Abstract: A modular platform for configuring gutter guard systems is disclosed and claimed herein. Such gutter guard systems are designed and arranged to be positioned across the opening of a rain gutter to prevent debris from entering the rain gutter. The modular platform includes a number of interchangeable components. Select interchangeable components can be assembled to form a gutter guard system for use with a specific rain gutter based on the rain gutter's style, size, color and the mechanism used to secure the rain gutter to a structure and/or roofline. In one embodiment, a rear receiver is arranged such that it can accommodate a number of interchangeable component to reduce the number of components needed to accommodate various gutter guard system and provide more versatility to the gutter guard system.

Abstract: A manually-operated window treatment system may include a roller tube, a covering material, and a semi-rigid chain assembly. The covering material may be attached to the roller tube and may be operable between a raised position and a lowered position via rotation of the roller tube. The semi-rigid chain assembly may be configured to be operated by a user to rotate the roller tube. The semi-rigid chain assembly may be configured to limit the size of a loop that can be formed by the semi-rigid chain assembly. The semi-rigid chain assembly may be operatively coupled to a drive pulley of the window treatment system. The semi-rigid chain assembly may include flexible outer housing and a stiffening rod. The flexible housing may surround and operate along the stiffening rod. The hollow chain may include multiple links that are connected together to form a continuous loop.

Abstract: A method for laminating a lithium metal anode is provided. The method includes procuring a current collector, including a portion of the current collector to be covered with a lithium foil lamination, and procuring a plurality of lithium foil portions. The plurality of lithium foil portions each include a length configured for matching one of a length of the portion of the current collector to be covered with the lithium foil lamination or a width of the portion of the current collector to be covered with the lithium foil lamination. The method further includes disposing the plurality of lithium foil portions upon the portion of the current collector to be covered with the lithium foil lamination, wherein the plurality of lithium foil portions is arranged side-by-side, and applying heat and pressure to join the plurality of lithium foil portions to the current collector.

Abstract: Remote on-demand site link testing is provided. A site link tester (SLT) system includes an SLT connected to a customer's VoIP phone system. The SLT is configured to communicate with a front end client application operating remotely on a user's computing device. The packet-capture application receives instructions from the client application to perform a packet capture in association with the SLT's network interface and/or to operate as an emulated VoIP endpoint and conduct a test call (e.g., to confirm the customer's VoIP system's compliance with 911-associated legislation or to troubleshoot a VoIP issue). Results of the packet capture may be sent to the client application and analyzed for remotely diagnosing and troubleshooting VoIP-related problems. Using the SLT system, the technician is enabled to perform 911-associated legislation compliance and diagnose VoIP issues on-demand from a remote location, which can reduce or eliminate the need for a technician to be on-site.

The wireless device may receive a command indicating activation of a reference signal for fast activation of a SCell. The wireless device may activate the SCell based on the command.

Abstract: A ladder stabilizer attachment device secures a ladder stabilizer to a ladder. The device includes a sleeve including an outer wall. The outer wall has an outer face, an inner face, an upper end, and a lower end. The lower end is open. A slot extends into the inner face from the lower end to receive a top end of a ladder side rail and an uppermost rung of the ladder into the slot. A top edge of the slot defines a stop whereby the stop rests upon the uppermost rung of the ladder. A coupler is mounted to the sleeve. The coupler releasably engages the uppermost rung of the ladder.

Abstract: Techniques and architectures for managing radar sensor processing chains. A first high-frequency radio signal is received with a first RF receiver in the plurality of RF sensor suites on a host platform. The received high-frequency radio signal is converted to a lower second frequency range. A chirplet transform is performed on the signal in the second frequency range. Stored relative location information for a second RF receiver in the plurality of RF sensor suites is retrieved. Radar waveform information corresponding to the second RF receiver in a processing stream corresponding to the first RF receiver is extracted by utilizing the retrieved information and results from the chirplet transform. A point cloud is generated based on the converted signal in the second frequency range and the extracted radar waveform information.

