  • Patent number: 11688414
Abstract: Techniques for low power gunshot detection are disclosed. Infrared information is collected using a gunshot sensor device. The infrared information is collected using mid-infrared band sensing to provide motion detection. Additional infrared information is buffered using the gunshot sensor device. The additional infrared information is collected using near-infrared band sensing. The buffering is enabled by the motion detection. Acoustic information is collected using the gunshot sensor device. The collecting acoustic information is enabled by the motion detection. A gunshot is detected using the gunshot sensor device. The detecting is based on the additional infrared information and the acoustic information. The detecting includes monitoring the acoustic information to identify a high-intensity gunshot sound and correlating the high-intensity gunshot sound to the infrared information that was buffered.

  • Patent number: 11687165
Abstract: A method includes displaying an artificial reality environment to a user, determining a context in which the user is interacting with the artificial reality environment, and determining, based on the context, that the user intends to use a hand gesture to interact with a target virtual object within the artificial reality environment. The method further includes monitoring, while the user is attempting to interact with the target virtual object, motional patterns of the hand gesture performed by the user with respect to the target virtual object, and generating a motion-stabilization profile associated with the user based on the motional patterns. The motion-stabilization profile is configured to be utilized to stabilize the hand gesture performed by the user during subsequent user interactions within the artificial reality environment.

  • Patent number: 11684876
Abstract: A filter apparatus includes a filter, such as a cartridge, positioned within a housing. The filter apparatus has multiple ports and valves, so as to allow a user to easily switch between a filtration mode of filtering fluids and a maintenance mode of cleaning the filter. The filter can have a filter substrate in a housing and after filtrate builds up on the substrate, the substrate can be cleaned by directing a spray of fluid, such as from a ring of nozzles at the top of the housing, onto the substrate. A maintenance port can be provided to drain the debris washed from the substrate. The filter can switch between a backwash mode and a filtration mode.

  • Patent number: 11689057
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for improving wireless power transmission are disclosed herein. A method of powering an implantable ventricular assist device with an external charging device includes receiving a signal indicative of a change in a property of a deformable coil of the resonant circuit. A performance property of the deformable coil is determined based on the signal. An adjustment to a tuning of the resonant circuit is identified based on the performance property of the deformable coil. The resonant circuit is tuned according to the adjustment to the tuning of the resonant circuit. The resonant circuit is driven to transmit power to a secondary coil electrically coupled with the implantable ventricular assist device to power the ventricular assist device.

  • Patent number: 11687376
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for data protection in a cluster of data processing accelerators (DPAs) using dynamic partitioning of DPAs into, or out of, one or more groups of DPAs in the cluster. A host device instructs each DPA in the cluster to link, or unlink, with one or more DPAs in the cluster to establish groups of DPAs in the cluster. A DPA that is not linked to any DPA is set to a low-power mode. Once grouped, the host device and a DPA can access all resources of the DPA. DPAs in the same group as a first DPA can access non-secure resources, but not secure resources, of the first DPA. DPAs in a different group from the first DPA cannot access any resources of the first DPA. A scheduler in the host device allocates processing tasks for one application or user to a group.

  • Patent number: 11688263
Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices to detect and classify human and animal presence and/or motion based on changes in the interaction of the human or animal with Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) radio frequency (RF) signals within or about a building structure, such as a home or office. A first WLAN device transmits a sounding packet to a second WLAN device and receives an acknowledgement (ACK) of receiving the sounding packet by the second WLAN device. The first WLAN device uses the received ACK to determine Channel State Information (CSI) for an RF signal path between the first WLAN device and the second WLAN device, aggregates the determined CSI with additional CSI, and uses the aggregated CSI to determine a presence or a motion within the structure.
