate a payment transaction. Abstract: A multiple bearing locking mechanism module comprising driver bearings, track bearings, slidable boltlock blocks comprised of springs (or magnetic equivalent) and a crossbolt therein. One or more modules are controlled by a master boltlock bolt/vault either by axial or vertical movement depending on embodiment, thus compressing one or more driver bearings into the track bearings. The track bearings expand into the slidable boltlock blocks housing the crossbolt—slidably disposed in the bearing track—compressing the crossbolt into the bossbolt locking port, manifesting the locked state. The multiple bearing locking mechanism module can be encompassed in but not limited to, gate locks, safes, briefcases, toolboxes, toy boxes, multiple shackle padlocks, door locks, cable locks, et cetera.

Abstract: Electroacoustic drivers that can be utilized in loudspeaker systems that utilize drivers having a magnetic negative spring (MNS) (such as reluctance assist drivers (RAD) and permanent magnet crown (PMC) drivers). The electroacoustic drivers can be used at all audio frequencies, including subwoofer frequencies. The magnetic negative springs of the electroacoustic drivers can cancel, or partially cancel, the large pressure forces on a sound panel (of an audio speaker) so that substantial subwoofer notes can be efficiently and cost effectively produced in small/portable speakers. The electroacoustic drivers can include a stabilizing/centering mechanism to overcome the destabilizing forces of a MNS that are too large for a voice coil alone to produce.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for customizing graphical user interfaces based on user preferences and aircraft-specific information. In one example, a method comprises continuously monitoring, by a processor, a location of an aircraft using a sensor on the aircraft; identifying, by the processor, a trajectory of the aircraft based on the continuous monitoring of the location of the aircraft; identifying, by the processor, an altitude of the aircraft; and determining, by the processor, one or more landmarks visible from the aircraft based on the identified altitude, location, and trajectory of the aircraft; and presenting, by the processor, a page having one or more graphical indications of the one or more landmarks visible from the aircraft.