Abstract: A discrimination system that forms a fluid column and interrogates objects within the fluid column with an excitation source. An optical arrangement collects output electromagnetic radiation emanating from the excited objects disposed within the fluid column and directs the output electromagnetic radiation to a detector. An analyzer reduces the positional dependency of the detected intensity by normalizing the value based on the position of each object.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to polymer compositions and foams including polymer compositions. Embodiments of the polymer composition may include at least 55 wt. %, based on the total weight of the polymer composition, of a polyolefin elastomer having an ethylene content of from greater than 50 wt. % to less than 80 wt. % and a cross-linkable blend comprising: (i) from 1 wt. % to 99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the cross-linkable blend, of an E/X/Y polymer and (ii) from 1 wt. % to 99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the cross-linkable blend, of an epoxycontaining polymer.

Abstract: A method for suppressing network traffic includes: detecting an overload condition at a target device in a network; determining a source address of high traffic associated with the overload condition at the target device; generating a traffic suppression request including a source-destination tuple including a source identifier corresponding to the source address and a destination identifier corresponding to an address of the target device; sending the traffic suppression request to a router; configuring the router with a filter based on the source-destination tuple of the traffic suppression request; and filtering traffic between the source address and the target device based on the configured filter.

Abstract: A loyalty switch for examining loyalty messages and routing the loyalty messages to one or more loyalty hosts and examining responses and routing the responses back to stores. Such a switch has configurable number of selector handlers pool, and the switch accepts a connection from stores and reads loyalty host information from master data to establish the connection with a loyalty host and to route messages. Each selector handler in the switch has multiple store objects that contain a routing map and connection information from companies’ sites and the loyalty host.

Abstract: A battery venting system having a battery module containing a plurality of pouch cells. The battery module also includes a vent port. The battery venting system also including a vent outlet disposed on the surface of an aircraft fuselage. The battery venting system further including a vent conduit fluidly connecting the vent port of the battery module to the vent outlet. The vent conduit is configured to carry battery ejecta from the battery module, from the vent port to the vent outlet. The vent conduit includes at least a cooling fin disposed on an interior wall of the vent conduit and extending into the vent conduit, the at least a cooling fin configured to dissipate heat from the battery ejecta, when the battery ejecta is in the vent conduit.

Abstract: A radar sensor includes a housing, cover, and a plurality of transmit and receive antennas. The housing includes a cavity retaining a processing board. The cover defines a radome having a recess into the cavity with two separate and connected areas. The transmit and receive antennas are positioned on the processing board, adjacent to, and separated by a gap from, the recess. The transmit antennas are configured to transmit RF signals through the first area of the recess. The receive antennas are configured to receive RF signals returning through the second area of the recess.

Abstract: Systems and methods for differentiated application of an Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) to enhance link performance in satellite communication systems are disclosed. A system may include a processor and a memory storing instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to dynamically compute bandwidth capacity of a terminal from a plurality of terminals. Based on the computed bandwidth capacity of the terminal, the processor may automatically determine a ModCod to be applied for transmission to or from the terminal to optimize bit error rate (BER) performance. The to processor may determine the ModCod using an ACM technique. For the plurality of terminals, the processor may dynamically determine aggregate bandwidth availability and congestion within the ACM technique to optimize sharing of available bandwidth.

Abstract: A multi-axis imaging system comprising an imaging gantry with an imaging axis extending through a bore of the imaging gantry, a support column that supports the imaging gantry on one side of the gantry in a cantilevered manner, and a base that supports the imaging gantry and the support column. The imaging system including a first drive mechanism that translates the gantry in a vertical direction relative to the support column and the base, a second drive mechanism that rotates the gantry with respect to the support column between a first orientation where the imaging axis of the imaging gantry extends in a vertical direction parallel to the support column and a second orientation where the imaging axis of the gantry extends in a horizontal direction parallel with the base, and a third drive mechanism that translates the support column and the gantry in a horizontal direction along the base.

Abstract: A modular structure supports elevated rail segments for delivering electrical power to a moving work machine, such as a hauler at a mining site. End portions of rail segments having narrower widths than body portions of the rail segments are joined within a split fishplate. Laterally opposing faces within the narrowed end portions form a longitudinal overlap, and connectors underneath the rail segments pull the split fishplate together against the end portions. In arrangements with parallel rails around a curvature, the rail segments are adjusted by sliding so that the longitudinal overlap is larger for rails on an inside of the curvature compared with rails on an outside of the curvature.
