  • Patent number: 11686251
Abstract: A combustion control system and method for a turbulent jet ignition engine is presented. A controller is configured to access a trained feedforward artificial neural network (ANN) configured to model a first spark from a first ignition source and maximum brake torque (MBT) based on measured operating parameters, generate the first spark and MBT using the ANN, generate a second spark from a second ignition device, and determine a target spark timing. The ANN can be further configured to receive an input related to spark stagger.

  • Patent number: 11687758
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments generally relate to transaction card constructions, and particularly, to a two-piece transaction card construction. Disclosed embodiments include a generally planar first card component including a first surface and a generally planar second card component including a second surface wherein the first card component is separate from the second card component. In disclosed embodiments, for example, the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a cavity and the other forms an inlay component configured to be seated within the cavity. In other embodiments the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a container and the other forms a lid configured to close the container.

  • Patent number: 11689738
Abstract: Rendered portions of a renderable portion of a first view of a multi-view signal are introduced into a prediction loop of a multi-view encoder to form a reference signal for the block-based prediction of the encoder's view predictor may improve the prediction and thereby increasing the coding efficiency. The introduction may be performed by completely inserting the renderable portion into the prediction loop to form new reference pictures with their own reference picture indices in addition to reference pictures obtained by the reconstructed version of the multi-view signal of the block-based prediction. Alternatively, the rendered portion may be introduced into the prediction loop completely, but with replacing the normal prediction reference signal, i.e., the normally reconstructed signal as obtained by block-based prediction. Alternatively, it may be signaled within the data stream which portions of the renderable portion are used to replace respective portions in the normally reconstructed signal.

  • Patent number: 11685525
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for removing a test seal part from a vent positioned on a roof of a structure and being removable without requiring a person on site to accomplish the same includes a test seal part having a surface for connection enabling removal, wherein the seal part removably sealably connects to the plumbing vent pipe, and a remote controlled apparatus and/or remote controller directly or indirectly removes the test seal part. The remote controlled apparatus can includes an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or a powered actuator having a receiver operably disposed adjacent the seal part in manner to actuate the seal part out of sealable connection with the vent pipe.

  • Patent number: 11685724
Abstract: The present invention relates to intermediate compounds for the synthesis of novel cannabinoids 1 and 2, synthesized from simple starting materials using a cascade sequence of allylic rearrangement, aromatization and, for tetracyclic cannabinoids, further highly stereoselective and regioselective cyclization. These synthesized cannabinoids can more easily be obtained at high purity levels than cannabinoids isolated or synthesized via known methods. The cannabinoids 2 are obtained containing very low levels of isomeric cannabinoids such as the undesirable ?8-tetrahydrocannabinol. The analogues with variation in aromatic ring substituents, whilst easily synthesized with the new methodology, would be much more difficult to make from any of the components of cannabis oil. Novel compounds of the formulas 3 and 6, useful as intermediates for the synthesis of the cannabinoids of advanced intermediates 4 and 5 as well as cannabinoids of the formulas 1 and 2, are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11687580
Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to auto-adjusting play time of slides based on content intelligence. The system accesses media comprising a plurality of media items, wherein a media item of the plurality of media items comprises a first content type. The system performs machine analysis associated with the first content type. Based on the machine analysis, the system determines a first display time for the first content type and derives a total display time for the media item based on the first display time. If the media item includes a second content type, then the system performs machine analysis associated with the second content type and determines a second display time for the second content type. The total display time now comprises an aggregation of the first and second display times. The system can cause a machine action based on the total display time.

  • Patent number: 11689292
Abstract: Coherent optical communications technology for recovery of 1D and 2D formatted optical signals. For example, 1D or 2D formatted signals that travel through fiber optic media may be recovered by separating the light into X- and Y-polarization components, rotating one polarization component (e.g., Y-component) into the polarization space of the other component (e.g., Y-component into the X-polarization space), delaying the rotated component enough to avoid destructive interference and combining the delayed component with the undelayed component to form a folded optical signal, which may then be processed as a X-polarized signal.

  • Patent number: 11688263
Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices to detect and classify human and animal presence and/or motion based on changes in the interaction of the human or animal with Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) radio frequency (RF) signals within or about a building structure, such as a home or office. A first WLAN device transmits a sounding packet to a second WLAN device and receives an acknowledgement (ACK) of receiving the sounding packet by the second WLAN device. The first WLAN device uses the received ACK to determine Channel State Information (CSI) for an RF signal path between the first WLAN device and the second WLAN device, aggregates the determined CSI with additional CSI, and uses the aggregated CSI to determine a presence or a motion within the structure.
